The SpaceThe two-story farmhouse is situated on a small working farm. The house includes a fully equipped kitchen with new countertops and modern appliances. A large dining room, a cozy living room with electric fireplace, the bathroom and laundry area are on the first floor. Upstairs features two bedrooms each with queen beds and one bedroom with two twin beds. A sofa bed in the living room provides extra sleeping space. All linens are provided for your stay. Watch chickens from the kitchen window and view the stars without light pollution from the newly constructed deck. Guest AccessThe Bowman House has a private driveway and parking area. Guests have access to the house and grounds immediately around the house. Access to buildings other than The Bowman House is by prior arrangement only, and only when accompanied by one of the owners. Interaction with GuestsKent and Paula live on the farm. Depending on the season guests can be included in activities on the farm if desired. When Kent and Paula have time they enjoy sharing locavore meals with their guests. Big Oak Ridge offers a variety of seminars throughout the year on topics pertaining to sustainable food production.
