The SpaceI've travelled with AirBNB for years, stayed in dozens of rooms and flats. I've built a cozy private room that's got everything I look for when I travel: - Huge (27m^2) top floor room - Private en-suite bathroom/shower - 70m from Tufnell Park Station / Northern Line - 15 minute walk to Hampstead Heath park - 152 Mbps fibre internet - King-size 150x200cm bed I've done a lot of travelling and stayed in a lot of AirBNBs. I've set this room up to be the perfect place I'd want to stay in: clean, quiet, comfortable, tons of privacy, only see the host when you want to. 2 sets of house keys are available for guests. Come and go any time you like. You also get two room keys, so that you can keep your room locked for security and peace of mind. I keep the room listed under market rate so that it stays booked, and to get more reviews. Special discounted prices are set for longer-term (1 week and 1 month) stays. Guest AccessPrivate en suite bathroom (with shower) on the top floor. Shared bathroom (with bathroom) on the second floor. Shared open plan kitchen / dining area on the first floor. Off limits: office/storage room on the first floor, my bedroom on the second floor. Interaction with GuestsI've got a busy job during the day and I have an active social life after work, so you probably won't see me around much. I'm reachable by phone or messenger if you need help or tips. The NeighborhoodIt's a relatively quiet neighbourhood with a good selection of cheap eats, fancy gastropubs, and easy access to hot spots nearby. Getting AroundTufnell Park Station (Northern Line) is just across the street. Kentish Town (Tube, Thameslink) is 8 minutes away and Gospel Oak (Overground) is 15 minutes away. Other Things to NoteTufnell Park Tube Station (across the street) will be closed for repair from June 2015 to March 2016. Next nearest is Kentish Town Station, 8 minutes walk.

The SpaceLovely flat, full of light and with a warm, cosy and welcoming feel. It's newly decorated, has a modern kitchen, comfortable living room and dining area, and a working space should one be needed. I've tried to create a relaxing home, somewhere you can wind down and feel at peace. I love being here and hope you will too. You'll be sharing the place with my dog and myself, but he's lovely and I'm sure he'd say the same about me. I want you to feel at home and will do all I can to make sure you have the best possible time in London. So if you need help getting around, want to know great places to eat, or are just looking for a few tips let me know. Your bed is super comfortable and fitted with Egyptian cotton sheets. You’ll have as many clean fresh towels as you need and plenty of cupboard space. It’s got converters to make sure your electronics can fit our rather strange British plugs, a hairdryer and even an umbrella if you need it – and let’s face it you might. There are books about London, Oyster cards you can top up (much cheaper way of using the tube or buses) and you can help yourself to tea, coffee, cereal, jam and bread if you’re hungry in the morning. If there’s anything else you’d like to make your stay more enjoyable please just ask. The bathroom is clean and modern, with a rose shower and speakers should you want to make the morning wash a bit more funky. I went all-out and got a heated mirror too, though to be honest I never use it. The kitchen is, yep, clean and modern and you can feel free to use it to your heart’s content. Though be warned, you might have a dog close by. Tufnell Park is close to the centre of London and to public transport so you’ll be able to easily get to wherever you want. It’s also a green and leafy area with some lovely houses and great and unique local shops. This is sort of London where Londoner’s live, and this one would be delighted to welcome you to one of the greatest cities on Earth. Guest AccessFeel free to use the flat as if it were your home. Relax, cook, take advantage of the fast wifi to make friends jealous (London, baby!), or hang out and watch whatever you want on Netflix. If none of that suits I’ve got a dog who just loves a good scratch behind his ears. No need to go anywhere when you’ve got one of them. Interaction with GuestsHappy to help you out with any tips or advice about making the most of London. The NeighborhoodTufnell Park has some top notch pubs serving great food in easy walking distance. My favourite part of London, Hampstead Heath, is also a walk away. Fortess Road is becoming a lovely shopping street with a great butchers, greengrocers, fishmongers and one of the best ice cream shops in London. Getting AroundThe Northern Line is an eight minute walk away and the 134 and 390 bus routes are even closer. You can park your car(s) within the gated community and there's easy access to and from the airport (the Gatwick train comes to Kentish Town, about a mile and a half away). Kings Cross and St Pancras are within three miles and all the other major London railway stations are accessible by tube. Other Things to NotePlease check-in before 10pm.

