There are also plenty of perks to help you enjoy your visit, like storage space for your bike and skis. Or how about the two kayaks you can borrow to experience the many rivers and lakes in the Boise area?
Its dark wood floors contrasting beautifully with pastel walls and vibrant yellow, green and blue accents, the home will keep your eyes busy even as you relax in this cozy space on plush furniture. Entertainment abounds in the family/TV room downstairs with plenty of amenities like Netflix Streaming, an iPod dock, a CD and DVD player (there's BluRay as well!). So load up the iPod and make sure you pack some of your favorites movies. Or, opt for a low-tech diversion, like a board game or a book.
And, since every dog has his day (pooches, incidentally, are welcome for $10 a day per pup $40 minimum per stay), your doggy will have an enclosed yard to play in, and a special bed at night to curl up in. Please note that the neighbors' well-behaved and welcoming dogs use the yard as well.
From its lime-colored walls, to its gorgeous earthen tile floors and counters, this home's kitchen is, top to bottom, the very picture of style and efficiency. Your cook will appreciate both the space and the convenience of a huge double fridge with in-door dispenser for that cool glass of water on the fly, the stove and microwave, and the dishwasher for easy clean ups. Pack a bag of your favorite coffee beans and enjoy that same cup of java you have at home with the coffee grinder and French press. And, there's a corkscrew in the drawer, and wine glasses in the charming built-in cabinet. So, enjoy that special vintage chianti with your meal. Serve it up at the dining table with room for four.
Off to the side of the living area is a small sitting area with a day bed and writing table where you can go over the day's receipts, or bring up the laptop and check your email with the free WiFi. Right around the corner from the bed is a full bathroom, making this a cozy sleeping spot for an extra guest.
This edgy and beautiful home has one bedroom; but what a bedroom it is! This wall-less space - with a queen bed mounted on an ornate metal frame - seems palatial, its modern yet warm atmosphere accented by a decor filled with unpretentious rectangular shelves, and round-shaped lamps, all resting on the same gorgeous tile floor. There's a second full bath upstairs as well; between the bedroom, day bed, and futon, up to five guests can comfortably share the space.
As the state capital of Idaho, Boise is a hub for commerce and government. It's full of historic sites where you can shop and dine in quaint, refurbished buildings from a by-gone era or study Boise's past at the Idaho State Historical Museum. Climb up to the top of Boise Depot Tower and get a bird's eye view of the city. Visit the trendy Linen District, just one of the historic neighborhoods where you can shop and find that perfect piece of art in one of its many galleries.
There are a number of beautiful places to walk in this so-called "City of Trees," from the Veterans Memorial to the Boise Greenbelt and its 25 miles of scenic paths. Head east, just outside the city, and you'll find plenty of hiking, biking, fishing, hiking, kayaking, and climbling. Golfers can hit the links at nearby Warm Springs Golf Course. Skiers: Bogus Basin is about 45 minutes from town.
Whether you choose to spend your time gallery-hopping, hiking, kayaking, or just come to the city on business, you'll feel right at home each night when you return to your cozy Boise vacation rental in the heart of town.
