The SpaceEagle Ridge Retreat is located just 60 miles from Seattle. You'll feel a world away when staying at this stunning cottage. Enjoy relaxing on the private patio on this peaceful 1/2 acre property and take in the incredible view of the Skykomish River while bald eagles soar above. One could spend their entire stay just enjoying the view and outdoor amenities: hot tub with an unbeatable mountain and river view, steel elevated fire pit, charcoal grill, plenty of patio seating, a retractable awning in summer that provides shade (or protection from rain drops) with the push of a button, and two places within walking distance to access the river. Natural elements such as the impressive stone hearth, granite counter tops, wood finished floors, and slate and wood tables combine perfectly with the contemporary style of the luxurious furnishings like the magnificent four poster bed, plush seating and 47 flat screen TV. The master suite has its own flat screen, electric fireplace, and an infrared sauna! The three bedroom, 2 bath home is cozy enough for a couple's romantic getaway, or a reunion of up to 6 family members/friends. The fully equipped kitchen has a dining area for 4 and is open to the living area which looks out toward the river. If you can bring yourself to leave this serene haven, you'll find all the amazing recreation that the Cascade Mountains has to offer - hiking, rafting, and all the snow sports, just moments away! Thank you for the feedback & continual reviews of this amazing cottage from people that were blown away to the attention to detail that I provide for my guests. In July, unfortunately I had to cancel an instant book as I was working with another guest booking the same timeline. I have decided to opt out of instant book this won't happen again. Thank you. Comment to Elle's review Nov 2016. I received a text that a Kindle was left in a sofa. I responded immediately that I would drive to the cabin the next day which is an hour away and pick up the Kindle & pop it in the mail. The Kindle was not found in the cushions, looked under the sofas, dressers, etc. Sent Elle a message & told her I would continue to look. On Thanksgiving morning my daughter & I scoured the livingroom. The Kindle fell behind the plush rug flat and could not be seen until the sofa was pulled from the wall. I sent Elle 2 messages about the good news. I'm disappointed that my efforts were not received for reasons unknown. Elle has my contact # and not once called me. After a guest checks out its more challenging to connect. I did so 4 times. Clearly my guest did not receive my responses. I will follow up with Airbnb. Guest AccessGuests enter into Green Water Meadows...a private development! Quiet, peaceful and very secluded.. Guests can access both ends of 433rd Ave SE to get to the calm waters of the river to fly fish. Horseback riding is 1.5 miles west and hiking at Wallace Falls is 4 mi. west. Leavenworth is a great day trip for lunch and shopping only 70 mi east on hwy 2. Coming back to Eagle Ridge Retreat for an evening BBQ, roasting marshmallows over a fire and soaking in the hot tub...great way to complete the evening under a sky full of the most INCREDIBLE bright stars you've ever seen! Memorable experience!!! Interaction with GuestsAs your host, I will make sure everything is set up for a warm and inviting arrival. I will entertain special requests for special occasions within your budget prior to arrival if needed. Otherwise, your privacy is most important to me during your stay. I'm always available a phone call away for any reason! The NeighborhoodThis neighborhood is truly my peaceful haven, my getaway! I'm always so full of energy and my spirit renewed when I leave to go back to the city. I feel so honored & privileged to open up this beautiful getaway to guests like YOU to experience the same feeling! ENJOY!!! The SpacePrivate, spacious, airy apartment with a cozy bedroom, nice full bathroom and a convenient kitchenette. You can see mountains, forest and big lawn from large windows. The bedroom and bathroom are four steps higher then the living room and kitchenette. The Retreat sits in a beautiful countryside and is surrounded with forest and views of the Cascade Mountains. Lots of wildlife, and beaver is the king of the wetlands at dusk and night time. There is a lot to explore and do (hiking, skiing, sledding, snowshoeing, mountain biking, kayaking, fishing, rafting, tubing, river snorkeling with salmon and local attractions), or take it easy, relax and rejuvenate. Our mission is to make our guests feel comfortable, at ease and at home and to promote healthy, balanced and harmonious living. We hope you will have a relaxing and peaceful stay, as well as a memorable and healing experience. Well-behaved potty-trained canine companions are welcome. We like to make people feel at home and comfortable, and can help with some advise where and what to do for fun around this area. The NeighborhoodOur place is in the beautiful countryside with mountains on both sides of Sky Valley. We live next to Pacific Northwest temperate rain forest, 1 mile from Skykomish river and 5 miles from Wallace Falls State Park. Getting AroundThere is a bus system that runs on Hwy 2 and a rental car station is not far. A rental or your own can would be faster to get around. Other Things to NoteTreat yourself and your two- or four-legged family members to an active and/or relaxing getaway. Nature and wild life all around. Peaceful rural setting. Skykomish river is a mile away. There is hiking, skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, fishing, rafting, tubing and local attractions. Or there is always Seattle close by for a different kind of fun. We love nature and animals and are pro-green and eco-friendly. If you have a well-behaved potty-trained canine companion, please bring it with you. There are many trails and parks for you to explore and Sky river to splash in the summer. There is a wetland at the bottom of the hill we live on with many native animals and birds.

