The SpaceThe Collector's House, located at 209 W. South Street, is a 1325 square-foot, 2-story masonry “shotgun row house” built in 1920, with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, central air conditioning and original heart pine floors. (It is the right hand side of a duplex.)
Completely renovated in early 2013, this high-ceilinged, sun-filled house has been furnished to provide a relaxing, attractive oasis to guests, with all the comforts of home. (The left side of the duplex is also a vacation rental property on Airbnb, called The Artist's House.)
The Collector's House is decorated with many unusual objects from the quirky and eclectic collections of the owner's father, a true Renaissance man and self-professed 'Master Pack Rat.' (You can't take it all with you, but you CAN leave it to your children...)
The Collector's House has beds for 6 (1K, 1Q, 1T plus a pullout trundle drawer which is best suited for a child) and an additional inflatable airbed which can be set up in the dining room or living room.
There are 2 off-street parking spots, a private backyard with patio furniture, a charming native perennial garden with grape arbor, and a front porch with seating.
The Collector's House is just a short walk (3 minutes) from Frederick's town center. Convenient to shops, theatres, fine restaurants, museums, galleries and parks.
All bedrooms have designer linens, ceiling fans, dressers and closets. The King and Queen bedrooms have new Sleep Number beds. The kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances and butcher block countertops.
The bathrooms are new, as well. There is a 46" HDTV in the living room.
Ideal accommodations for wedding parties, reunions, romantic escapes, family vacations, corporate stays, girlfriends' weekends.
