Kids and dogs roam unattended to swim, fish, play ball or visit the playground next door. A tiny shop four houses down sells everything from fishing licenses, and gasoline to hot pizza and beer. Everyone knows everyone, and looks out for each other.
There are 370,000 acres of forest that are open to the public as well as numerous lakes and streams.
Getting AroundGrand Lake Stream is 2 hours north east of Bangor off Route 1 near Princeton, ME.

Fabulous lakeside cabin/ home on West Grand Lake, 25 ft from the lake. Lots of space with peace & quiet. All amenities you could desire. Day trips to the Bay of Fundy, Canada, and Mt Katadan. Wonderful bass and salmon fishing, swimming, boating, paddling, hunting, photography, abundant wildlife, blueberries, snowmobiling-ITS trails, ice fishing, breathtaking sunsets, exploring, hiking-100 miles of shoreline.
The SpaceGrand Lake Stream is a special place with a gin cold river behind Stream house and some of the best salmon, trout and bass lakes in Maine within walking distance. Visit the magical moss draped forests, swim in the pure and remote lakes, or just take it east on the back porch! Guest AccessGuests are welcome to enjoy the yard and garden. (Feel free to pick herbs, and vegies!) The NeighborhoodStream House is in the center of Grand Lake Stream, next to the old school, playground and across the street from the ball field. Getting AroundGrand Lake Stream is best accessed by car or ATV. If you would like to rent a kayak to explore the lakes and near-by rivers, please let us know, and we will arrange for it.
