Guests, residents, and staff can interact at meals, yoga classes, or any other point during the day. Also if guests prefer to be alone, that can easily be managed. The NeighborhoodAnanda Laurelwood, is located in Western Washington County, Oregon, 25 miles from Portland. Nestled at the base of Bald Peak, along the Vineyard and Valley Scenic Tour Route, our 55 acre campus is blessed by fertile grounds, nourished by fresh rainwater and an artesian spring. Organic gardens and orchards dot the landscape, intermixed with mountain ranges, valley views, farmland, meadows and streams – a haven for outdoor recreation.
Opportunities abound for hiking, bird watching, boating, bicycling or just enjoying the great outdoors at the many natural areas, wildlife refuges, and parks nearby, including Chehalem Ridge, Tualatin Valley Wildlife Refuge, Fernhill Wetlands, and Henry Hagg Lake.
Within minutes of Laurelwood Valley, Forest Grove and McMinnville offer coffee shops, restaurants and all the variety belonging to small college towns.
Cannon Beach, Manzanita and Astoria dot the Oregon Coast, known for its wild beauty and underpopulated beaches. Expansion Hall: Most mapping or gps programs will direct you to our administration building on Laurelwood Road. Guest Check-In and the Green Hill Cafe are in Harmony Hall. From Expansion Hall, continue west to Academy Way (on left past the gymnasium), turn left on Academy Way (before the Seventh Day Adventist Church and LACE Center), follow the road up the hill to the large 3-story building with a green roof. Follow signs to Guest Parking and Registration in the foyer of Harmony Hall.

Fly into Portland International Airport. Ananda Center at Laurelwood is 36 miles from the Portland Airport, approximately an hour by car. Transportation options from the airport:
You can hire a taxi from the PDX Airport to bring you out to Laurelwood, or you can:
Take MAX (light rail) to the Beaverton Transit Center (BTC) and arrange for a taxi to pick you up there. The MAX Red Line terminates at the BTC and takes about an hour. Ananda Laurelwood is a half-hour drive from there. MAX costs $2.50. The station is located in the airport. It runs every 15 minutes from 4:44 am to 11:49 pm.
Car rentals are available at the airport.
Amtrak does arrive in downtown Portland and is served by MAX (light rail) as well. Other Things to NoteCheck-in time is between 3:30-6pm. Suggested seasonal arrival days are Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays.
Check in early and enjoy afternoon yoga 4:30-6pm (Mon, Wed & Fri) and dinner 6-7pm served in the Green Hill Cafe. (if not arriving on these days, please let us know if you are interested in afternoon yoga on your check-in day and we will do our best to accommodate you).
Check-out time is 11am, guests are invited to stay on campus through lunch on check-out day until 1:30pm. Extended or late check-out may be available for an additional charge.
Enter through the Green Hill Cafe and head upstairs to Guest Registration for Check-In.
