The SpaceYou can rent one room ($105) or 2 ($190) or the whole house (sometimes). (This listing is for 2 rooms, there is another listing for one room, and another for the whole house.) Very casual, healthy environment. In general I live here, but I am ok renting to you when I'm not home. I am flexible, we can talk about what suits you. Guest AccessKitchen, nice bathrooms with tub and/ or showers. Beautiful yard and deck with lounge furniture, living room and whole house open to guests. There is a garage work space for safe storage or repairs on equipment. I have a friendly, playful but well behaved dog that everyone loves. Interaction with GuestsI offer a self-serve style of making meals, open use of the kitchen, and/or we can make meals together. I enjoy getting to know my guests, but they can keep to themselves if they desire. I know the area well and can give good information on places to go and things to do. I am pretty busy often, so can't guarantee I'll be around. Guests can use the living room and TV for movies, the deck and yard for hanging out and enjoying the view and quiet. There's a garage work space for projects like ski waxing or bike repairs, if needed. The NeighborhoodThis is a quiet, safe neighborhood but has easy access to I-70, as well as to the White River Nat'l Forest and hiking trails, the Glenwood Canyon Bike path, rafting and fishing on the Colorado RIver within 1/4 mile. Beaver Creek and Aspen Ski areas are both less than one hour's drive away. Sunlight is about 30 minutes. The town, including the hot springs pool, are less than two miles away and accessible by bike path or highway. Getting AroundTrain (AMtrak) and buses are available in Glenwood, approximately 2 miles away via bike path along the river or I-70. There is taxi service from town to my house. The SpaceCome stay in the GableSuite. This charming suite encompasses all the nooks and crannies of the second floor of the Best Kept Secret B & B (Bed and Bath). We are located right downtown in a beautiful historic home that was built in 1915. This unique accommodation includes a small bedroom (yes, under the gables overlooking the front garden) with a queen bed. There is also an ample living room with a comfortable queen sleeper couch and built in desk area with free wi-fi. The bathroom has a shower, tiled floors and sink with a travertine counter top and lots of storage. The kitchenette includes a bar sink, a single induction burner for cooking, along with a coffee pot, crockpot, toaster, toaster oven and microwave. There is an apartment size refrigerator (with separate freezer compartment) and a nice butcher block kitchen table that seats four to six people. Enjoy a sunny start to your day as you enjoy breakfast under the skylight or watch the moon pass overhead as you stay up late playing cards or cribbage! The possibilities are endless. Off the kitchenette is a twin bed - yes, under the gables! Next to the kitchenette is a small den with a TV and double recliner love seat. The den leads to the upper porch with a full-sized couch and small eating table with two chairs and an umbrella (except in winter). From the porch you can look down on the labyrinth and back gardens and enjoy a 360 degree view, looking at Red Mountain, Iron Mountain and Lookout Mountain. Your private entrance to the GableSuite is up the back spiral staircase. There is a single roll-away bed and pack-n-play; if needed. The back porch has a gate on the top of the stairwell as an added safety feature. Come stay in the GableSuite and we will greet you on the first floor and escort you up the inside stairs with your luggage and other items. You will then be asked to use only the outside spiral staircase for the duration of your stay. On your departure everything you brought can again be taken out, with ease, through the first floor. The minimum stay in the GableSuite is three nights during the peak season (May through October) and two nights during the quiet season (November through April). Other extras include the use of two cruiser bicycles, outdoor hot tub and labyrinth. Discounts are available for the Hot Springs Pool/Athletic Club and Yampah Vapor Caves. The GableSuite comfortably sleeps a family of four or five, (with the rollaway six people). All linens and towels are included. Guest AccessGuests can bring their luggage and other items in through the house and then will have their own private entrance up the spiral staircase for the duration of their stay. Upon leaving, you may exit through the house for ease of carrying your luggage and other items. The Sunlight shuttle will pick up at the front door and bring you back at the end of the day. We offer bag lunches for your day trips. Other Things to NoteWe don't care what you are smoking. The house is spacious and clean, fireplaces upstairs and down, large outdoor deck with incredible views of the canyon, great access to outdoor recreation. The yard, deck, living room, work