The SpaceRemodeled cabin features natural wood beams, custom blown-glass shades, a fish theme and a peaceful, meditative vibe. At the end of a dead end road, it feels like a tree house 200 feet above the water. Guest AccessWalk to secluded community beach. Guest account on large screen iMac. Whole house includes 2 bedrooms with water views and sleeps up to 5 (2 queens and one single bed). Interaction with GuestsWe live on the island but do not stay at this house when guests are here. We are very happy to answer your questions online. If interested, we would be happy to meet you for coffee or a glass of wine in Langley! The NeighborhoodWalk to the pier and look for the seal colony that lives nearby. At super low tide you can walk out to Baby Island. The neighborhood has minimal traffic, so roads are generally safe for walking, running, and cycling. About 4 miles south is a great network of public trails - Saratoga Woods. 10 min away in Langley Village you will find wine tasting and music at Ott & Murphy Winery, a fine northwest meal at Prima Bistro, and good 'za at Village Pizzeria. Don't miss Kalakala for artistic brews and pour-over coffee or Useless Bay Coffee Co for a lively breakfast or lunch scene. Getting AroundThere is a free Island Transit bus that operates on weekdays (but not Sat/Sun) to/from Langley and Freeland. SEATAC is the closest airport and the Whidbey-SEATAC shuttle is the most convenient way to get to/from the island if you don't have a car. You can also use All Island Taxi for local transportation. Other Things to NoteA cat used to lives here (until Apr 2015). There are steep cliffs nearby. Bedrooms are upstairs and bathroom is downstairs. Stairs are steeper than normal.

The SpaceWelcome home to the WildeBerry on Whidbey Island where relaxation is ripened to perfection in any season. Come kick your feet up and relax on our 7.4 acre turn of the century farm and renovated cottage, complete with walking trails, fruit trees, spring-fed pond and, of course, lots of wilde berries. You get the cottage and the GooseBerry Lodge to use exclusively during your stay! We don't charge extra fees for you to bring your furry best friend or charge cleaning fees as we trust our guests to keep our place tidy. Quite a deal! The WildeBerry is nestled in the heart of Whidbey Island in the charming community of Greenbank, so you’ll be close to everything that this glorious island has to offer. Just 45 minutes north of Seattle and snuggled between the Olympic & Cascade ranges, Whidbey Island is prized for its spectacular weather, verdant landscape and turquoise seas. Meander along seaside trails, under a canopy of old growth forest or shop-until-you-drop in quaint coastal villages...then feast on the freshest seafood and organic produce in one of Whidbey’s many acclaimed restaurants. Don’t forget to try the Blackberry wine! Diving, hiking, fishing, golfing, need we say more? With a bustling calendar of festivals and cultural events each month and several thriving Farmer’s Markets … the possibilities are endless. Guest AccessGuests have exclusive use of the cottage and lodge during their stay. Sorry, no children or extra guests may stay over night on the property, no exceptions. Guests have their own driveway to come and go as they please. Interaction with GuestsWe enjoy greeting our guests and giving them a brief tour of the property upon arrival. The main house is on the property so we are there to answer questions, etc. but we're far enough away so that our guests have privacy and their own driveway to come and go as they please. The NeighborhoodWe may be biased but we think our quaint little town of Greenbank is the coolest and most laid back place on the island. We've got the historic Greenbank Farm with its pie shop cafe, wine tasting, galleries and off-leash hiking trails and the Greenbank Store with its old fashioned grocery store downstairs and a pub and eatery upstairs. The beautiful South Whidbey State park is just around the bend and Meerkerk Gardens is too! Our neighbors are artists, farmers, gardeners, environmentalists, avid fisherman and crabbers....and the majority of us are fantastic cooks! Getting AroundPublic Transit is available and free on the island but we highly recommend bringing a car or at the very least a bike to explore this very long and hilly island! Other Things to NoteIf you plan to bring your pet, please call or write to us prior to making a reservation. It is important to us that your pet is well behaved and socialized as we do have other animals living on the property. We ask that you bring their bedding, bowls, leash, a towel to wipe wet paws and potty bags. We do not charge extra pet fees so please keep pets off the furniture and keep the property tidy. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Although we have wifi and pay extra for a signal booster to the cottage, we do live on an island and unfortunately it is not 100% reliable 24-7. We do not recommend working from the cottage or lodge but can recommend internet cafes, etc. if needed. If constant connectivity is paramount, please consider another property. The cottage has an open floor plan with the shower and toilet areas separated by curtains...if you cannot stand the thought of your mate hearing you tinkle, then perhaps this isn't the place for you. :) The cottage is equipped with a small kitchenette, washing sink, a microwave, mini fridge, dishes, cutlery, etc. We've set up an induction burner and toaster in the lodge where you may dine and hang out. An outdoor grill is also available for your exclusive use.

The NeighborhoodI like that is in the end of a dead end road, hardly any traffic. I fell in love with the trees on the property, the clean air, and clear skies to view the Milky Way! Getting AroundThere is free bus service north and south on the island except on Sunday. There are lots of back roads that you can bicycle. Other Things to NoteA dog lives with us so I am pet friendly. They should be kept restrained either by voice command or restraint. I have seen 1 Coyote in the 9 years I've lived on the property so be warned!
