The SpaceRelax in a rustically charming, old-West-style retreat less than 10 years old. If you're an un-Holiday Inn style of traveler, this place is for you. The decor evokes images of Colorado's pioneer days, right down to the wide-plank oak floors and burnished-brass door knobs. In fact, the architect took much of his inspiration from a Victorian-era cottage in the old mining capital of Georgetown, Colorado. And since there are no street lights, at night you can take in the Milky Way through 16-foot windows. Other amenities include a dining nook drenched in sunlight from windows on three sides and a two-car garage. We welcome children age 5 and older. High King Ranch is halfway between Winter Park and the national park and Grand Lake. All the best restaurants, hiking and scenic drives of Grand County are within a 20-minute drive. Guest AccessDishwasher, brand-new front loading washer and dryer, two-car garage, gas fireplace, unforgettable front porch, plus two decks perfect for outdoor meals. We have a TV and DVD player but no cable (on purpose). Interaction with GuestsI interact only by phone and email. The NeighborhoodWe have city water and sewage – a major luxury high up here in the Colorado Rockies – yet all utilities in our area are underground. So no street lights block your nighttime views of the sky, with stars glowing brilliantly at this altitude. You can view the Milky Way right out our 20-foot windows in the living room. Getting AroundWinter Park buses run throughout the valley during ski season. Other Things to NoteStay in the center of magnificent Grand County, equidistant to Winter Park and Grand Lake, each a 20-minute drive. Plus, Snow Mountain Ranch and Devils Thumb are just around the corner, offering some of the finest XC skiing in winter and mountain biking/horseback riding in summer.

The SpaceTHE CONDO We purchased this unit in 2011 and have COMPLETELY renovated it--we took it down to the drywall and bare floor before making it all new. Everything, from the carpet on the floor, to the paint and wood on the walls, to the tiled entryway, kitchen, and bathroom, to the furniture, is NEW. Well, the fireplace is original, but it's good looking. This unit has an extended loft, which offers 125 (about 20%) more square feet than most other loft units at the Inn at Silver Creek. This loft features high ceilings (no popcorn in this one) and is very open with a sky light and ceiling fan. Beetle-kill pine walls and accents give the unit a cozy mountain feel, and the wrought-iron balusters on the stairs keep the space roomy and classy. Unlike most other properties on the site, we have a complete kitchen (with a FULL stove and dishwasher). The kitchen features new appliances, hickory cabinets, granite tile countertops, and a six-foot counter for eating (or gathering around for drinks). We have a brand new counter-height dining table with four chairs (the table expands and can easily accommodate these chairs as well as the three stools from the counter). Bedroom loft contains a new king-sized bed, 32' flat screen TV and DVD player, dresser, nightstands, and two reading chairs. There is also a queen-sized murphy bed upstairs, if you need more room for sleepers (it's a great place to put the kids down). Living area features a full couch (upgraded mattress in queen sleeper), two cube ottomans, and a 42' flat screen with DVD player (as well as cable). We took the owner/linen closet out of the bathroom, opening up the space for a dual-sink vanity and new tub with tile walls and bench. Since units at the Inn at Silver Creek are individually owned, the quality of renovations vary greatly. We take great pride in the work and extra touches we put into making our unit special for us. THE AREA The Inn at Silver Creek is 3 minutes from skiing at Granby Ranch, 17 minutes from Winter Park/Mary Jane. Just down the road in Fraser, you can go tubing, enjoy a sleigh ride, or book a snowmobile tour. We are 22 minutes from Hot Sulphur Springs, where you can relax in one of their 19 hot pools. We are also 5 minutes from Devil's Thumb and YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch. As for summer fun, we are 10 miles from Lake Granby and just 17 from Grand Lake. Boating and fly fishing opportunities abound, as do places for horseback riding, hot air ballooning, or mountain biking. Granby/Grand Lake also offers access to the southern entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, with Trail Ridge Road taking you over to Estes Park. OTHER The Inn at Silver Creek offers many on-site amenities you may not find at other locations. These include a year-round indoor/outdoor swimming pool, 4 hot tubs (2 inside, 2 outside), sauna, weight room, 2 racquetball courts (we have racquets in the unit for you to use), tennis and volleyball courts. There are also a full restaurant and bar, beauty salon, liquor store, convenience store, arcade, and ski rental shop on site. Complimentary wi-fi is available in the unit. Laundry facilities and barbeque grills are available on site. Keywords: fishing, skiing, tubing, biking, hiking, mountain, getaway, retreat, one bedroom, murphy bed, hot springs, swimming, golfing, Getting AroundSki Granby Ranch has a shuttle to the base from the front door of the Inn at Silver Creek. Other Things to NoteOur unit is non-smoking, but the Inn at Silver Creek is not a non-smoking facility.