space for bike repairs/storage or ski waxing are all open to guests. There is ample parking space. Lots of books and some games around. Just ask. The NeighborhoodI love being close to the Colorado River and the views of the canyon, as well as being able to walk up No Name Creek and into National Forest. It's a close knit, friendly, safe neighborhood, which feels very removed from the town and highway, yet both are very close and convenient to get to. I also love being able to see the stars at night. Getting AroundIt's a 2 mile walk, bike, or drive to get to or from public transit (in Glenwood Spgs). Train and bus services are available there. There are: a taxi service, rental cars, rental bikes there, also. I have ample parking. For guests arriving without a car, I can often pick you up at the train station, or even at Eagle-Vail Airport.     The SpaceVery comfortable, with Modern appliances designed 'modern rustic style' come relax at our perfect location. We are located on the top of a hill on 8th st in Glenwood Spgs. with a spectacular view of the confluence of the Colorado and Roaring fork rivers and beautifull downtown area. KING OF THE HILL HOUSE' is a two bedroom, one bathroom house with Hardwood floors throughout, with marble shower and slate floor in bath. Glass front wood stove in living room provides a romantic atmosphere in the winter months. Very private with fenced back yard for the pets. Covered parking is available on north side. It is very quiet with sounds of birds chirping and nature in you back door. You can walk to anything including the pool and adventure park within 5 or 10 min. you could always 'stay in' and use our jacuzzi tub with privacy cabana. We are right across the street from the 'boy scout trail' a great and popular hiking and biking trail that has a little for the extreme mountain biker as well as the novice hiker just walking the dog. (great place to let your dog run w/ no vehicle danger. Outdoor fire pit and stainless steel gas barbeque on back porch. outdoor dining table w/chairs and an umbrella shade. (very nice to relax out here and swing on the lounge chair. Evaporitive cooler in back bedroom keeps house very cool in summer, and a small air conditioner in the master if needed. Glass front wood stove keeps it toasty in the winter. If no fire is desired the thermostat controlled furnace will also keep you warm as desired. kitchen is newly remodeled with hardwood floors, two sinks and all new stainless kitchen aid appliances. Bathroom is newly remodeled w/ marble shower and slate floors. Back bedroom has FULL size bunkbeds to accomodate more guests. (kids love bunkbeds!) it also has a stacked washer and dryer. And a Desk with some office supplies. Unit has a working fire pit on back patio so you can have a 'campire' experience or sit around while barbequeing. World famous hot springs pool, Yampah vapor caves & massage, Aspen, Snowmass, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk, ski sunlight, Vail, beaver creek ski areas, roaring fork and Colorado rivers are 'gold metal waters' for fishing. Glenwood was voted '#1 Fishing town in the USA by field and stream magazine! also enjoy the new world class kayaking and riversurfing wave park built 5 min west of Glenwood in the famous Colorado river. The house itself lends itself to comfort and has a "laid back" vibe. The house is ideal for a family of 4 or two couples traveling together. Kitchen, laundry, comfy beds and even food in the cabinets and fridge. There is an "honor" basket on the counter; take what food or drink you want and leave what you think it's worth in the basket! The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is very quiet. Even though it is close to town; it is a quiet street. The neighbors are very friendly and everyone waves and says hello. Getting AroundYou are close to everything downtown so you can walk everywhere BUT if you want to venture further, we do have public transportation where you can ride the bus in Gws for $1. If you want to go to Aspen or other towns "up valley" it costs $6. The simple life. The house is a six minute walk to the hot mineral pool. Two blocks from the center of town, where all the restaurants and shops are.       Great location. Quiet and private new condo has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Everything is clean and nice. The Mt. Sopris condo is located on a quiet street with great mountain/hill views from the complex. This condo is close to shopping, sightseeing, restaurants, museums, trails and outside activities. Just minutes away from downtown of Glenwood Springs, and famous hot mineral springs pool. The CONDO has 2 private bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with all the amenities. A large living room has a gas fireplace and a leather furniture set.. The condo has a quiet private shaded patio that is great for grilling in summer time. We are close to all major ski resorts such as Sunlight (right in Glenwood Springs), Aspen/Snowmass, Vail, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Loveland, and Arapahoe Basin. Enjoy beautiful mountain scenic drives or swimming in hot mineral springs located just 2 miles away in Glenwood Springs. There is a park with a great playground for kids just a mile away.       