The SpaceThe bedroom is bright and airy, the apartment is practically brand new (completely renovated in early 2016) and it's very clean and well maintained by your host, Geri, on a regular basis. The apartment is centrally located and near ALL convenient trains, buses, and public transportation. Go to NYC via LIRR, within easy walking distance (7-8 blocks) or take a bus (1 block away) to anywhere you want to go on Long Island. Guest AccessAccess to your room, shared bathroom, shared kitchen and shared living room. New windows, AC in bedrooms, new flooring, bedding, new kitchen stocked with kitchen utensils, pots and pans, and mostly everything you need to cook simple meals. Interaction with GuestsYou will have plenty of privacy. I live a few blocks away but I do check on my guests' comfort quite often via personal visits, emails, or phone calls. I am easily accessible via cell phone and email also. The NeighborhoodThere is a lot to do and see in Mineola. It is the heart of Nassau County with many attractions nearby. Eisenhower Park, Chaminade High School, Cradle of Aviation Museum, and Long Island Children's Museum are nearby. Almost every imaginable fast-food restaurant is located within a 2 mile radius. There are also TONS of other restaurants as well - Italian, Chinese, Thai, Mexican, Brazilian, Spanish, French, and more. Getting AroundThere is LOTS of public transportation. You are in the HUB of Long Island if you stay here. There are at least 20 buses within walking distance and they can take you all over Long Island and to Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan too. Take a walk down Mineola Blvd to the LIRR and you're in the city (Manhattan that is) in 40 minutes. Take a walk in other directions and you're at bus stop to go to mall or the beach. Other Things to NoteThis is my 7th listing on airbnb. Although this is a new listing, check out my other reviews and you will find that I am very attentive to my guests and their needs.     The SpaceIt's so convenient to everything in MINEOLA and the surrounding neighborhoods. The LIRR IS THR TRAIN THAT TAKES YOU TO MANHATTAN FOR SIGHTSEEING AND ITS ONLY A SHORT 8 BLOCK WALK TO THE STATION. Guest AccessYou'll have your own private room plus shared access to bathroom, kitchen, and sitting room Interaction with GuestsI follow my guests lead. I don't live in the apartment but I'm two miles away. If you need anything, I can usually provide it for you, but the apartment is well stocked. The NeighborhoodConvenience to all public transportation, near lots of restaurants and night life but on a relatively quiet block. Getting AroundThe train is 8 blocks away. The bus is on the corner.             The SpaceLOCATION: The Village of Garden City is an upscale, primarily residential area home to Long Island. Great atmosphere and so many great restaurants, bars and coffee shops. There are a lot of rich and famous people that call this neighborhood home. Great location for those who like to jog in a beautiful neighborhood; perfect for foodies, Natural Foods and Food For Thought are located on 7th Street. The NeighborhoodGarden City Village is a very affluent neighborhood in New York. The neighborhood is absolutely beautiful and the residents are super friendly. You can easily find homes which are well over 100 years old. Once you step foot into the Garden City, you won't want to leave. Getting AroundThe house is 5 minutes walk from the Long Island Rail Road station. You can reach Midtown Manhattan is about 35 minutes by train. Roosevelt Feild mall is one of the biggest malls in America. The mall is about 5 minutes drive from the house. Long Island is home to few of the best beaches in the world. Beaches such as Gilgo Beach and Fire Island Beach are 30 - 45 minutes drive away. Other Things to NoteOn the day of your arrival, I will text or message you the passcode to get inside the house. You will use this passcode everytime you enter the house. Please note, there is no key.
