    The SpaceThis lovely property is situated on Mudge Island, which is located in the Gulf Islands between Vancouver Island and the mainland of BC. The property is a Westcoast style cottage (completed February 2003). It comprises of 3 bedrooms, den and two bathrooms and is situated on False Narrows facing Gabriola Island. This beautiful cedar constructed cottage offers every thing one could wish for a peaceful hide away from the world. Everything for a perfect vacation is included just bring your groceries (there are no stores of any kind on Mudge) and relax. There is a 200 square foot deck set back 60 feet from the seashore and a host of architectural delights. Set on 0.8 acres of land with approximately 700 feet of easily accessible beach front, down a short staircase. The beach is also accessible by shallow draft boat at high tide and is a delight to view and explore at low tide. At low tide there are edible clams, crabs and oysters for the picking and for much of the year sea lions and seals along with eagles and herons can be viewed hunting for fish in false narrows from the deck. The Cottage will sleep 6 people easily. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and en suite bathroom also there is a crib, booster feeding seats etc. for infants and toddlers. The second bedroom comprises of a queen/ single bunk bed (with extra trundle bed) and the third bedroom is a single/ single bunk bed. The living room and den both have queen size sofa beds. This is a no-pet property, no exceptions, sorry. This 2-bedroom with 1 spacious conversion den easily sleeps 5-6 people comfortably with the option to accommodate more if needed, just let us know. The 2nd floor bedrooms have spectacular views of sunrise/moon and sunsets. The master bedroom has a king size bed. The second bedroom includes a double bed. The den has a double/single bunk bed. The living room also has a queen size sofa-bed. There is a 4-piece bathroom on the main floor and 2-piece bathroom on the 2nd floor. The large driveway accommodates 3-4 vehicles and/or boats if you’d like to use the house as a home base for outdoor adventures. Access the large wraparound deck from the main floor of the house where you can relax in a chair hammock, read in the sun, or watch the deer in the back garden from a shady spot. Enjoy the walking trails and pick blackberries to your heart’s content! The kitchen is fully equipped for gourmet cooking and there is a barbecue on the front porch. The NeighborhoodLocated on the northern end of Gabriola Island, this central yet rural location puts all of Gabriola's attractions and amenities just a short walk or drive away. Ike’s organic fruit stand, Sunset Beach, The Surf Pub, and swimming beaches are all within walking distance. More great swimming spots, the Gabriola town centre, and ferry terminal are within a 10-minute drive. Biking is also a popular way of exploring the island. Grabriola is known as "the Isle of the Arts" so be sure to visit the many artist studios and galleries, take in the Theatre Festival, Music or Art Festivals. The Gabriola Market on Saturdays from 10am - 1pm (summer season) features the work of many local artists as well as local produce, treats and baked goods. If you miss the Saturday market there is also a small market at Silva Bay on the south end of the Island on Sunday. Many Gabriola artists have work displayed all over the world! There are fishing charters available and don't forget to watch for the occasional whale, seal, otter, then come home and relax. Look out for deer families that come to visit and watch and listen for eagles flying overhead to their nearby nest. Getting Around- Gertie: Gabriola's Community Bus will take you by request almost anywhere on the Island and has a great schedule. You can just call in a request. - Biking is very popular here (streets are not lit at night). - The Island is bigger than it seems and a small car can be nice to have when exploring. I am quite social, so is my son, but we are quite in tune with personal space. The NeighborhoodGabriola is the quintessential West Coast island. It is laid back, has beautiful beaches, and eclectic population of artists. Amongst it all is the 'Nomadic Bull B & B'. Situated on a quiet crescent there is little traffic and the house (which I built myself) is located on a half acre lot. It is surrounded by huge cedars and firs and is adjacent to a peaceful pond. There is a 700 acre park 5 minutes down the road and the neighbors are a cheerful bunch. I might be biased when I say this....but it is paradise. Getting AroundGabriola isn't a huge island...but there are options. It is only a ten minute walk to the village where guests can rent bicycles. If time is of the essence there is also a taxi service or better still you can ride Gertie! Gertie is our community bus and she does a mighty fine job of getting folks where they want to go. Other Things to NoteThe 'Nomadic Bull' is only 5 minutes by car from the ferry and 3 to the village. The nearest beaches are less then 10 minutes and the furthest are 25. One of the largest parks on the island is a 5 minute walk from the front door.

