The SpaceFrye Island is a very unique community. Check out the website for detailed info. (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Frye Island and then go to the About page. I tried to post a link but it was blocked. The cottage has all the basic amenities. It's not the Ritz, but trust me (and the reviews of previous guests), you will LOVE it!!! It has been in my family for almost 50 years. My grandfather was the original builder. FULL DISCLOSURE: The cottage is dated, complete with some 70's shag rug, older furniture and dark wood panel walls. It was built in 1967 and aside from a small kitchen renovation 25 years ago not much else has changed. Also, as it is a cottage in the woods, expect to see some insects in the house. All the mattresses have been replaced over the past 3 years. NOTE: Recently the island changed our house numbers, no matter what any mapping service tells you the cottage is in fact on the west side of the island in the location I have specified. Guest AccessThe island has a very small store, restaurant, a 9 hole golf course, a club house with a pool, full time public safety department. You take a 9 car ferry to get to the island that runs at least every 30 minutes if not more often, though it is not a 24 hr service. It is $35 cash for a round trip ticket. You will have your own private beach but several public beaches are also on the island if you feel the need to mingle. Interaction with GuestsThis is a summer only, vacation home. We do not live there. A key will be left at the property. The NeighborhoodIt is very quiet. You can walk everywhere. The island has dirt roads and no street lights. It has about 550 houses. Getting AroundAs I said before, you will need a car to get to the island. Other Things to NoteYou will have access to a canoe as well as a private horseshoe pit. You must provide your own sheets/towels. We provide small kitchen towels, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, coffee filters and garbage bags. The TV only gets 2-3 channels. The cottage does not have internet/wifi but the store and golf club house offer free wifi. Cell reception is pretty good for ATT and Verizon (not sure about other carriers) Their is a DVD player.

Welcome to our summer home located on the picturesque Frye Island. Frye Island is a lovely island located in the heart of Sebago lake. Whether you are traveling with your family, or you are looking to just get away, our home is perfect for each scenario. With a large master suite (with its own bathroom), and plenty of bedrooms (and an additional bathroom) it is ideal for every type of family! The living room and kitchen paint was inspired by the fall leaves (we took a leaf to home depot and they were able to match the exact color!), which the foliage on the Island is truly remarkable in the autumn season! Highlights of our rental are central air, ceiling fans in every room, and a large deck with patio seating and a grill! You'll definitely wake up and think, "I should have my coffee outside today." The home is within walking distance from Beach 6, also known as "cocktail beach." This beach is ideal for all ages, whether you have a baby, you're 21, or any age! The miniature lighthouse will be the background for many of your pictures, and I promise the views of the sprawling mountains from the beach are sure to not disappoint! We hope you enjoy it as much as our family has! To rent our home we are asking for $800/week, with a $250 security deposit (which is refundable as long as the home is returned in the condition in which it was received). Want to bring your dog!? We welcome you to, but we do require an additional $100 with the security deposit, that is also refundable!
