The SpaceInside the cottage is basically a one bedroom cottage with a large Sunroom and common Living Room/Kitchen/Dinning/Great Room. There are full sized pull out sofas' in the Sunroom and Living Room. The Sunroom offers as much privacy as a Bedroom; the Living Room does not. There's a deck that wraps around the house and a patio in the backyard. There is also an out door shower off the patio so you can shower off after coming up from the beech and a large fireplace with patio in the side yard. Guest AccessYou'll be able to access the entire property as well as the shared beech and dock across the road. I have two kayaks that I leave at the property for guest usage as well as my own. You are welcome to use the record player and "Spin Vinyl" if you wish. I do not have a TV or internet. I use my cell phone as a hot spot when I'm at the cottage. Interaction with GuestsThere will be no other guests at the property however its a small lake side community and there are generally other guests or owners at the properties on the weekend more than during the week as there are no year round residents to my knowledge. The NeighborhoodFitzwilliam New Hampshire is the quintessential New England town and was featured as such many years ago on the Today Show! The Fitzwilliam Inn is a short drive, (@ 3 minutes), down the road and has an excellent Dinning Room and Bar. Mount Monadnock is about 15 minutes away and is the second most hiked mountain in the world I am told. Keene, New Hampshire is about a 15-20 minute drive north on NH Route 12 and offers a full set of conveniences for shopping, dinning and entertainment. Getting AroundYour GPS will most likely give you slightly wonky directions. Access to Sunset Road is NOT POSSIBLE from Upper Troy Road Fitzwilliam; it can only be accessed from Rhododendron Rd, Fitzwilliam. The entrance to the road is on the right if coming from town and between two large trees. There is a sign that says Sunset Road and a smaller sign the that says "Your GPS is Wrong" but no its not this is the correct entrance. Other Things to NoteI live relatively near by and can be contacted quickly if I am in town for issues. If I am traveling I usually have someone local who can help out in my place.

The SpaceThis 4000 sq. ft. home in the woods provides two separate residences on the two levels of the house, both with private entrances. The upper level (through main house entrance) provides a beautiful master suite w/ ensuite bathroom, large open-concept living and dining rooms with Bowling Green ambience and dark leather furniture, and a huge kitchen with Brazilian marble countertops and cherry cabinetry throughout. A second floor loft provides additional private space for reading, meditating or boardgames, and offers a beautiful view of the lake. This level can sleep 4, with two in the Master Suite on a California King bed, and 2 in the loft on an 18" luxury queen air mattress. The lower level provides an entire flat with master suite (California King bed), bathroom, 2nd bedroom (extended twin bed), living and dining areas, library, and reading area. A small refrigerator is also provided on this level. The private back entrance to this flat also gives guests access to the back yard going down to the lake and firepit. Guest AccessOur guests can choose which level they would like to stay in, and will be provided with access to the house and use of all the areas of that level. Kitchen access is available for breakfast as well as light cooking in the evening. Continental breakfast items will be offered in the mornings, and guests are welcome to put other food in the refrigerator during their stay as well. Interaction with GuestsWe will ideally be on site when you arrive, in which case we will welcome you with a glass of wine and a wealth of information on the Monadnock region. Your time is yours after that, and though we are a friendly and social couple, will give you as much privacy as you desire. We will be staying on the other level, and once your are settled in, will be available if needed (or if you prefer the company), but will otherwise keep to ourselves. The NeighborhoodThe house sits on a small lake and on 16 acres of forested land, far back from the road for additional privacy and quiet. Neighbors are typically hard to find, as we are separated from each other by the size of our respective properties; but should you run into one or two, you'll find them gracious and friendly. Getting AroundYou'll need your own transportation (car, bike) as no public transportation is available in the area. Other Things to NoteHiking is a big draw at Mt. Monadnock, and we are less than a mile from one of the trails going up to the peak, and only two miles from the entrance to Monadnock State Park, which provides several different trails. We are also just down the road from Little Monadnock and Gap Mountain, for shorter and/or easier hikes. A kayak is also down at the like for guest's use. We are between 10 and 15 minutes from several other lakes suitable for swimming, fishing, boating and picnicking.