The lower part of the house is the self contained suite with it's own entrance so you can come and go as you please. We're just steps away from beautiful beaches with stunning views across the ocean to the mountains on the mainland. Wildlife abounds so you'll see otters, seals, eagles and maybe even whales sailing by. The beaches are a perfect mixture of white sand for building sand-castles, and sandstone for rock pools full of little creatures. Guest AccessWe welcome individuals, family groups and children, and can provide a selection of holiday kit for all ages, including masks and snorkels, body boards, and a selection of bikes, all free. So whether your looking for a peaceful retreat in which to rest and think, a base for a young family holiday, or anything in between, we can help. Consider a sunset sail to Silva Bay for dinner, or have dinner catered aboard. Come explore this beautiful island. Gabriola has three Provincial Parks, ancient petroglyphs, numerous walking trails, and artisan studios. We are only 13KM from the Gabriola Island ferry dock, and can arrange pickup. There is also float plane service to Gabriola Island from Vancouver. Stay for a week or a weekend (2 days minimum)-- unwind, relax and rejuvenate. The living room area has a comfortable couch that opens into a queen size bed, as well as a 46"HD TV with DVD player and VCR. The kitchen is full size with a pub-type eating area and 4 suede-covered bar stools.       Imagine being rocked to sleep aboard our beautiful 42 Ft. Baltic Sailboat moored on gorgeous Gabriola Island in Degnen Bay..( AKA Paradise) Wake up to the sounds of seagulls and the musky scent of the ocean..and bring your coffee up to the cockpit to drink it ALL in.. For those of you who want MORE , we can provide Captain & chef for one couple or small family, and YOU can design your adventure/romantic getaway as you wish..either exploring the Gulf Islands, or taking an opportunity to learn sailing under the expert tutelage of Skipper Tim Melville, certified CYA and ISPA instructor. Use our paddle boards, kayak, bike....get married!....just imagine the possibilities... We provide coffee and continental breakfast, linens, and atmosphere...(okay I guess Mother Nature provides MOST of it!) there are restaurants nearby at Silva Bay Marina, and we are 13KM from the picturesque Village and the ferry dock to/from Nanaimo.         The Nomadic Bull B&B; is a laid back home on Gabriola Island. The Cedar Room has a queen sized bed, a 32" flat screen TV, DVD player, Netflix, and a separate 3 piece (shower) bathroom. The kitchen, dining, living room, grounds and deck are common areas and if you like to putter you can putter away in the garden. We have a great location, close to the stores, beaches and golf course. Come to Gabriola and make the Nomadic Bull your home for however long you wish to stay. The Nomadic Bull is located in a prime location. Situated on a crescent it remains quiet and peaceful, even during the busy summer holidays. It is close to the main shopping area and the ferry. The local golf course is just down the road. There are three marinas at the south end of the island. If you enjoy hiking there is a 700 acre park a short distance from the B&B.; Gabriola Island is not a huge island so you can be at any beach within 25 minutes by car, with the closest being around 5 minutes away. The nice thing about Gabriola is that no matter which way the wind is blowing you can find a peaceful beach to throw down a towel. During the summer there is a weekly Farmers Market and numerous artisans throw the doors to their studios open. It is a great island for a family getaway!! Come on over.

          The NOMADIC BULL is a funky down country home B & B on beautiful 'Gabe,' (short for Gabriola Island). It is run by myself, my son Cole, and our Black Lab, Heidi. It is conveniently located five minutes from the ferry, three minutes from the village and anywhere from five to 15 minutes from most of the beaches. The Pine room has a queen sized bed, 42" flat screen TV, DVD player and Netflix. Common areas include the kitchen, dining and living rooms, grounds and deck and if you like to putter you can putter away in the garden. If you require more than one room we can offer a second, please inquire for details. We have a great location, we're close to the stores, beaches and golf course. Come to Gabriola and make the Nomadic Bull your home for however long you wish to stay. Located on Wildwood Crescent the Nomadic Bull B&B; is conveniently located a short hop from the village, the ferry, the golf course and the beaches. As it is a crescent there is little traffic which makes it a great place to relax. The big cedars and pond don't hinder the peaceful feeling either!

          The estate consists of four homes connected by a paved, 1/3 mile oval driveway, in a very private, peaceful, and pretty and park-like setting. The main residence is set back about 1/3 of a mile from the rental homes to ensure maximum privacy for all. There are four houses on the estate. The first two "The Gate House" and "The Round House" are approximately a city block apart, and are 150 and 300 feet from cozy Descanso Bay. The first two "The Gate House" and "The Round House" are approximately a city block apart, and are 150 and 300 feet from cozy Descanso Bay. The interior has a vaulted ceiling, a Four Poster Queen size bed over 7 feet high done in solid ash, and custom wall covers that make for a warm and romantic atmosphere. The living room area has a comfortable couch that opens into a queen size bed, as well as a 46"HD TV with DVD player and VCR. The kitchen is full size with a pub-type eating area and 4 suede-covered bar stools. Kitchen is complete with full size stove, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, pots, pans and utensils. The bathroom has both a shower and bathtub. This cottage, though designed for a romantic interlude, is also perfect for a family with 2 children, or friends. The cottage is one large suite approx. 550 sq.ft.
