The SpaceThis fully furnished, beautiful bungalow is perfect for your visit to DFW. Whether you're staying a night or a month, you're going to be comfortable and find everything you need with all the amenities of home. A fully furnished kitchen with coffee maker, coffee, microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer, gas range, dishwasher, and more. You'll have a full size washer/dryer in the laundry room and iron/ironing board. Bathroom is stocked with fluffy towels, wash cloths, shampoo, conditioner, soap, hair dryer, and more. Queen size bed, sleeper sofa, desk, HD tv, and closet round this place out to make it feel like home. You'll also discover a number of other extras that round the place out and help you relax. You'll enjoy kicking back on the porch in the lounge chairs, drinking a glass of wine or perhaps grilling in the backyard. Either way, this updated and clean space will keep you comfortable.
Our house is next door, so we're available if you were to ever need anything. There's a door code to let yourself in so it's up to you if you even want to say hello. We won't be offended either way. We just want you to have a wonderful stay.
This location is right off highway 30 so it's close to everything--DFW airport, AT&T Stadium, Tandy Hills Nature Reserve (hiking), Trinity river bike trails, Gateway park (disc golf also), stockyards, and downtown Fort Worth. DFW Airport is about 25 minutes away. You can get to downtown Dallas in 35 minutes. AT&T Stadium is 12 miles away. Guest AccessThere's a keypad deadbolt that I'll provide a code to before your arrival so you can access the house on your own. (Codes are changed after each guest.) There's a gravel driveway and street parking available.
You'll be free to use your portion of the backyard as you'd like. A small fence separates our backyards. We're happy to show you around the yard and introduce you to our chickens and two dogs, but we just need a heads-up first. Your house and yard will not have any animals in it. Interaction with GuestsWe're here for you. Via text, phone, email, smoke signal, or hand written letter... we will do our best to over communicate. We are fine if people prefer privacy but also happy to play tour guide until you get comfortable with your surroundings. We can tell you about the best restaurants, cocktail bars, and fun things to do around here if you're so inclined. So in other words, we're flexible. The NeighborhoodWe live in an older established neighborhood that's very diverse. (Our house was built in 1924 for example.) When I speak of diversity, it means economically and racially. If the sight of minorities or a dilapidated house in the neighborhood is going to cause you to leave less than a five star review on location, please don't book our place. The social and economic diversity is part of the character of the West Meadowbrook neighborhood. And frankly, we love it. We live in a very friendly and safe area, but want you to be aware as to avoid any culture shock.
Having said that, this place is in fantastic proximity to everything and about five minutes from downtown Fort Worth. The crown jewel of our neighborhood is Tandy Hills Nature Reserve. It's over 160 acres of indigenous prairie land with a park and trails for hiking that overlooks the downtown skyline. It's an urban oasis.
We've lived here for six years and have loved it. We have no plans to move elsewhere and love the character and charm of our neighborhood. We love sitting on our porch and talking to folks passing by. We think you'll really enjoy it too. Getting AroundWe are right off highway 30 so you can get anywhere very quickly. Access in and out of the neighborhood is simple. Want to take the train to DFW airport, American Airlines Arena, downtown Dallas, or Dallas Zoo? The North Richland Hills station is about 10 min away. We're four blocks from the Spur bus line that goes downtown. Or hop in an Uber for about $5 you can be in downtown or West 7th. You can drive to downtown Dallas in 35 minutes if traffic is good. AT&T Stadium is about 15 min away. DFW airport is 25 min away. Like I said, we're close to everything by city standards.
