The SpaceWe live in a 3-bedroom, 1.5-bath, two-story, cape house. You're welcome to use any of the common areas to relax and enjoy your stay, such as use of the kitchen, living room and backyard.
The room sleeps 2 comfortably, 4 cozy (air mattress available for third and fourth person). There is plenty of storage for extended stays. Please inquire if you traveling with more than 2 guests.
We have off-street parking and there are no parking restrictions in our neighborhood. We just ask that there is a 2-car limit and be mindful of neighbors. Guest AccessWe do not have a key lockbox, so one of us will need to greet you to gain access. You will be given a key to the front door, and ask that you return it to one of us, or place it on one of the hooks under the mounted mirror in the front hallway. You need to give the door a good pull to get it to close. We hope to fix that soon. Interaction with GuestsThe home is spacious, but is has its limits. Due to the shared bathroom situation, we may have frequent interaction. You'll have complete privacy in your room, and with a little communication we should be able to avoid bathroom conflicts.
Generally we prepare a light breakfast in the morning and often eat dinner at home. You're more than welcome to join us in whatever way you feel most comfortable.
If you're planning to go out for the evening, we're open to sharing libations together. Or we can recommend a place for you to go. The NeighborhoodWe live in a quiet, almost rural, neighborhood, and on a corner of a 4-way intersection. There's a house on each corner. Lots of trees and minimal traffic. Sometimes we can hear Route 31, but that's rare.
You will have nearly no interactions with the neighbors.

If you view the Guidebook at the bottom of this page, I have noted a number of local places to see when you're out here. I also added "LGBTQ" to my comments if the location is queer-friendly. Getting AroundWe are in a fairly rural area. We are conveniently located just off Route 31 north of downtown Fitchburg. We're about a 10-minute drive from the Fitchburg commuter rail station, but without a vehicle, it's tough to get around.
During the academic year, the local bus, MART, has a route that extends farther up Route 31. Otherwise we are not very close to the nearest bus stop.
We are heppy to pick guests up from the commuter rail station, or drop you off at the end of your stay, but we suggest renting a car or arrange other transportation needs.
Off street parking for up to 2 vehicles is available at our home.
Fitchburg offers many things to go year-round. From live music at a local bar to holiday house tours. Plays and farmers markets. Hiking and aerial rides. Other Things to NoteWe appreciate at least a 72-hour notice of your reservation. We can certainly appreciate that people's plans may change at the last-minute and you need to find a place to stay, but we are not a hotel. If we cannot accommodate your last-minute request, we can recommend a few local hotels or B&Bs that might be able to accommodate you.
The average Airbnb reservation is made about 30 days in advance. We usually book our Airbnb stays 2-3 months in advance.
