The SpaceOur gorgeous beach home is available for your own personal beach retreat! Wake with the morning light to the sight & sound of the waves & be the first person to leave your footrpints in the sand :) The home has been designed to catch the sea breezes with big sliding doors and louvre windows and fans throughout. The lounge and main bedroom are air-conditioned for the odd occasions you may need it. Leave the internal doors open to cool the whole house. The Beach House Toolakea is a fully renovated, stylish and comfortable home. We have 3 bedrooms, one bathroom (with a luxurious deep bath), an open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area with kitchen and laundry. There is a huge veranda with multiple seating options including a luxurious day bed and a fabulous observation tower, perfect for afternoon drinks watching the sunset! The living area has a 4 seater dining table, leather lounge (with chaise), comfortable arm chair and floor cushions for the kids (& adults) to lounge on. There is a television & DVD in the lounge and a selection of DVDs for you to enjoy. The home is tiled throughout so it's cool and easy to keep clean. Bed linen and towels are provided. This gorgeous Beach House will take you back to your childhood when people had real family holidays! We are located right on the beachfront at Toolakea Beach, a hidden gem in the north Queensland coastline. Walk along the sandy path to the beach & enjoy hours of beach combing, birdwatching or fishing. This area is a photographers delight with many photo opportunities - beautiful sandy stretches, mangrove inlets and stunning sunrises/sunsets. This is a beautiful safe & peaceful environment. CHECK IN: Our standard check in time is 2pm and check out is 10am. We are more than happy to be flexible dependent on your individual arrival and departure times & other guest bookings - please ask! Guest AccessThe house is open and easy. We like our guests to feel at home. If you like to cook our kitchen is well equipped. Preferring a quiet read by the pool or in the garden with a glass of wine is always great option. Interaction with GuestsA coffee, a glass of wine by the pool and a chat needed can be arranged. Should some peace and quiet alone time be your thing we have just the space in our relaxed happy atmosphere. We both work from home, attempting to keep business hours with flexiblity!! The NeighborhoodOur neighbourhood is friendly and relaxed, although so close to main shopping centre and main roads is very quiet. Getting AroundPublic transport is at the end of the street. it is a 10 minute taxi ride from (URL HIDDEN) to drop off and pick up should we be available. The SpaceThis is our own home which we make the whole place available nearly every school holidays. We are school teachers, have most of our family living away, therefore visit them during many of our school holidays! It is a very simple home that we are gradually renovating. Building the back deck has been our first project. Situated in the suburb of Mount Louisa, Townsville, you are close to everything. The airport, shopping centres, the beach, the river and parklands. There are 3 bedrooms: 2 bedrooms with queen beds and 1 bedroom with a single bed. A portable cot is also available if needed. They all have air-con and fans. The house has one bathroom and a separate toilet. The U shaped kitchen has everything you need for all your cooking. We offer complimentary FREE WIFI. An open plan living area is perfect for socialising and has ceiling fans. There is a back deck with outdoor furniture and a bbq for you to use. The shared laundry facilities are downstairs. There is a small innerspring mattress and a portable cot available as well as a stroller and 1 baby car seat. They are stored in the storage shelves in the laundry area. We keep our prices low because we do enjoy having a convenient place for people to stay as we have used airbnb ourselves, and appreciate the convenience it provides, we want your stay to be memorable and affordable. Guest AccessYou will be able to enter the front door using the key in the secret spot. It is kept in a small black magnetic box that is attached to the square white pole just near the front door. It is about knee height. Use this one to get in and then put it straight back please. Your own key will be left on the table inside. Interaction with GuestsWe will be away during your stay, as this is when we offer the place as holiday accommodation. If you have any questions or problems, don't hesitate to message us. You are welcome to use items from the fridge and pantry for your cooking needs. There will most probably be other guests staying downstairs, so feel free to introduce yourselves and have a chat! The NeighborhoodOur neighbourhood is very quiet and friendly. It is the perfect place to relax for a few days in your travels. -Just around the corner there are a row of shops that boast the best delicatessen in Townsville, a general store, a renowned bakery, a butcher, a bottle shop, and a popular fish & chips shop, all within a 2 minute walk. -A minute's drive away is a supermarket. -About a 3 minute drive brings you to the Castletown shopping complex with a gym right beside it for the health conscious. - About a 5 minute drive in another direction (towards the Hospital & Uni) brings you to the Stockland shopping complex which includes Myer and Kmart etc. -Around walk around the corner is a very nice park with swings, play equipment for children and soccer fields. -The Warrina Cinema is a 3 minute drive away (straight down Bayswater Rd) -The popular free Riverway swimming complex is a short drive. -Last but not least the famous and beautiful Strand and Castle Hill are a 15 minute drive, along with all the popular coffee shops and restaurants The Strand has to offer, 5 minutes from the strand is Palmers St which boasts many restaurants and bars, all accessible by car from our home of course. On the strand there are many ferries that can take you to the picturesque Magnetic Island including a car ferry for those wishing to take their car, otherwise there are buses on the island for a one time fee of approximately $6 will take you around the island as many times as you want. Getting AroundIt is best to have your own car in order to see most of what this city has to offer on your own time. If you need to hire a car, other guests have found Economy Car Rentals good value. If you do not have a car then public transport is close by on Banfield Drive and Bayswater Road. It will take you to the city or out towards the Stocklands shopping centre near the hospital and Uni. We are 5 mins from TSV airport. 10 mins drive north to The Strand & CBD 10 mins drive south to the hospital and University. Other Things to NoteThe wheelie bins are collected every Thursday morning, so it would be much appreciated if you could put the bins out on Wednesday night. They are located below the bbq, under the back deck.

