The SpaceWe have three double bedrooms available so can accommodate six people. One is in a separate annex and it has it's own en-suite shower and toilet Air BnB doesn't seem to allow you to link rooms on the pricing so if more than two are staying please ask and we will send you an offer. The room is spacious and light with a comfy double bed. The bathroom is also spacious with a stand alone shower and is right next to the room. We have our own bathroom so no queuing hopefully :) The property is on a farm in the countryside, so expect peace and quiet. Almost no light pollution - so some beautiful starry nights when clear. Plenty of safe parking. There are also patios to sit out on ans see the far reaching views. Llandeilo is a beautiful town with many restaurants, pubs, independent shops and places of interest. Jacki is a working artist. She also teaches art so if you fancy an arty day or weekend or your visit coincides with one of her classes you are invited to join in. Extra charges apply. She is a painter, and a sculptor in clay, (URL HIDDEN) We have another double bedroom but additional charges for the extra room will apply. We also have another annex with a double bed if you all want your own space. We are in the countryside, not in a village. A car is recommended although there is a bus stop about 1/2 mile away with buses that run from Swansea to Llandeilo. There is also Llandybie train station a few miles away. We can usually pick/drop people by prior arrangement. Guest AccessHouse, Garden. Interaction with GuestsAs much as you like, It is our home but it's spacious. We only have a TV in the lounge. Jacki does art lessons and can do a private lesson with you. If you come on a day when a group lesson is happening you will usually be welcome to join in. The cottage has it's own patio and parking area and guests can use the large communal gardens which are behind the games room. As well as a large lawned area with picnic table there is also a large orchard which is bordered by ancient oak trees. There are paths mown through the orchard but areas are left to encourage wild flowers to grow and to provide protection for the local wildlife. Deer are frequently seen in the orchard at dusk. There is a games room, in a converted stone threshing barn, which is always available for guests to use. It has something for everyone, table tennis, snooker, toys and a wide selection of books. Interaction with GuestsI live in a house on the site and I am here to greet guests on their arrival and show them around. If you need to know anything about the area I can point you in the right direction. The NeighborhoodThe cottage is easily reached from the M4 or the A40. Set in an idyllic rural location in the Towy valley it is just 2 miles from the quirky town of Llandeilo with its shops, cafes and art galleries. It's a great location for exploring South and West Wales. The Brecon Beacons National Park begins just 2 miles away. The National Botanic Garden of Wales & Aberglasney Gardens are just minutes away. Getting AroundThe Heart of Wales Railway is only 2 miles away but it is best to have your own transport, be it car, motor bike or bicycle as public transport is sparse in this part of Wales. There is private parking for 2 cars outside the cottage.

Carreg Cennen cottage is named after the spectacular Carreg Cennen castle in the Brecon Beacons that is only 5 miles away. The cottage is one of three cottages, that have been converted from the original stone outbuildings of a 19th century farm, and are set around a courtyard next to an orchard where our guests can barbeque in the summer, pick fruit in the autumn or simply watch the deer grazing at dusk. Guests can enjoy themselves fishing for sewin (sea trout) on the renowned Towy river, bird watching (the red kite can often be seen hovering over Dinefwr Castle) and walking. This meanders from Swansea to Llandeilo and up through mid Wales to Shrewsbury. It's a lovely way to see the spectacular scenery of mid-Wales.

I'm always ready to chat to guests but understand that some guests prefer their privacy and don't want to see the landlady. The NeighborhoodIt's a very beautiful peaceful area. Surrounded by fields with large mature oaks it is very quiet, but just 2 miles away is the small town of Llandeilo with its quirky shops and cafes. As the road links to the rest of Wales are excellent this is a perfect base for exploring the attractions of South and West Wales. Getting AroundIt's best to have a car. However, the Heart of Wales railway (Swansea to Shrewsbury) is only 2 miles away. This railway goes through spectacular scenery and a trip on it makes a wonderful day out. There are also buses available. Other Things to NoteThe cottage is close to the Brecon Beacons. Aberglasney Gardens and the National Botanic Garden of Wales close by.

The SpaceYou are very welcome to come and stay in our converted former cartshed on our smallholding near Golden Grove. The cartshed is fully self-contained and has its own walled patio area. It is very quiet here, with most noise coming from the sheep and the chickens. Guest AccessYou'll have your own key so can come and go as you please. Interaction with GuestsWe are on site so generally available if you have any queries. The NeighborhoodThis is a beautiful part of rural Carmarthenshire, with views from the patio towards Carreg Cennen castle and the Brecon Beacons. We are within easy driving distance of most of the attractions in South West Wales. Getting AroundWe are out in the countryside with no public transport nearby so you will need your own transport. Other Things to NoteUnfortunately at the moment, due to some recent bad experiences, we are not taking bookings from people without a profile and some reviews or from people who want to bring pets. The cartshed will normally be available by 3.00pm on the day of your arrival (this gives us time to prepare for you after our previous guests.) Departure is normally by 10 am although both these times are flexible if there is no booking before or after you.

