Getting Around15 minutes by car to train into Boston's South Station. 20 minutes by car to historic Concord, MA (east) and Lowell, MA (north) museums, national parks. 30 minutes by car to Worcester colleges, UMass Medical, museums. One hour by car to North Shore beaches, NH and ME coast; 90 minutes by car to Western MA, Tanglewood, Williamstown/Theater Festival; or South Shore/Cape Cod. Room works well for professionals and for parents/families visiting for local school drop-offs, parent weekends, graduations, weddings and other events. Short commute to IBM, Cisco, Oracle, HP, Bristol-Myers, Integra. For tax-free shopping 20 minutes to Nashua, NH. High speed wifi, desk, use of kitchen, Keurig. Washer/Dryer. I do travel on occassion, so there are times when my housemate and grown daughter are home without me. You are are welcome to use the kitchen. If you prefer privacy, there is a small refrigerator in the room which I stock with water. There is also a hot-pot in the room with coffee, tea, hot chocolate and instant oatmeal. You also have access to the laundry in the basement. The NeighborhoodQuiet neighborhood, 8 minutes from Groton center. Groton is a quintessential New England town, home to Groton School and Lawrence Academy. Lovely, well-regarded restaurants (Gibbet Hill, Herb Lyceum, Filho's), terrific wine shop and bakery. Pharmacy, post office, grocery stores all nearby. Easy access to Rtes. 495, 3, and 2, 93 and 95. Short drive to commuter rail parking lot and 40 minutes to Alewife parking. Close to Worcester, Lowell, Concord, Nashua NH, Devens in Ayer. 45 minutes to Cambridge and Boston. Getting AroundYou will need a car to get to our house. There is public transportation on the commuter rail from Littleton or Ayer into Acton, Concord, Lexington, Cambridge and Boston. Other Things to Note1 small friendly dog

Getting AroundThere is a MBTA train stop (Fitchburg Line) in town from Boston. Livery service is in town but a vehicle is (URL HIDDEN) stores within walking distance. The SpaceHistoric home, simple and comfortable, built in 1845, close to bike and walking trails, boat rentals, and Gibbet Hill, a 4- star restaurant a mile away. You can relax in my Yoga studio, or take a class, stroll around the yard, or take a 7 minute walk to the rail trail. The famous Groton School and Lawrence Academy, prestigious private high schools, are less than a mile away. You're 55 minutes from historic Boston and Cambridge/Harvard Square by car. Barbara is a mature, professional Special Education consultant, and experienced Yoga teacher, who will help you relax in her very safe neighborhood. She offers weekly Yoga classes on the second floor of the garage. . You'll share the bathroom with her two delightful female housemates. The guest room is small with a double-size bed, close to the shared bathroom, and a window which looks out over the unruly gardens. Downtown Groton has a well-stocked health food store, charming cafes, a wellness center, and two wonderful restaurants. You can easily walk to the local bike trail from the house. The sparkling Nashua River has canoes and kayaks for rent in season. There is a train 15 minutes away (shockingly consistently on-time! ) which goes to Cambridge and Boston. We have two sweet, shy cats We are LGBTQ- friendly and welcome all your inquires. Guest AccessGuests have access to the kitchen to heat up their own food, make a cup of tea/coffee, or relax at the kitchen table. You can use my office to do your computer work. You'll have access to the Yoga studio if you want quiet, peaceful space to unwind and let go. You can take a Yoga class on Thursday evening. Interaction with GuestsI'm always available when you arrive, and often, when you leave as well, depending on our schedules. Getting AroundThere is plenty of room to park in the driveway. Come up the wooden boardwalk to the front porch when you arrive. Other Things to NoteMake sure you remember there are two cats in residence in case you have allergies. I offer stress reduction, Eating Awareness sessions and relaxation strategies by appointment.

The SpaceThis is a summer cottage built by my grandfather in the 50s and expanded upon in the 60s. All walls are real wood paneled. It sits at the end of a peninsula and it is quaint but extremely functional. it is technically on an island as you have to cross a small bridge to access the property. Guest AccessAll guests will have full access to entire house and property. Interaction with GuestsThere are two other houses on the property. One of which is a small cabin that is summer only and the other is my own house which is year round. I will be on the property most days and available should assistance be required. The NeighborhoodThe property is on a peninsula on an Island so you will not have much interaction with neighbors. I know them all and they are all exceedingly friendly. Getting AroundThere is a train station in both Littleton (15 minutes) and Lowell (25 minutes. Other Things to NoteThere is a Shaw's grocery store 2 miles away and shopping malls within 25 minutes. It is about 10 minutes to Rte. 495 at exit 31 in Littleton, MA. Waterskiing lessons provided using a Mastercraft Competition Waterski boat. All levels of skiing, both slalom and barefoot can be taught/coached. Purchase of fuel is all that is required.

The SpaceThe room is a private room off the garage with a lovely a meadow view. Guests have full access to the yard and walking paths, and have their own private sitting area. Guest AccessThe bathroom is a short walk through the yard to the main house and is reserved for guests during their stay. The NeighborhoodWe are directly across the street from a pick-your-own apple orchard with beautiful distant mountain views. Getting AroundWe are 15 minutes from the train to Boston/Cambridge and about an hour's drive. Other Things to NoteWe are about 1 mile from the Nashua River a Rail Trail.