The SpaceThis downstairs one bedroom flat is a great place to make home base for a few days. Accommodates a family of 4. FREE WIFI which is always a plus! It is in a quiet street within walking distance to shops. 5 minutes from Airport. Entire little flat on the bottom floor of our 2 storey house. It is air-conditioned, sunny, breezy and very comfortable to spend any amount of time. Considerably bigger than a studio, it has its own bedroom. The queen sized bed has a comfortable innerspring mattress. There is a separate living room/kitchen with all utensils and items needed for cooking, a good sized fridge, and in the lounge there is a TV and a sofa that folds out into a double bed (perfect for kids, and a few nights for adults). The sofa bed sheets and other items are kept in the bedroom wardrobe top shelf. There is also an outdoor entertaining area, with outdoor furniture, all under cover for your convenience. There is space to park your car included. This Flat is priced at only 1 person, there is a fee for each other person that stays. Please include the total number of people staying when filling out the payment forms. We cannot wait to host you! :) Go straight in the glass sliding door. The unit will be unlocked when you arrive, and your key waiting on the bench. Please leave it unlocked when you leave. You are welcome to park your car in the carport near the door. You are also welcome to use the shared laundry unit we have under the house. There is a washing machine and a few different clothes lines to hang out clothes for a quick dry. This is ideal for people wanting to look after themselves, but we will do our best to assist you if you have any problems or queries. If it is school holidays, we will most probably be away. We list our upstairs unit on airbnb during school holidays, so it is likely there will be guests staying there. Introduce yourselves and have a chat! Our neighbourhood is very quiet and friendly. The SpaceThere are two rooms available in this rustic cottage for private use. The first has a double mattress on the floor, fan and high ceilings. The second has a single bed, BIR and fan. Neither has air-conditioning, but the cottage has been designed to promote sea breezes flowing through the house so it is not necessary. I am in the third bedroom. All other areas except the shed are available for communal use. The full equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, new gas stovetop, fridge, toaster, food processor, slow cooker, kettle, etc. The bathroom includes a new washing machine. The furniture is spare but sufficient. Linen and towels are included, as well as basic toiletries and breakfast. You're welcome to use the wireless for reasonable usage (e.g. using search engines and checking email but not downloading movies). No TV but plenty of books, birds and a ukulele, as well as decks to relax on. A Castle Hill walking track is only 2 blocks away. Minimum 2 night stay please. The price is per room per night. Guest AccessEverywhere except the shed and my private room. Interaction with GuestsThe home has a large collection of pamphlets on touristy things to do in Townsville. There's also books on northern Australian plants, birds and architecture. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have, or respect your space and leave you alone as you wish. The NeighborhoodWest End is an inner city suburb full of character homes - my home is part of Townsville's Character Residential zone, which includes quintessential Queensland houses that typify tropical living. Castle Hill walking tracks are only 2 blocks away. You can walk to an IGA, Ingham Road Seafood is at the end of the street, the West End teahouse and various delis are close, as are the historical West End Hotel and cemetery. The local bowls club and Adventist and Anglican churches are just down the road. And you can walk into the CBD. Getting AroundThere are bus routes one block away. Best of all, you can walk - either directly to town via roads, or through Castle Hill to the CBD or the Strand. I'd also be happy to lend you my bike. A taxi from the airport costs $10 - $15. Other Things to NoteMango season is coming up! The good part of this is that you may be here when the trees are ripe - yum! The bad thing is that they fall off and hit the roof sometimes - it's not a big deal but you may wonder what the noise is. The house is old - but personally, I think this adds to the charm :)