The SpaceThe cabin meets every expectation of a mountain cabin. Whether it is the hand made river rock chimney or cedar walls and ceilings, it is rustic and cozy. The hand made queen bunks are unique. A morning coffee or sunset campfire on the river make it ideal to relax and get away. Guest AccessWhen you rent the home, it is yours for your time to relax. However, it is our weekend home as well, so there will be personal items about. We do our best to keep things tidy and out of the way, but you'll run into items as you go through the day. Please respect them as you would any of your family members. Interaction with GuestsWe are local owners, so we are always nearby. While the arrival and departure times are flexible, we do our best to meet each guest in person in order to show them around and answer any questions. As a part of that, we will ask for a time window for your planned arrival, and then be in contact as schedules change at the last minute. Departure is also flexible depending on the day of the week, your activities on the last day, and travel times back toward Seattle. The NeighborhoodBig Bend is a mix of vacation properties and full time residents. It is a private community. The neighborhood beach is great for picnics and time in the water. Getting AroundThe home is at the very last border of developed towns and the Cascades wilderness. As such, the only viable transportation is your own vehicle. There is limited bus service along Highway 2, and you will frequently see hitchhikers, but neither is a reliable option for daily needs. No street parking is allowed in the neighborhood. The property has ample space for multiple vehicles as needed, and there is access to other parking immediately nearby. In addition, guest parking (with permits we will provide) is available on lots in three locations in the neighborhood.

The SpaceThe cozy cabin boasts most of the amenities of home while still being off-the-grid and remote. Lights are powered by solar panels, heat is provided by a lovely, side-load wood stove and (seasonally) there is plenty of wood in the wood shed. The hot water, mini refrigerator, and 2-burner stove top are powered by propane. Sleeping: 1 full sized bed, 1 extremely comfy (no really, it's incredible) full-sized futon and there is a large lake-front tent pad that easily fits a 4-person tent. The property also has 2 row boats which are yours to use. This is a very quiet space. Guests often remark that the, "silence is deafening" - and it's one of the things that makes the cabin so great. Surrounding the property is an abundance of wildlife, especially both resident and migratory birds. The lake is stocked with bass and trout and there are 2 fishing poles in the cabin. Please bring your own bait. The lake is catch and release only. The cabin is 10 miles from the Skykomish River for boating and tubing in the summer and fly-fishing year-round (salmon run in the fall!) In the immediate area there is hiking and mushroom foraging and in your backyard there is (charcoal) grilling, a fire pit, fishing, swimming and boating! PLEASE NOTE: There is no cell reception or powered electrical outlets at this cabin. The nearest LTE/4G phone signal is about 4-5 min down the dirt road. Some guests have spotty service but most just turn of their phones and unplug. Guest AccessThe entire cabin is yours to use, including upper and lower decks, stone patio, fire pit, tent pad, dock and rowboats. There is a community park on the opposite end of the lake with children's playground equipment, a bigger fire pit and a somewhat rickety floating dock with diving boards and a slide. Hiking is permitted (and encouraged!) on the gated roads nearby. Interaction with GuestsWe (or our property manager) can be there to check you in and show you around if you'd like, otherwise we'll provide directions for self check-in at your leisure. We recommend arriving before dark. From there you'll be left to the peace and quiet of Cedar Ponds Lake. Check out is at 11 AM - this is strict. The NeighborhoodThis is a very quiet, off-grid community. There are about 15 other houses on the lake and only 4 of them are full-time residents. We've noted it elsewhere but sounds really travels out here. It's for this reason that we ask you not to bring any noise - making machines (speakers, radios, etc...) but if you do, please keep the volume way down. If you happen to meet any of the neighbors, just let them know you're guests at the Birdhouse. Getting AroundYou will need a car to get to the cabin. The final dirt road is accessible for all vehicles but please note, the potholes can get pretty bad in the winter so drive slowly (d like to use the fire pit. The wood in the woodshed is green and will not burn. There is plenty of forest debris to burn as well if you walk around the property Other Things to NoteThis property has no cell or internet service and no electricity - we like it that way. It really provides an unplugged, relaxing, restorative atmosphere. This is a tranquil property not suited for the "party crowd." The