At an elevation of 975 feet above sea level, Apple Haven boasts 360 degree views of rolling hills, orchards, and the Appalachian Trail. For over 10 years, guests from around the world have enjoyed the exquisite hospitality provided by the Borowsky family.
Upon your arrival we will show you your accommodations and allow you to settle in or visit nearby Gettysburg for dinner. Later in the evening, we welcome you to join us and enjoy a glass of our own wine (or juice, if you prefer). The serene location is perfect for stargazing!
A country breakfast is served in the morning and features our farm specialties such as cucumber mint smoothie, eggs laid by our hens, home made whole wheat bread, our signature French toast, jams from our most recent pick of organic fruit (including jostaberry and black currant), and more! We enjoy sharing the meal together with you, either in our kitchen breakfast area or, weather permitting, on the terrace and enjoying the phenomenal view.
Location: Located in South Central Pennsylvania, in the heart of the historic Adams County "Fruit Belt." 15 minutes from historic Gettysburg, 25 minutes from Harrisburg, 90 minutes from Baltimore or Washington D.C. , only 2 hours from Philadelphia and 3 hours from New York City.
Amenities: Guest suite features antique furniture (queen bed), private bath with jacuzzi, and use of our infrared sauna. Wireless internet is available throughout the house. Our sheep, chicken, and rabbits are very friendly - visitors are welcome to make acquaintance with them. During the warmer months, visitors are welcome to be part of farm/garden activities. Your friendly hosts are also multi-lingual; languages include English, German, French, Polish, Italian, Russian, and Spanish.

Guest AccessYour private guest room is located on the ground level. It has a private entrance (you can park right outside the door), a private bathroom, and includes a small dining area (with coffeemaker, microwave oven).
Breakfast is served in our main kitchen/dining area, which is up a few steps and through the living room.
Our own bedrooms are located a level up but on the other side of the house, thus although we tend to go to bed early and get up on the early side; you are welcome to come and go as you please. Interaction with GuestsWe love meeting and speaking with our guests. Charles is a social scientist and avid traveler, and very much enjoys meeting new friends. Cecylia, when not teaching at university, enjoys being present to host and meet our guests. We have a very peaceful dog (Max) and friendly cat (Min) and they will stay in the main area of the house (not your room!). We are in the heart of Pennsylvania's "fruit belt" and a short drive to historic Gettysburg, beautiful Amish Country, and bustling cities of Carlisle, York, and Harrisburg. We're 90 minutes to Baltimore, Washington DC, and Philadelphia. Getting AroundWe're located off of Route 15. Convenient by car but there is no public transit. Other Things to NoteOn Site: meet our farm animals, view the stars, practice your German or play a game of chess... We offer our own organic produce (and products) for sale.
