The house is furnished in comfortably country-style. Lake Fuschl is located in the beautiful Salzkammergut. We rent a total of two double rooms and one single room. Guest AccessOur guests can stay in the garden and use the patio furniture, chairs, etc.. Also the outdoor kitchen and a refrigerator can be used by our guests. Interaction with GuestsWe like private contact with our guests and offer them to have breakfast with us and our other guests and spend time together at the campfire. As our guests come from all over the world we have allways great communications. The NeighborhoodAbsolutely quiet location. Fuschl offers beautiful scenery, wonderful sunsets, magnificent lake for swimming and boating, etc. as well as numerous well marked hiking trails. You can do hiking, nordic walking, biking or make trips to the most interesting views of Salzkammergut, to Salzburg, Bad Ischl, St. Gilgen, Mondssee, Attersee, Altaussee, Grundlsee, Hallstatt and much more. (If necessary bicycles and e-bikes can be rented in Fuschl.) Even winter sports is possible: In Fuschl or Faistenau (nearby) there are many well-groomed trails. In Hintersee (15 min. by car) there is a nice area for alpine skiing. Nice restaurants near by: My favorite place is Edenbergers Café am See. Here you get the best pizzas and the most beautiful sunset overlooking Lake Fuschl. (reservation needed). The restaurant Seegartl - right on the lake is also one of my favorites. Very good food, gorgeous sunset, nice ambiance. (Open daily throughout). In Fuschl we have two supermarkets, a bakery, a souvenier-shop, a bar, a bank and a touristinformation with post-office. Getting AroundYou can also reach our house by train and airplane (to Salzburg) and from there by public bus (no. 150) to Fuschl am See. Near by there is a car rental service.

          A stunning and spacious two bedroom luxury apartment, close to the centre of St Gilgen. Tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard, this apartment offers the utmost in comfort and luxury during your holiday. As well as two bedrooms, there are two bathrooms (one with a bath & shower over). There is free wifi and two televisions for entertainment. The apartment has a long dual aspect balcony with outside furniture for dining alfresco whilst enjoying the wonderful lake and mountain views. Perfect for a family with older children, a group of friends or 2 couples, who appreciate the finer things in life. A 7 minute walk to St Gilgen's main Spar supermarket and Bistro and just 6 minutes walk to the bus stops for buses to Strobl, Bad Ischl, Mondsee, Fuschlsee and Salzburg. The village centre, where you can enjoy local tradition and fayre can be reached in approximately 10-12 minutes with a few minutes further to the lake and lakeside promenade, where you can partake in numerous watersports, bathe, swim or even take a paddle steamer or ferry across to visit the other lakeside villages of Abersee, Strobl and St Wolfgang. Just 10 minutes walk from the apartment is the cable car which takes you to the top of the Zwolferhorn mountain, where you can relax, again enjoy some traditional fayre whilst taking in the spectacular views across the stunning Austrian mountain ranges and over the surrounding villages and lakes. In the winter months,you can ice skate in the village centre or ski on the Zwolferhorn mountain.

