The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is awesome and super quiet. We are tucked away in a hidden little sweet spot in Glendale on the Milwaukee River. We are minutes away from Bayshore Mall which has a variety of shops, restaurants, and cafe's. They also have a water fountain for kids to play in.
We are very close to grocery store (Pick-n-Save) which you can drive, walk or ride a bike to. Where grocery store is there are a couple restaurants including a yummy sushi we love to go to and do Hibachi with our kids. Stone Creek coffee and just a few doors down who are local roasters and have delicious coffee and bakery. I like to bike there occasionally with my kids or just myself.
We are 15 minutes from beautiful downtown with lots to do:
Veterans park which is located on the lake. The park includes a large, popular sand beach (Bradford) with volley ball, food and a tiki bar. The park also includes several trails for running, walking or biking, a yacht club with boat/jet ski rentals. A kite rental area, Segway rentals, a playground and a lagoon where you can rent water bikes, kayaks etc. In the summer they also feature a fish fry and a large outdoor movie.
