The SpaceThe living, dining and kitchen area is in one space. There is a TV and DVD player. The kitchen includes a 4 burner gas kitchenette, two-door fridge, microwave, toaster, blender and stovetop coffee maker on a granite countertop. Most of the furnishings are from IKEA. You will have a "BEDDINGE LÖVÅS" futon, a side table and dining table with 5 chairs. In the bathroom you will find a toilet, standing shower, sink, hair dryer and mirror. In the bedroom you have a bunk bed, queen size on the bottom and twin on top, and an extra twin size bed on the side. You also have some closet shelving. Some of the amenities include: A large pool with a slide, kid's pool, two jacuzzis, six huts with light and grill for barbeques, a basketball court and a children's park area. The NeighborhoodThe apartment is located in a tourist area filled with similar units called Ciudad Flamingo/Flamingo City in Morrocoy National Park. At the entrance you have a gas station, liquor store and convenience store. It is a 20 minute drive from the town of Chichiriviche, on the way you might see bright red flamingos in the swamps. In Chichiriviche you can find banks, ATMs, gas stations, supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, shops, etc. You will also find the docks where you catch the boats to all the nearest islands. You can choose personalized tours through several tourist spots or a roundtrip to the island of your choice. The most popular places to visit are Cayo Sombrero, Cayo Varadero, La Cueva del Indio (The Indian's Cave), La Cueva de la Virgen (The Virgin's Cave) and Cayo Los Juanes.
A bit further away, aproximately 30 minutes, you have the city of Tucacas where you can find more docks and marinas from where you can reach another variety of islands and beaches like Playuela, Playa Mero, Boca Paiclas and many more. Also in Tucacas you will find a variety of fast food places, banks, ATMs, gas stations, supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, shops, etc. Getting AroundThere is not much public transportation. Your best bet is to rent a car. In case you do not have a car, arrangements can be made for you to be picked up at the apartment and driven to the docks, supermarkets, banks, etc. and back for an extra fee.
