This 18 foot RV is perfect for one/two people looking to unplug & immerse themselves in the beauty & peace of nature on a private peninsula overlooking the lake with full access. Full bath, fridge, stove, sheets, towels, dishes, paddle/row boat, fire pit with some firewood. Well Heated. If you need, ice, drinks, bait, tackle or gas Tow's Country Store is 2 miles away. Come to Art Prize in Grand Rapids. It is 40 minutes to downtown! Then come home for peace & quiet! Ideal for "glamping". Rented only from April - October, this 18 foot vintage RV is in a secluded space with a large meditation garden on one side and stairs down to the lake on the other. There is a high quality infra red heater in it that will keep the place very warm. I also provide soft, comfy comforters and warm blankets. It is across the lake from Shinrin-yoku which is also listed on Airbnb. I live on the lake and there are only two other families on this lake. We have all been coming here since we were kids so it holds a special place in our hearts and we love the privacy and the beauty of this secluded lake. There are no gas motors and the lake is very clean with many springs keeping it that way. It's on a peninsula surrounded by popular trees and the breezes always blow off from the small lake. This lake has no motors on it and is spring fed. It is connected to a larger lake by a channel. The RV has a full bath, fridge, stove, oven, coffee maker, sheets, towels, pots, pans, dishes. Ideal for couples, girlfriends, or a single person looking to unplug from it all and become one with nature. It is teaming with wildlife and is ideal for birding. I have been teaching contemplative walking meditations, offering life transition ceremonies and retreats here in this safe, sacred space for three decades. The restorative energy here is amazing. Many say they feel it as soon as they drive in the driveway! Imagine floating in the small, quiet lake that mirrors the clouds and natural shoreline of the trees. Around you fish are jumping, turtles sunning, birds fishing, dragonflies galore! So bring something to float on. Guests have access to a row boat or paddle boat down the stairs in front of the RV. Bring your fishing pole for perch, pike, bass, blue gill and more. Bring your own kayak or canoe if you like. You can swim in the lake as the water is not only very clean, but feels like velvet due to the many fresh water springs in the lake. The water is very healing as I often go in after working on the land and the scrapes and puncture wounds I get begin to heal instantly!! It amazes me. There is no sandy beach, but the bottom of the lake is firm enough for you to walk out a ways and then swim to a floating dock. When you get here I will show you around and then you will have all the privacy you are looking for. There is a gate at the end of the half mile long driveway to make it a safe and sacred space. You can come and go as you please. Grand Rapids is only 40 minutes away to downtown and it has lots to do if you want to drive down for the day or the evening for a wonderful dinner or live music. The SpacePrivacy, space and nature make this property special. Situated on 40 acres of forest and meadow between 2 lakes is our family cabin of 40 years. The land is a magical place to unplug. The cabin faces a small deep lake teeming with fish, Little Blue. We share it's entire perimeter with only 2 other families. We are 20 minutes from Greenville, 45 minutes from Grand Rapids, 2.5 hours from metro Detroit and 3.5 hours from Chicago. Imagine floating in the small, quiet lake that mirrors the clouds and natural shoreline of the trees. Around you fish are jumping, turtles sunning, birds fishing, dragonflies galore…. Should you swim in the velvet water to the blue raft or canoe through the channel to explore the shallow lake? You could walk the trails through 40 acres of forest and meadows, spying monarchs and giant swallowtails as you pick blueberries and sneak up on wild turkeys. You could swing on the swing overlooking the lake and watch for the resident wood ducks and the pileated woodpecker. After dinner on the deck watch the fireflies, listen to frogs then build a bonfire and gaze at the stars. In wet weather lounge inside by the wood stove, peruse books and play games with your kids. The cabin is modest and cozy not fussy. It was built for good times. You enter through the 3 season room that faces both forest and lake. The main room has a kitchen, dining and living area all with views of the lake and plenty of comfy seating. There are 4 bedrooms. The one off the living room has a view of the lake, 2 twin beds and a full bathroom. The other 3 bedrooms, one with a queen and two with full beds are off a hall from the kitchen as well as the second full bath. In addition there is a washer and dryer and a large deck. Included is the use of a small dock, a platform raft for swimming in deep water, 2 canoes, 1 row boat, a paddle boat and 8 life jackets. The beach is grass and moss with some sand at the water's edge and shallows. The lakes mainly have a soft bottom. No gas motors allowed. There are 2 Weber charcoal grills, 1 gas grill and a dart board. The kitchen is well equipped and has a gas stove and oven, microwave, toaster, coffee-maker/cappuccino maker and vases for wildflowers. There is a speaker system for iPods or computers and a vintage radio. We do not offer internet service but reception is excellent for AT&T and Verizon, perfect for an iPad. Shinrin-yoku is the Japanese art of bathing the senses in the sounds, sights and air of the forest. Trees emit an organic compound, phytoncide that balances the mind and body, enhances the immune system and relieves stress. In this forest slow down, touch a tree, smell the scents, listen to the breeze in the canopy above and the crunch of the leaves below. It's pleasurable and healthy, just what we all need; then take a dip in the velvety lake. More of what we need! Please inquire before requesting a reservation. We are open Memorial Day weekend through November 1st. Other dates are possible but depend on weather conditions. We typically close the cabin from January until sometime in May. At this time we are only booking for full weeks Sunday to Sunday between June 1st and August 31st. Weekends may be booked for the end of May and in September and October. Only people that respect nature need inquire. Children are encouraged but MUST be supervised. Birding is encouraged. Fishing is fine. Hunting is NOT permitted. We do expect guests to be respectful of the effort we take to deliver a clean and orderly cottage when guests arrive and four hours after guests depart to be respectful of the arrival experience of another family of guests. Rented only from April - October, this 18 foot RV is in a secluded space with a large meditation garden on one side and stairs down to the lake on the other. It has two fold out comfortable couches that pull out and convert easily into beds - one double and one single. I can make them up ahead of time so that they are ready for you when you get here if you like. So bring something to float on or ask me for a water lounge. It's 35 minutes away from Grand Rapids which is a fun city to explore and for ArtPrize enthusiasts.
