The SpaceThis two-story home is tastefully remodled and clean with attention to detail. The upstairs has three large bedrooms and one other room to use for yoga, stretching or play for the children. There is a beautiful bathroom with Italian glass tile floor, new fixtures and a vintage clawfoot tub for bathing. Downstairs is a large living room, modern kitchen with dishwasher and stainless appliances. The downstairs bath has a modern sink, slate tile floor and shower. French windows throughout offer summer breezes and beautiful pastoral country views. In winter it's a cozy warm retreat with central heat. The mature garden with many trees is peaceful with plenty of room to play for the whole family. The house is furnished simply but comfortably in a contemporary country style. The linens and towels are 100 cotton. There is Wi-Fi but no TV at this time even tho one of the photos shows one. Guest AccessYou will have access to the entire house which includes, living room, kitchen, two baths, three bedrooms and one extra rooms upstairs, the yard, fields, and four porches. I use a separate studio on the property. Interaction with GuestsI am available for information about the area, including restaurant recommendations and local activities. I am friendly and also respect privacy. I'm around more during the day than in the evenings and am available by phone and text. The NeighborhoodBeing close to the river provides lovely afternoon breezes, which are so delightful especially on a hot summer day. You can access the river by a short drive to Shrouder Park as well as other nearby parks. We have lots of bird life — doves in the morning, meadow birds, and owls. Canadian geese often fly overhead in pairs in the spring and summer. In fall, large flocks fly in beautiful v-formations. There is big sky in the river valley and it's great to watch storms rolling in. This is a rural neighborhood so you will hear farm animals as well as being able to enjoy some local blackberries in season, eggs and goat cheese from the Saturday farmers market as well as maney local farms with lots of organic produce. Grants Pass is in Josephine County which has become GMO free because of that we have maney people moving here and starting all kinds of sustainable farming. Mom Getting AroundRental car agencies are located in town. My favorite is Enterprise as they will pick you up and drop you off at no extra charge and offer weekend discounts. Other Things to NoteNEARBY ACTIVITIES Hellgate Jetboats on the Rogue, kayaking, rafting, swimming, and salmon and steelhead fishing. Rental of one week or more includes discounts for guided fly fishing on the Rogue. Golf courses, wine tasting, miles of hiking and biking trails, great restaurants, natural food stores, and yoga classes. Great coffee houses and lots of drive-thru espresso shops. The best Saturday farmer's market in Oregon. The world-renowned Wildlife Images (an animal rehabilitation sanctuary), horse racing, the Memorial Day Boatnick Festival. Nearby are the Oregon caves, redwoods, coastal beaches, Mt. Ashland (snowboarding, skiing), Crater Lake, Ashland Shakespeare Festival, historic Jacksonville and The Britt Performing Arts Festival.

If you need extra room, we can put a blow up mattress in the sitting room. There is plenty of turn around room for large vehicles, and the RV hook ups can be made available separately from the room rate. A small pet is negotiable on a case by case basis with a fenced back yard. You may enjoy deer grazing on our front lawn, bird watching, as well as listening to the crickets, and frogs. Music available for iPods. Your bedroom is private, with a private entrance, as is the sitting room, and the Jack-n-Jill bath with double sinks. The patio outside your room is also private, and has a fire ring which will be ready for you to light. The gourmet kitchen and family room with fireplace is shared, although we will be happy to relax elsewhere in our home to give you extra space. The swim spa, with its powerful jets, is across the patio, and is available from 8am-9pm. We are closet philosophers, enjoying both quiet and conversation on a plethora of topics. The SpaceThe property is in a very quiet and secluded location surrounded by towering Pines and Cedars, a stones throw from the Rouge River (although please note there is no direct river access from our property). River access is only three blocks away - about a ten minute walk - at Chinook State Park. Guest AccessThis flat has a private entrance for the guests' use only. We do not use the front house entrance or the garage doors (we park around back), so you will have the entire front yard area to yourself. Interaction with GuestsYour hosts here have traveled extensively and have stayed in many AirBnB locations around the world, so we understand very well what is required to create a positive AirBnB experience. We are fully committed to making sure all of our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. One advantage with the way the property is laid out is that you can expect complete privacy. At the same time though, we make every effort to be available to our guests to answer questions and be responsive to any needs that might arise. The NeighborhoodOur quiet and secure neighborhood is just off the main highway, with towering trees everywhere, and a near constant breeze. The sound of the wind in the trees, geese heading north up the river, and the occasional train chugging along in the distance makes for a very relaxing evening soundscape. Despite the far-off feel, it is only 10-15 minutes from everything you could ever need shopping-wise, including a great little natural market, restaurants, a large variety of grocery and superstores, RV service centers, etc. Getting AroundEasy I-5 access 10 minutes away. Grants Pass Greyound terminal is a 15 minute drive. Medford International Airport is a 30 minute drive. Other Things to NotePlease note that this apartment can accommodate up to five persons, but there is an extra charge of $10 per person per night after the first three. This *does include* children. Children of any age are not excepted from this policy - the maximum number of occupants that will not incur the additional fee is three, regardless of age. There is a $195 security deposit for this apartment, but it is important to understand that according to AirBnB policy, "Absolutely no charges OR authorizations will be made" to your card for this amount at any time, *unless* a claim for damage or violation of the occupancy policy is submitted within 48 hours of your checkout time.