            This top floor apartment is furnished and equipped to a good standard in typical Austrian charm and style. There is a good sized double bedroom, a smaller second bedroom with 2 single beds, large bathroom with double sinks, bath and shower over and separate toilet. The spacious lounge has a large sofa with seating for 6-8 people. The sofa also converts into 2 more single beds, providing comfortable accommodation for 6 people. There is a TV with a vast selection of German and Austrian channels and also CNN and Eurosport. Alternatively, an assortment of films are available to watch on the DVD player. The lounge also has a very attractive log fire. The kitchen is equipped with all the usual requirements for a family holiday. The dining area has a traditional Austrian feel with a large table and bench seat with seating for 6-8 people and has views out over the village and lake. There is a good sized balcony accessible from the lounge with a table and 4 chairs and parasol for use. The view is spectacular all year round. The cellar has a washing room with washing machine and tumble dryer, both payable locally. There is also a drying room with washing line and pegs available. In addition, there is a large storeroom with ski rack. HOLIDAY LETTINGS REFUSE TO ALLOW US TO SHOW PRICES LESS THAN A WEEK STAY. IF YOU WISH TO STAY FOR LESS THAN A WEEK, PLEASE CONTACT US FOR A PRICE. Unlike other landlords, we DO NOT believe in charging many 'extras' as we feel the price quoted is the price you should pay and that you should not have to be charged for each set of towels or sheets you use or for the small tourist tax. Therefore the only extra we have is a cleaning fee. This varies from 45 Euro to 75 Euro depending on the size of the party. We also strive to keep our security deposit as low as possible, as we believe you are coming on holiday, not moving in for the year! The cost of travel is high enough without adding several hundreds of pounds on as security. Please contact us to enquire about flexible dates. A week does NOT have to be weekend to weekend. The apartment is also available for stays under a week, BUT A MINIMUM OF THREE NIGHTS on a pro rata basis in the off seasons AT OUR DISCRETION. The village of St. Gilgen is located on the shores of Lake Wolfgang in the heart of Austria's Salzkammergut, ‘Lake District’ region. Breathtaking scenery and easy access to the city of Salzburg make this an excellent base to explore the surrounding area. The village itself, less than 10 minutes walk from the apartment, has a pretty centre with ample facilities including 2 supermarkets, bakeries, local shops, banks, Internet café {summer only} and restaurants. Rising from the shore of Lake Wolfgang to the east is the Schafberg Mountain with its funicular railway. Behind the apartment is the Zwolferhorn Mountain with a cable car which runs throughout the year, weather permitting. Ski the Zwolferhorn in winter staight back the apartment. Paraglide it in summer! The beautiful waterfront promenade is home to many restaurants, coffee shops and bars, where you can sit and enjoy the view. The boats to St. Wolfgang and Strobl also depart from here. The village has tennis courts and a good sized indoor swimming pool which is open throughout the year. During the summer months one may swim in the lake {one of the warmest in the area} and sunbathe on the beaches. Walking The town is perfect for walkers with 80km of marked paths in and around St Gilgen, all easily accessible from the centre of the resort. The cable car will take you to the top of the Zwolferhorn Mountain, at 1,522 metres, where you will find a number of paths and many huts offering food and drink with fantastic panoramic views. You may wish to return by cable car or on foot. Alternatively, the area is very popular with paragliders and there is a local paragliding school based at the cable car base. Other popular walks include the three hour walk through peaceful woods to St Wolfgang. Walking maps are available at the Tourist Information office. Cycling The area has numerous cycle paths around the lake and cycle hire is available in the village. Around Lake Wolfgang During the summer the historic mountain railway, (website: hidden), runs to the top of the Schafberg where you can spend the night in the mountaintop hotel or simply enjoy the view and walk or ride down. You can also continue on the ferry to visit the lovely town of Strobl with its lakeside promenade. This is a lovely 2 bedroom holiday apartment, in an elevated position overlooking the village of St. Gilgen. There are wonderful views down the lake, across to St. Wolfgang and Strobl. The mountains and lakes make this an ideal winter and summer destination.

A typical Austrian village, with a friendly atmosphere and an easy-going pace of life. There is a variety of restaurants, many offering a selection of fresh fish from the lake and homemade apple strudel. In the summer the lake can be enjoyed for swimming, sailing and other watersports or for a paddle steamer cruise calling at all the other lakeside villages. There is also tennis, pitch and putt and bicycles are available for hire and come supplied with a map of the local cycle routes. There is a cable car from the edge of St Gilgen to the top of the Zwรถlferhorn mountain where panoramic views are breathtaking. The ski areas of the Postalm and Hintersee are just a 30 minute drive by car or you can take the daily ski bus to the Postalm. The Postalm is very much a family ski area and a selection of runs are suitable for both beginners and more experienced skiers.
