This 100 year old classic Greek-revival Mansion is NOT a B&B, but a rare opportunity to enjoy a little Texas history and charm.
Our fully furnished 5,000 square foot mansion has 5 bedrooms & 3 1/2 bathrooms. Four of the rooms are located upstairs and the fifth room is downstairs. Three of our bedrooms offer private access to adjacent bathrooms and all of our suites have a flat screen TV, sitting area, Wi-Fi and 12 foot ceilings with a historical feel unlike any of the other modern venues. The house is covered in its original hardwood floors.
In the downstairs of the home, which we refer to as our 'museum' section has several 100 year old antiques, a chandelier and even a piano for our musically talented guests and their entertainment. Our family room has leather furniture with a 'oil mans' historical motif look that sets directly off the 500 square foot covered patio overlooking the sparkling POOL and HOT TUB.
Other amenities include a fully stocked kitchen, dinning room, living room, two sets of washer/dryer (upstairs & downstairs) and an over-sized private yard. Our kitchen has ample flatware and cooking utensils for 20 people and a second refrigerator for those extra beverages. If you are preparing to cook a holiday dinner or host a large group, there is a double oven and formal dining room that comfortably seats 12 people.
This beautiful home sits on an acre of meticulously manicured lawn, which is canopied by 100 year old oak trees.

HERE'S A LITTLE HISTORY OF OUR HOME:
This beautiful Mansion was built and designed in 1910 by Gonzales entrepreneur, O.B. Robertson. He was an attorney before taking up banking as well as involved in farming and lumber. Robertson's most known endeavor was building a brink company on the banks of the Guadalupe River in Gonzales, first called the Sunset Brick Company, later called 'Gonzales Brick'. You will find most of the building on Gonzales Square of this brick.
This breathtaking jewel is located on a beautifully manicured acre of natural beauty on the edge of the official Texas historical museum district. The elegant entrance opens onto one of the most historic residential avenues in the state of Texas – the avenue of ancient oaks where Sam Houston, his troops, and the population of Gonzales heroically marched to Texas victory and independence in 1836.
Gonzales, the home of “Come and Take It” the battle cry where the first shot of the Texas revolutionary war happened, is an irresistible, carefully planned canvas of historic homes, churches and museums, of public parklands and playgrounds, just ten minutes south of interstate 10 on an inviting stretch of hwy 183 as it winds its way to the Texas coast.
A short one-hour drive time to Austin and San Antonio and a little more to Houston and the gulf coast, Gonzales is among the most desirable locations in the state.
In the heart of the eagle ford shale oil and gas activity, economic indicators place Gonzales as one of the wealthiest rural counties in the nation within the next five years. With its charming 19th century storefronts, five Texas history museums, and avenue upon avenue of elegant historic homes, the quality of life opportunity and economic potential of life in Gonzales today is unparalleled.