The SpaceNot your average Southern Oregon spot. We are busy bodies and world travelers which enables us to create a space that has character. Though we are not free spirits in the chaotic sense; we value cleanliness to go with our extravagance. We have one cat who is mostly outside. We cannot accommodate your pets though, unless we come up with a special agreement and a sizable pet deposit. Guest AccessWireless internet, bath/shower, use of kitchen, and the rest of the essentials. Feel free to converse with us if you need something special or are desiring something specific. Interaction with GuestsWe lead diverse and active schedules so it will depend. My partner and I learn and teach yoga, qigong, acrobatic yoga, dance (belly dance, Zumba, ecstatic, salsa, bachata and tango), flow art (basics of fire spinning), meditation and my newly created "Energy Union". I also practice in the energy healing arts such as Reiki. There's a lot of magic in our circles, ever working towards a more impressive degree. If we have this is common, we will certainly be happy to share energy. Even if we don't have this in common but you're interested, we will be happy to share energy. Everyone has something phenomenal about themselves; besides getting a few extra bucks to help with our bills, we participate in Air BnB for the new knowledge and epic connections. The NeighborhoodQuiet, peaceful, friendly and safe. Getting AroundSome public transportation, but I do not know the bus schedule off hand. We'll have to look it up. Easy to bike to anywhere around the city; driving is just as easy. Taxis are also available. Other Things to NoteWe appreciate those with good energy to share. We have many goals in our life, as perhaps you do to; we appreciate very much people who have something to share. It's so much easier and more enjoyable to grow in life working and playing together.

Its a big space with plenty of room to enjoy the greenery and birds. Some guests are drawn to the spaciousness and privacy of the Riverlodge or rent both places for extended families. We check with all guests about neighbors. Interaction with GuestsSome times there are guests at our riverlodge next door on the compound. Otherwise you can enjoy the solitude and quiet of the woods and river. We are always available by phone and otherwise leave you pretty much alone. The NeighborhoodThe river offers up endless opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors and dry climate of Southern Oregon. The green canopy of trees and the flowers are abundant around the lodge. Riverlodge is located within the Wild and Scenic area created by the U.S. government in 1960 to preserve the natural beauty of the Rogue River frontage. As a result, building along the river is no longer allowed. At Riverlodge you will have one neighbour and acres of woods for your privacy and enjoyment. The river is about sunbathing, swimming, floating, rafting, jet boats and fishing. You can rent affordable inflatables and float for miles. We recommend starting with a guided float trip to first learn how easy, safe and fun it is. Then rent Tahiti’s or other kayaks by the day and float different sections of the Rogue. Your visit must include a Jet Boat ride. In the summer, these fun boats come by Riverlodge in the late morning and afternoon. It is a great way to see a lot of territory and wild life. We think their best deal is a meal cruise You get wildlife, the jet boat ride and a surprisingly sumptuous dinner family style at their private riverside deck. We usually reserve our ride for the last day of our trip. Make your reservations asap. This sells out. The days are long during the summer so it’s easy to do as much or little as you want. The area is fun to explore. Float or drive to Galice resort and enjoy the beer, food and the music on their summer deck. This is a raucous, fun crowd. Visit our Rogue Valley wine country. There are four appellations within one hour of Riverlodge. My favorite is the Applegate River Valley. It is local, friendly, and fun: a micro climate perfect for Chardonnay, Syrah and Bordeaux red varietals. Applegate proves Oregon isn’t just about Pinot Noir. Start with breakfast or lunch at Applegate store. Great food, locals, club sandwiches and milk shakes to die for. There are numerous wineries to visit. Try Woolridge Creek and finish your day at Troon. These folks are making great wines with popular names like Druids Fluid and Riverguide White. You will want to take some home. If you want quantity call us and we will pass along our discount. The tenured and acclaimed appellation is the Illinois Valley near Cave Junction on route to the Caves National Monument. It is just 30 minutes south of Riverlodge. It is the home of Foris wines. This family has been crafting fine wines for years and exceptional values in Oregon’s favorite Pinot Noir. This year the Wall Street Journal wine column rewarded the 2006 Foris Pinot its best value designation. We think the 2007 is just as good. It is a welcoming place and excellent wine tasting experience. A great outing is combining a trip to the Caves National monument with wine tasting. In the National Hotel at the caves you can enjoy a the historic site with its popular ice cream shop like so many others have for over 80 years. Bring a coat. It is cool in the caves year round. Getting AroundYou will need a car to get around. There are plenty of biking and hiking trails or you can just relax along the riverside and bank fish. Other Things to NoteCell service is spotty. Verizon is best. there is a landline phone that is for emergencies and local calls only. Anyone can reach you at the number provided. We offer an opportunity to get off the grid and reconnect with nature and people. We don't offer internet for streaming of music or movies. For business purposes we can arrange internet access through a shared service for a nominal fee.
