The SpaceThe house has two bedrooms. One with a queen bed and large en-suite bathroom, one with a two single beds and smaller en-suite. Decks are accessed by wide opening sliding and stacking doors and windows. The bush on the 1 hectare property is beautiful, with many species of birds, and the views are magnificent. On a clear day the Southern Alps all the way to Mt Cook look so close. There are 22 walks within a ten minute drive! The Cobden beach is a renowned surf spot, and there are mountain bike trails galore, including the new West Coast Wilderness trail. Guest AccessThe house has a large modern fridge, microwave, toaster, oven, and induction cooktop. It is insulated, double-glazed, with solar hot water, and with the log burner going is very winter cosy. Other Things to NotePlease park right at the top of the drive, the carport lower down is not mine

Property overlooks a valley 5 mins to town. It is quiet, comfortable with 2 bedrooms available. This is a home stay so you would be sharing with the owner. Children are welcome. Breakfast only provided. Kitchen private use only.

The SpaceThere are 3 bedrooms each with a queen bed and two bathrooms. The full kitchen has a dishwasher, fridge / freezer, oven, stovetop, rangehood and a Nespresso coffee machine. Laundry facilities are also provided with a washing machine and clothes dryer. The house has free unlimited WiFi and a smart TV with a supply of DVDs. Guest AccessGuests will have access to all areas of the house including the large covered deck and back yard. The garage is available on request. Interaction with GuestsI may not get to meet you during your stay. However I will be available via cell phone to answer any queries. The NeighborhoodThere is an information folder at the house with maps of the local area, brochures and ideas for activities in and around Greymouth. you may want to visit the local brewery, Monteiths, or visit Shantytown, a replica mining village. Punakaiki and the Pancake Rocks are a 40 minute drive north of Greymouth. lake Brunner and the township of Moana are a 30 minute drive inland. Getting AroundMount Street Magic is very close to the Greymouth Railway Station (Tranz Scenic). There is also a local taxi service and several rental car companies close by. There is parking for several vehicles off the street and in front of the house. The property is on a hill overlooking the town. Other Things to NoteIf you would prefer not to do your own cleaning, please let us know before the end of your stay and we will arrange this for a fee.

    Bush Bach is tucked away up the hill in Cobden - the highest house. It's nestled in to the Rapahoe scenic reserve, an area of stunning untouched bush, with mature forest including Nikau palms and Kiekie. From the house are great views of the reserve and the surf at Cobden beach, a renown boardriding spot. There are great little viewing spots all over the section (1 hectare) which look directly over the Grey river and mouth, all the way down the west coast to Mts Cook and Tasman. If you like to walk, run, or mountain bike, there is unlimited scope. 22 walks within a ten minute drive, including the stunning Point Elizabeth walkway and Coal Creek falls. The new West Coast cycleway from Greymouth to Hokitika starts just down the road! If you want to drive a little further, there are gems within 40 minutes such as Punakaiki, Nelsons Creek, and Lake Brunner. Greymouth itself has a lot of charm, once you know your way around. The fishing port, and the headlands on both sides of the Grey rivermouth are must sees. The Montieths brewery tour, with samples, is a cracker, and the cafes and bars are great fun. The famous Transalpine railway is a short walk away, or a couple of minutes in a taxi. Special conditions: There is a flight of steps up to the house from the parking area.         Mount Street Magic is only a couple of minutes's drive from the Greymouth CBD, shops, cafes, restaurants, supermarket, Monteith's Brewery, etc. The beach is only a few minutes away. This holiday home in Greymouth provides a fantastic place to base yourself for exploring the West Coast. - Punakaiki is 40 minutes' drive north on the amazing Coast Road (rated by Lonely Planet as one of the top ten ocean drives in the world). - Hokitika is 30 minutes to the south. - Franz Josef Glacier is about two hours drive to the south. - Lake Brunner and the Moana township are about 30 minutes drive inland. Special conditions: The house is up a set of stairs (under cover). The house is on one level with a large covered deck. The house would be suitable for older children.         The SpaceThe lower floor of the Old Harbourmasters house is for our guests sole use, including the cosy dining/lounge, private shower room and separate toilet. We live upstairs leaving you to enjoy downstairs with other guests. (2maximum). There is a small fridge available for perishables and drinks. Complimentary continental breakfast with gluten, diary and nut free options. Plunger coffee and a selection of teas available. Please advice us on booking any dietary requirements and estimated time for breakfast. Breakfast can be served in dining room and/or outside. Kitchen not available for lunch and/or evening meals, however there is many restaurants and cafes in walking distance.We are located within 1-2 minutes of the start of the Westland Wilderness bike trial. Guest AccessAll guests will use downstairs front door via stairs from roadside. (happy to give help with luggage.) Street side parking next to stairs. Getting AroundThere is no local public transport, however Greymouth has a taxi service. Tranz Alpine train station to and from Christchurch is within walking distance. Connecting buses to further destinations close by. If available we are able to transport guests to local attractions for a small fee. Other Things to NoteOur friendly and sociable dog (Lil) lives upstairs with us. Puss Puss the cat has made a home with us and lives under the house. Owners allergic to cats so she is not allowed inside at all. Bike storage available in lock up garage if required.