The SpaceWe love our condo. We're there a lot. So when we share with guests, it's more like staying at a friend's house than a sterile, stripped-to-basics hotel. We have books, movies, toys, games, coffee, tea, kitchen supplies, etc...just little things that make you feel at home. Guest AccessGuests have full use of condo and garage. We have two hot tubs at Ten Mile Creek, plus heated pool and hot tub at Base Camp. (~2 miles) We do have a locked supply closet on deck. Please note that our condo is on the second floor, and there's no elevator. Much more like an apartment than a hotel. Interaction with GuestsWe do not live at the condo, but visit very frequently between guests to keep it neat and tidy. I'm available by text, phone and email for questions and happy to help. The NeighborhoodTen Mile Creek Neighborhood is more like apartments. Only 12 units in our building, so more private, quiet and peaceful than a "condotel". Our build/windows look out over conservation meadow and Ten Mile Creek. Nice small lake (or large pond) just behind building. We especially like central location and closely located grocery, etc. Getting AroundWe like a car. There is nice shuttle bus to ski basin. Amtrak station in Granby, coming soon to DIA. Shuttle/Van service available to/from DIA. Uber!

Resort Overview Nestled in the scenic Colorado Rocky Mountains, surrounded by breathtaking views of the Continental Divide and Rocky Mountain National Park, it is easy to see why Granby is known as "The Heart of Something Grand." This area is a paradise for the outdoor enthusiast. Two outstanding golf courses, three National Forests – perfect for hiking, biking or horseback riding – and fly fishing galore are right on your doorstep. With the onset of winter, you'll find skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, dog sledding, and snowshoeing to keep you busy. And, after a long day of activity, what could be better than a visit to Hot Sulphur Springs to let Mother Nature steam your aches away. The design of WorldMark Granby – Rocky Mountain Preserve integrates the rugged natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains with the western flare of a historical mining town. You'll feel right at home in these comfortable units with the richness and flair of "rustic elegance", incorporating elements of the outside such as slate, stone and granite, Knotty Pine and Douglas Fir along with bold patterns highlighting gorgeous earth tones of dark green, warm gold and coppery red. Between Granby and Kremmling this stretch of road is part of the Colorado River Headwaters Scenic and Historic Byway. Enjoy a varied landscape of canyons, mountains and pasture and make a stop along the way at the Grand Country Museum in Sulphur Hot Springs featuring intriguing exhibits on everyday life in the Old West. Head in the opposite direction, following the Fraser River toward the small community of Tabernash and you'll see some incredible views of the peaks of the Continental Divide. Popular Attractions Colorado, State Forest State Park The ultimate in rugged Colorado, offering 71,000 acres of forest, jagged peaks, alpine lakes, wildlife and miles of trails. North Park is considered the moose viewing capital of Colorado, with over 600 moose to be observed year-round. Colorado River Headwaters Middle Park is the starting point of the mighty Colorado River. Fly fishermen from around the world come here to test their skills while river rafters enjoy spectacular white water challenges as the river winds its way through Gore Canyon and beyond. See what the Colorado is all about by traveling the 80 mile Colorado River Scenic Byway. Hot Sulphur Springs Rich with history and truly unique natural attractions make Hot Sulphur Springs the perfect place to relax and unwind. Hike and camp on untouched terrain, catch the big one while you fish the Gold Medal Waters, or take a soak in the healing waters of the natural hot springs. Kremmling If you're on the hunt for real Colorado adventure, look no further than Kremmling - a western wilderness filled with breathtaking scenery, roaring rapids, and inviting expanses of unspoiled terrain where the wild life vastly outnumbers the human population. Winter Park If it's a snow activity, you can do it here. The skiing is diverse enough to please beginners and experts. Snow Mountain Ranch Nordic Center and Devil's Thumb Ranch offer plenty of trails and amenities for cross-country skiers and snowshoers and the sledding in nearby Fraser is screamingly good. Sleigh and hayrides are also part of the local winter scene. Or how about a dogsled ride? Visit the Cozens Ranch Museum just north of Winter Park, the site of a stage stop and post office from the 1870s. Be sure to check out the room commemorating Doc Suzie, the first female doctor in the area.