The unit caters for ~2-4 airbnb guests (mix of singles and couples) at any given time via separate bookings for each room. Occasionally, you could have the unit all to yourself. This is purely dependent upon which rooms are booked during your stay. At times, you may also enjoy interacting with multiple guests from different cultures and countries. The bathroom and kitchenette are areas that are designed for clean, organised shared living spaces. Kitchen and tv lounge are shared where we may have a cuppa and a chat Getting AroundAirport is 7km from here so Taxi cost approximately 20aud. If i am not working, i can come to pick you from the airport as well (provided your luggage is not too much) :)

    The SpaceBeautiful, newly renovated secure room with private ensuite shower room and queen bed. Relax in style on the deck outside or in the pergola beside the pool. Breakfast indoors in air-conditioning in the warmer months or eat on the deck to fully enjoy the breezes and stunning views of Castle Hill & Magnetic Island. Guest AccessFeel free to use the lower deck and pool area which has comfy loungers and a double hammock, perfect for reading a book or sipping a cocktail. (Ask about our free Kitty's Comet). There is no access to the kitchen but a microwave, fridge, toaster, sandwich toaster and kettle are provided for your use. Interaction with GuestsI will be available to offer help and some lifts and I am happy to make reservations for dinner at one of our fab restaurants here in Townsville. It's a perfect place to relax and unwind. Local deli, bottleshop, bakery and park are within walking distance and there's a supermarket, pharmacy and fish and chip shop 3 minute drive away. Very handy to the airport and to the Bruce Highway for those heading North to Cairns or South towards Airlie Beach. Getting AroundThere is a bus stop within walking distance. (See Sunbus for timetables). If available, I am more than happy to drop you into town or to the Strand or Riverway. We are a 10 minute drive from the airport. Other Things to NoteDon't bother packing shampoo, conditioner, hairspray, hairdryer, talcum powder or soap as it's all provided free of charge. Pool towels are also available. We have a huge selection of reading material available that you are welcome to borrow/exchange, as well as a large collection of movies for you to borrow and watch in the privacy of your own room.

There is a single lock up garage with secure parking. This space is great value for money!!! There is a small studio apartment downstairs that is on air bnb. Kangaroo's and wildlife a few minutes walk away Getting AroundThere is a bus that goes into Townsville city, but we can probably drop you in there, maybe pick you up. Shopping centers are a couple of minutes drive away. Other Things to NoteIf hithching or getting off the bus, we are 15minute walk from the corner and the bus companies stop there on request. But just call me and I'll pick you up. I want to host and get lots of positive references before July 2016!

    The SpacePrivacy is assured in this Fully furnished/self contained unit. Split system airconed the area is small but cosy. There is single lock up secure car space available if needed. The apartment has its own kichen, bathroom and laundry area it is fully equiped with everything you could want for a short or long term stay. So close to the airport.