Nestled into 1.3 acres of natural vegetation overlooking Glenwood Springs, Henrie House is a perfect blend of privacy & convenience, just 5 minutes from downtown Glenwood Springs and all its amenities and attractions. Amazing views and plenty of wildlife viewing, and a hot tub under the trees. Perched on a hill overlooking the valley, this property offers the full Colorado experience. For winter guests, we recommend your vehicle is well-equipped for snowy and winter road conditions. There are two bedrooms with queen beds and a queen-size leather sofa sleeper in the living room. An enclosed sunroom off the master bedroom gives the feeling of stepping out of bed and into nature and offers a peaceful place for reading, working or hobbies. An open floor plan in the living, dining and kitchen areas allows the group to stay connected and floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors bring in tons of light and views of nature from all living areas in the house. We are 1/4 mile from a beautiful 9-hole golf course that affords a great round or two, or an awesome morning walk. Our 1.3 acres property is private, with tons of parking, we back up to wilderness, closest neighbors hidden by the trees. We are kid and pet friendly, but gotta charge a bit more for the pets ($50 flat fee). Speaking of fees, make sure to look for special Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years rates, as well as a deep discount for month-long stays from September thru May. The local lodging tax rate is 11.1%. Turn your visit into a wellness retreat with yoga, personal training and meal planning on-site. Just ask. Guests have the entire house, BBQ area, hot tub & sauna to themselves during the duration of their stay. It is sometimes necessary to conduct periodic and minimal exterior maintenance during a guest's stay (landscaping for example). A caretaker is present on-site, in an apartment above the detached garage with a completely separate entrance from the house. The caretakers are there if you need them, and out of sight if you don't need them. All maintenance including snow removal is done by the on-site caretaker.         Come stay in the GableSuite. This charming suite encompasses all the nooks and crannies of the second floor of the Best Kept Secret B & B (Bed and Bath). We are located right downtown in a beautiful historic home that was built in 1915. This unique accommodation includes a small bedroom (yes, under the gables overlooking the front garden) with a queen bed. There is also an ample living room with a comfortable queen sleeper couch and built in desk area with free wi-fi. The bathroom has a shower, tiled floors and sink with a travertine counter top and lots of storage. The kitchenette includes a bar sink, a single induction burner for cooking, along with a coffee pot, crockpot, toaster, toaster oven and microwave. There is an apartment size refrigerator (with separate freezer compartment) and a nice butcher block kitchen table that seats four to six people. Enjoy a sunny start to your day as you enjoy breakfast under the skylight or watch the moon pass overhead as you stay up late playing cards or cribbage! The possibilities are endless. Off the kitchenette is a twin bed - yes, under the gables! Next to the kitchenette is a small den with a TV and double recliner love seat. The den leads to the upper porch with a full-sized couch and small eating table with two chairs and an umbrella (except in winter). From the porch you can look down on the labyrinth and back gardens and enjoy a 360 degree view, looking at Red Mountain, Iron Mountain and Lookout Mountain. Your private entrance to the GableSuite is up the back spiral staircase. There is a single roll-away bed and pack-n-play; if needed. The back porch has a gate on the top of the stairwell as an added safety feature. Come stay in the GableSuite and we will greet you on the first floor and escort you up the inside stairs with your luggage and other items. You will then be asked to use only the outside spiral staircase for the duration of your stay. On your departure everything you brought can again be taken out, with ease, through the first floor. The minimum stay in the GableSuite is three nights during the peak season (May through October) and two nights during the quiet season (November through April). Other extras include the use of two cruiser bicycles, outdoor hot tub and labyrinth. Discounts are available for the Hot Springs Pool/Athletic Club and Yampah Vapor Caves. The GableSuite comfortably sleeps a family of four or five, (with the rollaway six people). All linens and towels are included.
