Wonderful ancient petroglyphs abound, hike on the Hogback on in the arroyos or on formal hiking trails nearby. If you ride, there are 2 nearby stables, or bring your own horses. Three berdoom, 2 1/2 bath, ranch-style furnished house with office and sunroom. Large living area,(approx 30x40') with dining "L". New kitchen with 6 burner gas stove, high velocity oven copper sink, sandstone counters. Overlooks very large portal with 16 skylights (about 21'x40'. Huge master bedroom with king-size bed, and Large screen TV area. Walk-in closet. Bath 12'x20'with 2 sinks large shower/handicap outfitted. Other 2 bedrooms with Queen beds. Small horse barn with corral. Double garage-walk-in to kitchen. Located on dirt road .9 mi from main road. about 25-35 minutes to Santa Fe via 2 different routes. Historic village of Galisteo 1/12 miles from house. 4 acres fenced if you have pets. Total property is 20 acres. Satellite TV, high speed internet, Landline service (no cell in area) Utilities included (gas, electric and water) Available from June 1 to August 20 There is no cell phone reception at the property so the phone service includes unlimited long distance Additional fees may apply: - HDTV | 90 USD per month | per month,or pro rated for week - security deposit | 750 USD per month - High Speed internet | 50 USD per month The last home on McKee Road (dirt) at the top of a slight grade. No other homes within sight. View from all front windows of a volcanic formation (Hogback) topped by large rocks with many ancient petroglyphs. Looking out from the portal there is a very large rock formation with Spanish era crosses engraved on it. Desert landscape surrounded by the Ortiz mountains to the South and the Sangre de Cristo Range to the North. Fabulous sunrises and sunsets from the West windows.

Its’ capacious living quarters stretch out into two wings that embrace the landscape and the glorious view of Cerro Pelon Mountain and the Ortiz Range. The adobe style house immediately welcomes you into its’ warm embrace as you walk in the front door. You are greeted by the comfort of the spacious living room with its’ beamed ceiling and kiva fireplace that draw you in and entice you to sink into the large, inviting couch. Interaction with GuestsOn-site property manager Dr. Christopher lives in a separate home 400 ft and secluded from Hacienda Linda. He is available if needed but will provide you all the privacy you need. The NeighborhoodWithin short driving distance of other stars in the New Mexico constellation; Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Bandelier, and Taos are easy day trips from the Hacienda. Though many of our guests find that the allure and comfort of the Hacienda is so great, that they curtail their sightseeing to spend more time in their Galisteo home. Getting AroundThe Agora supermarket is 10 minutes away and has everything you need. Gas station, SF Brewing Company, great pizzeria, post office, yoga studio, cafe, library, etc. Other Things to NoteBeautiful stone labyrinth just off the gazebo near stone fire pit. Native guardian spirits have been seen by psychic mediums and the care for the land and are peaceful, loving and assist in healing of those who are open to receiving.

Excluding main large house property and gazebo located a football field away as other guests may be staying there and require their own privacy ( ask if you'd like to use gazebo for event/wedding/etc.). You may venture south or left of the gazebo to visit the outdoor labyrinth. Behind Casita completely private. Interaction with GuestsRarely unless guests need anything but I'm very friendly and can host guests for tea, if need washing machine or holistic chiropractic and energy healing services for an extra fee. Self check-in. Owner lives next door as needed but allows complete privacy. The NeighborhoodGalisteo church is 1.4 miles from our casita and picturesque historic cemetery. You can see the old western Hollywood movie set on the south west horizon from your windows where such movies as Tombstone, Young Guns, Thor, Wild Wild West were filmed. The artsy, historic mining town of Madrid is 15 miles with shops, galleries, 2 restaurants and The Mine Shaft museum and bar. Santa Fe is 25 miles. Agora shopping center is 13 miles with grocery, post office, cafe, yoga studio, Santa Fe Brewing. Getting AroundBus into Santa Fe located at Galisteo church 1.4 miles from Casita Stella. Amtrak train in neighboring town of Lamy (9 miles away) goes to Albuquerque, Los Angeles or Chicago everyday. Possible rides into Santa Fe if I go into town or if need ride to airport, etc. (gas fee may apply). Closest shopping, gas, restaurants and brewery is in Eldorado which is 10 minutes form Galisteo towardsSanta Fe on 285.       Beautiful guesthouse in historic village of Lamy, New Mexico located 20 minutes SE of downtown Santa Fe. Lamy is the official train stop for Santa Fe and you have wonderful hiking, walking and biking trails just outside your door. The guesthouse is large and spacious with beautiful views with, WIFI Internet, Phone and Privacy. Perfect for one person, a couple, or small family. King and twin bed. No pets. If you love the opera in the summer, skiing in winter, hot air ballooning in the fall or art museums, Santa Fe's summer activities such as the Folk Art Market, Indian Market, and a place to stay where you can call your 'home' away from home, then this is the guesthouse for you. There is a friendly family dog on the property in the compound so if you do not like dogs at all, then you should consider other properties. Weekend rental, a week or longer stays are all possible.