Camden Town with its famous market is only a few minutes bus ride away or within easy walking distance with great shops on the way. Hampstead Heath is London's biggest park and only a few minutes walk from the flat with the best views across London. All the major London sights like Leicester Sq and Trafalgar Sq and Buckingham Palace are within easy reach as Central London is a quick 15 minutes by tube (Zone 2) or bus. Kings Cross is only a quick 5/10 minute bus ride away on one of the new London Busses, as the number 390 goes from a Bus stop almost right outside this building. From Kings Cross you can jump on the EuroStar to Paris and Brussels. Getting AroundFrom the flat it is less than three minutes walk from two Tube stations (Tufnell Park and Archway are both Zone 2 ),only 200 meters from Tufnell Park Station and served by regular bus routes every few minutes from right outside the front garden gate. The SpaceWelcome! My flat is located on a beautiful quiet street very close to Kentish Town tube station (Zone 2). This is very close to Camden and Kings Cross. There's more about the area in the neighbourhood section... :) I recently spent months redecorating my flat for myself and my guests to enjoy! The living room has two large windows which bring in so much natural light on sunny days. Lounge around the sofa and watch TV or have some breakfast around the vintage dining table! This space is perfect for relaxing. The flat has two bedrooms. Professionally laundered, good quality sheets and towels are provided in both bedrooms. Both bedrooms also have good quality duvets and pillows. The master bedroom has a large double bed which comfortably sleeps two. There is a dresser and cupboard in the master bedroom which have been handed down to me. The blue chair in the master bedroom is also a vintage piece from my family :) The second bedroom is the cutest/coolest bedroom you have ever seen. The bed is a mezzanine bed which means that you have to climb up a few steps to get in. It’s a lot of fun and will make you feel like a kid again! It's a double bed suitable for adults and children :) Because of the dimensions of the bed, I had to get the mattress specially made. No expense was spared to create this organic handmade mattress - this really is the comfiest mattress I have ever slept on! This room also has a little reading nook with a single futon which turns into a bed. Please feel free to borrow one of my many English and French books. These are all my favourite authors and I hope some of you will share my passion for their writing :) Amongst all these retro and vintage items, there is of course some 21st century gadgetry. There is a smart TV in the living room which has a subscription to Netflix. You can watch all the TV channels as well as the internet services such as BBC iPlayer, ITV player etc. Wifi is speedy and I almost never have any problems with it. I also have a bluetooth music player so that my guests can play their own music from their phones, laptops and tablets or listen to local radio stations depending on their moods. If you want to switch off from your screens you have the option of playing Monopoly, Scrabble and Jenga! The kitchen is well equipped with all sorts of devices. I have also left some basic cooking ingredients in case you want to cook a meal for yourself. Another great thing about the flat is that all the water is filtered. So there is no chlorine in the shower or the bath. The water that you drink from the special kitchen tap tastes like pure mountain water! The bathroom contains a shower and a bath. I have left a hair dryer in the bedroom. Thats all I think....I love my flat and I am very excited to share it on Airbnb. Guest AccessI have emptied most of my personal stuff from the house apart from a drawer or so. My guests can use all the other spaces :) Interaction with GuestsI am travelling for work or staying in Wales these days so am not always around to greet my guests. My friends are looking after my home while I'm away and I trust them to give you a warm welcome! They are local Londoners and will look after you. If you have any questions about your stay, please get in touch with me through the Airbnb platform. The NeighborhoodKentish Town is a lovely laid back area in North London not far from Kings Cross. My flat is located 5 minutes away from Kentish Town tube station which is on the Northern line. Camden is less than 10 minutes away by tube. Kings Cross with its connection to the Eurostar is less than 15 minutes away. The same Northern Line will take you to Leicester Square, Charing Cross (for Trafalgar Square) and Waterloo (for the London Eye) in 20 minutes. Kentish Town is known for its pretty residential streets. My street is a movie star - featured in the movie About A Boy starring English actor Hugh Grant. My favourite local in the area is the iconic pub The Pineapple. It has great Thai food (I know right!) which you can wash down with a fine collection of ales. The decor is amazing, and full of pineapples, and I think I have been inspired by it! Another local gem is Ruby Violet ice cream parlour. They do amazing organic handmade ice creams and desserts. Loved by kids and adults alike, I HIGHLY recommend that you get yourself a sweet fix here. There is a little cafe space inside that serves coffee too! As a local there are loads of other recommendations I would like to make for my guests. When you make a booking ask me what you are interested in and I will let you in on the local secrets! Getting AroundThe flat is 5 minutes walk from Kentish Town tube station. This station is on the Northern Line. Other Things to NoteCheck in after 11 pm will be at an extra charge of £40 payable in cash or I can add it to the total price.