    Golden Grove Cottages are family owned self-catering holiday cottages. Nestled on the edge of the renowned Towy Valley in Carmarthenshire and set in stunning countryside minutes from the vibrant market town of Llandeilo, our beautiful converted stone barns and breath-taking views make the perfect escape. Part of the former Cawdor Estate, our three traditional stone holiday cottages are beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable. These three beautiful converted barns enjoy an idyllic and peaceful location on a hillside with stunning views over the valley and beyond. Barcud (Welsh for Red Kite) cottage is very spacious, with two large en-suite twin or double bedrooms. The Ground Floor entrance is into the light and airy Kitchen/Breakfast Room with views over the valley. The Kitchen is fitted with a range of oak units with a granite work top; it also has an electric oven with a ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment and microwave oven. The dining area has a dining table with 4 chairs. The washing and tumble dryer machines are in the Laundry Room. The Sitting Room is L shaped and has an attractive arched window and exposed stone walls. It is furnished with a corner sofa unit and a comfy chair, coffee table and a 37� wall mounted plasma TV with DVD / CD player. It also has an IPod docking station and Wi-Fi. There are two en-suite bedrooms, both have 3' zip'n'link bed which when zipped make a 6' super king size bed. Bedroom 1 is downstairs and has a super king size bed (please indicate if required as two singles), bedside tables, wardrobe, dressing chair and an en-suite bathroom comprising a white suite of bath with shower over, WC, heated towel rail and wash hand basin. FIRST FLOOR: Bedroom 2 is approached by a flight of carpeted stairs from the sitting room and leads to a gallery area which in turn leads to the bedroom. It is furnished with 2 single beds (please indicate if the super king size is required), bedside tables, dressing chair and wardrobe. There is an en-suite shower room with shower cubicle, WC, heated towel rail and wash hand basin. GARDEN & PARKING: The grounds are open plan with attractive planting and lawned areas, not fenced off. Each cottage has its own private patio to the fore of the cottage furnished with a sturdy picnic bench and a barbecue. There is ample parking space for two cars. OTHER INFORMATION There is oil fired central heating throughout; this is included in the rental all year round. Electricity, bedding and towels are also included. A travel cot, highchair and stair gate are also available on request. One well behaved pet is welcome at a small additional fee of £25. Barcud and Gwennol Cottages have an interconnecting door enabling larger groups to book both properties together, there is excellent soundproofing for times when the cottage are separate. There is superb fishing in the area with the River Towy providing excellent Salmon and Sewin (sea trout) fishing just 5 minutes drive for the cottages. The famous National Botancial Gardens of Wales and Aberglasney Gardens are a short drive away (5-10 minutes) as too are two further castles and Paxtons Tower from which you can see the Towy Valley in all its ancient glory. In under half an you can be in the Brecon Beacons National Park and enjoy the splendour and challenge of the Black Mountain and Llyn y Fan Fach, both firm favourites with our guests.

Walking, fishing and bird-watching are favorites with nature lovers. Aberglasney Gardens and the National Botanic Garden of Wales with the great glasshouse delight young and old alike.                 The SpaceRural home in the beautiful Welsh Countryside. Good access to M4 10 mins to J49 / Cross Hands / Llandeilo. This is a private room in an annex connected to the main house. It is a smaller room than the other two but has a nice comfy double bed. It also has it's own en-suite bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. It has a door that opens onto the patio and another that reaches the house via a corridor. Lovely views over the Welsh Countryside. You will have access to Kitchen fot teas and coffee etc, and you are welcome to join us in the lounge. Feel free to wonder around the patio area and use the patio tables etc. Although less spacious, this is much more private than our other two rooms. We have three double bedrooms available in total, so can accommodate six people. This one is in a separate annex and it has it's own en-suite shower and toilet Air BnB doesn't seem to allow you to link rooms on the pricing so if more than two are staying please ask and we will send you an offer. The property is on a farm in the countryside, so expect peace and quiet. Almost no light pollution - so some beautiful starry nights when clear. Plenty of safe parking. There are also patios to sit out on and admire the far reaching views. Llandeilo is a beautiful town with many restaurants, pubs, independent shops and places of interest. Jacki is a working artist. She also teaches art so if you fancy an arty day or weekend or your visit coincides with one of her classes you are invited to join in. Extra charges apply. Carmarthenshire is known as the Garden of Wales and the National Botanic Garden of Wales and Aberglasney (a garden lost in time) are just over 2 miles away.There is superb fishing in the area too with the river Towy providing excellent Salmon and Sewin (sea trout) fishing, whilst for those more active the cottages are located between several excellent mountain bike trails. For nature lovers, the area abounds in wildlife, with red kites, owls, badgers and deer regularly seen from the barns.The Gower Peninsula has some wonderful beaches with great surfing, including Three Cliffs Bay which is less than 25 miles away.The Black Mountain and Brecon Beacons National Park (which is viewable from the gardens) make an excellent day trip. Golden Grove village is about 1 mile from the cottages and Llandeilo, the ancient market town, is about three miles.