house is heated by a wood stove and has a 2 burner stove top for cooking. There is no oven. There is a small, propane powered refrigerator and a large cooler on the back deck for any overflow. There is a (charcoal) grill and utensils for grilling on the back deck. There are fresh linens and towels, soaps and shampoo +conditioner. The kitchenette has everything you'll need: pots and pans, spices, a percolator for coffee, a kettle for hot water and a 10-gallon purified water dispenser with extra bottles. We provide candles, headlamps and flashlights in case the solar battery runs down (please do not accidentally leave lights on!!). Due to the remote and rustic nature of this cabin, this may not the best place for infants and young children. Feel free to contact us with questions to make sure this is the right getaway for your group. We are not opposed to a dog coming with you but ask that you clean up both inside and out after them. Lastly, this truly is a rustic cabin in the woods, subject to both nature's wrath and glory. Heavy rains, wind, muddy conditions, and the occasional frozen pipes are a reality. While we can't control forces of nature, we will always do what we can to make sure your stay is enjoyable.

The Space'Tiny' is located on a peaceful 4 acre farm surrounded by lush green Pacific Northwest forest and is extremely private. She ('Tiny') is close to Steven's Pass and the Cascade Loop, making it an ideal place to come if you like to enjoy the outdoors. Tiny is positioned so that a main window looks out on the Cascade Mountains for a great view! Tiny house draws people in with her cozy atmosphere, conducive to relaxation and feeling like you've really gotten away. Do you like to stargaze? Tiny has two skylights, one right above the sleeping area, where you can watch the night sky from the warmth and comfort of the comfy queen-sized mattress in sleeping loft. The mattress is topped with a blissfully delightful gel memory foam pad that you won't want to leave. A custom double-layer cover has been sewn for the skylight for those who don't want to be woken up by light in the morning. Have you ever wrapped yourself up in an indoor hammock? Tiny's quirky insides are full of surprises, including a hammock you can choose to string up across the main room. Her style is unique, eclectic, fun, and whimsical. The builder is a local artist who wanted to blend together a barn/farm/rustic feel with Moroccan lounge, with bits of industrial Victorian fanciness, and a touch of nautical (mostly in the bathroom). There is so much beautiful natural light in tiny, which is easy to fall in love with at this latitude. The main room is an excellent spot for painting and making art since it has natural light from windows on most sides. With the exception of the kitchen windows tucked in a corner, all windows have had custom covers made for them so that you can have your privacy when you want it. Tiny was built with the intention of being a fully-functional full-time residence and includes everything you will need! Although it is a tiny house, all the comforts of a traditional home have not been compromised! This includes a fully functional kitchen and bathroom, tons of storage space, and a large closet. An efficient ceramic wall heater is attached as part of Tiny's heating system. In colder times when that doesn't give off sufficient warmth, a powerful space heater has been provided to ensure the utmost comfort of our guests. Tiny house is comfortable and insulated very well with sheep wool from Oregon, so tends to stay easily warm in winter and cooler in the summer. All the windows are double-paned, argon-filled, tempered glass that are much more insulating than average house windows, but still generously let light stream into the space. Tiny house feels larger than you might expect, and much research of the psychology of space was taken into account in her design. This includes her dark floors (that make the floor appear to recede), light walls (to reflect light), high ceiling in the main room (helping make it feel airy), windows at every turn (that appears to extend your living space outside), and lots and lots of mirrors (to reflect light). There is a horse, a donkey, two dogs, and an adorable mini pig that roam the property. In the main house there are also two cats and a parrot. The property is 420 friendly, but the tiny house is not. Guest AccessGuests will have full access to everything located inside of the Tiny House. Guests will also have access to the fire pit and the friendly horse and donkey. There is free parking and free Wi-Fi available. For an extra fee, guests can have access to the main house hot tub, must be prearranged. Interaction with GuestsThe hostess, Tracy, will be there to greet you upon your arrival. The hostess will be available as much or as little as you need. Always available via text. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is extremely private and very quiet. At night, if the sky is clear, the stars are amazing!!! Getting AroundA car is needed to get around.
