The NeighborhoodThe great thing about our private community is the variety of activities to participate in, and the beautiful setting. During the summer, it is alive with people riding in golf carts, berry-picking, local fairs and festivals. While here, guests can enjoy speed boating, watersports, kayaking, swimming, sunbathing, tennis, basketball, fishing, hiking and wildlife observation. When the weather turns cooler, autumn in the Poconos is incredibly beautiful as the foliage sets the woods ablaze in color. This is a perfect time to visit farm markets, go hiking, horseback riding, wine tasting at local vineyards or antique-shopping. Kayaking is possible into mid-October. In the winter it is more low-key and peaceful, with a restful ambiance, although there are still plenty of winter activities. For sports enthusiasts there is snowmobiling, skating, ice-fishing, snowboarding, and skiing. Camelback, Montage, Shawnee and Elk Mountain are all less than one hour away. Right here in our community, there is a small sledding hill where guests can break in our brand new toboggan. Year round we have the Tannersville outlet stores that are 30 minutes away. Cove Haven, Mt. Airy and Mohegan Sun offer dinner and entertainment. The last two also offer casinos. Valentine's Day can be a truly special night here when guests make a reservation with Silver Birches Dinner/Theater for a live play and wonderful dining experience.
