The SpaceMy house is located in a small quaint town in rural Pennsylvania. It is two blocks from the local and wonderful theatre, cafes, and some interesting antique and book shops. Also in the area within driving distance there are many parks -Allegheny National Forest, Kinzua, Buckaloons, and Chapman Dam State Park, and within walking distance there are local parks such as Betts Park, Crescent Park,
and Beaty park. Guest AccessOn weekdays, guests will have access to the kitchen to make their own breakfast from my breakfast provisions. On weekends I can make a gourmet breakfast for them.
On weekdays check in needs to be after I get home from work but if needed I can make other arrangements. On weekends, it is as early as 3:00. Interaction with GuestsI am fairly busy with work, so when I am available, I can chat if the guest wishes to have conversation, and even have a challenging discussion about all viewpoints of everything in life, as I am an open and accepting person! I am looking forward to meeting others who hope to enrich their lives by meeting a welcoming host. The NeighborhoodIt is a unique and safe neighborhood with many older homes. Mine was built in 1883. The street is brick and the trees and flowers are beautiful which makes a lovely walk to local stores. My neighbors are wonderful next door and across from me, and there is a park down the street. We have a very interesting theatre called the Struthers Library Theatre which has many shows and is two blocks from my home. We have some fine dining restaurants, bars, and some diners. My three favorite restaurants are the Greek restaurant called The Plaza which has wonderful homemade pies, The Forester which has a succulent flatiron steak (driving distance), and Vita Bella, a downtown coffee shop/restaurant. In addition, there are several restaurants within walking distance: Snuffy's, on Hickory Street which has good food and drinks, Christies' Restaurant (drinks) on Pennsylvania Avenue and Jack's Tap House on Liberty Street. One can also go to Chiodo's (Italian) on Pennsylvania Avenue (drive 5 minutes). If you want to drive 20 minutes, go to Jamestown, NY for more restaurants, and we are about 45 minutes from Bemus Point or Chautauqua, NY where there are some restaurants. Getting AroundWarren has a taxi service but it is very limited. (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). There is also a convenient (within blocks) called TAWC bus (Transit Authority of Warren County), but that is only limited to certain areas. You would need a car. Or a bicycle! It is a wonderful place to ride a bicycle. If you need to be picked up at the Buffalo or Jamestown airport, there is a limousine service in Warren called Sears Luxury Transport. (URL HIDDEN) Other Things to NoteThere is a bed tax in my county which is 3% and the Pennsylvania sales tax is 7.25% (as of Jan 2016). This amount of 10.25 % of your nightly price will need to be paid in cash or check upon arrival. It is NOT built into the cost of the nightly fee.
