The SpaceUPDATE. Not yet taking bookings for 2017 until I know more about where I will be when! The room is a double bedroom with double bed and your own bathroom next door with bath and shower in bath (with fixture for shower on the wall and shower curtain). I offer breakfast of cereal, porridge or muesli, toast and tea or coffee. If you would like eggs and fruit as well let me know. Also let me know if you need gluten or lactose free food etc. There is plenty of parking. I supply good quality bedding, a duvet and towels and a hairdryer and shampoo. I have fibre WiFi internet access and there is a small TV in the room that gets Freeview channels. There is also a tray with various teas and coffee in the room. I live just across the street from a long sandy beach and a short stroll away, along the seafront, from Gorey castle and the harbour area with its cafes and restaurants. The castle is open to the public for a fee. Buses run from opposite the house into St Helier every 20 minutes (a 25 minute ride) and from there you can get connecting buses to the rest of the island. If thinking of renting bikes I can also recommend renting a car as it works out cheaper and allows you to visit all the out of the way places many visitors never get to see. Gorey is in a very pretty part of the island. The north east corner is very unpopulated compared to much of the island and has many Green Lanes (15 mile an hour speed limit) so is good for walking or cycling and there's an interesting coastline with many bays. I would prefer people with a profile and preferably some references. Non smokers please unless you smoke outside. Please arrive before 9pm as I go to bed early. PLEASE also if requesting to stay tell me something about yourself (and your partner) if you haven't done so on your profile. I need to know to whom I will be leaving a key to my home. I won't accept requests until I feel I have an idea who you are! Checkout on day of departure before 10am please. Incidentally my partner Jerry will be here sometimes when not in the UK where he lives. He is retired (ex IT specialist) and now runs a charity. . Guest AccessYou are welcome to use the kitchen to have breakfast and make sandwiches etc in the morning and make light snacks. Tea and coffee in the kitchen (as well as the room) available all day. I have a sunny back garden you can use if you feel like chilling at home. Interaction with GuestsI will also be living in the house but will be at work some of the time. I love to have some interaction with guests. I have travelled a LOT and always stay with locals and do HelpX where you work for room and board. I like to hear peoples' stories and have a laugh. Getting AroundI have parking for visitors with cars and there is a very frequent bus service from opposite the house to and from St Helier (25 minute journey) with equally frequent connections to the airport and ferry terminal. Other Things to NoteIf you want to buy food and keep it in the fridge I can keep a shelf clear for you. There are several food shops in the village, (the small supermarket is open until 8pm every day). There is also a very good fish and chip shop, TWO Chinese takeaways (and a Chinese restaurant also) and the Bass and Lobster restaurant a couple of minutes walk away. If you would like to buy a takeaway you are welcome to use the kitchen to eat in. The harbour area has a pub and several excellent restaurants including The Crab Shack and Feast and there is also a quaint little Thai restaurant right at the far end of the pier.

    St Clements Farm is a charming and spacious 5 bedroom property with a large, safe enclosed garden mainly laid to lawn - just perfect for a relaxing family holiday. The property has been extensively modernised yet still retains all of the character of a traditional Jersey farmhouse and is ideally placed for touring the whole of the island. The spacious kitchen has a dining area but there is also a lovely separate dining room with windows overlooking the sunny garden and a large separate lounge. Guests can also book group classes or private Yoga lessons in the on-site studio.* The south facing bedrooms all have distant sea views and it is only a very short walk to the beautiful South East coast, a superb stretch of coast which is one of the world's protected RAMSAR sites. This beach is wonderful and safe for swimming at high tide, rock pooling and shrimping at low tide and a bird watcher's paradise, particularly in the Autumn when there is a wealth of marine life and migrating species. The maximum occupancy is up to 6 adults and 4 children under the age of 16 plus 1 infant. The accommodation can easily accommodate 2 families. There is a library and board games are also supplied. Sorry, no smoking in the accommodation. * Please request details of Yoga classes from Freedom Holidays. Children of all ages most welcome.         This fabulous barn conversion is the perfect holiday home. Away from the hustle and bustle, this rural location above Rozel valley has direct access to the cliff path network. The pretty bay and picturesque harbour are a few minutes stroll and is a delight for holiday makers and locals. The dining opportunities in the bay are varied and include one of the oldest surviving food kiosks, a bar serving meals, a continental style restaurant and a AA 4 star 3 rosette hotel restaurant steeped in history. Arrivals are Saturday to Saturday in blocks of 7 days from end of March to October Outside this period any day arrival is possible on a minimum 7 day charge period basis. Pets are not accepted. Nowhere is far in Jersey and a short drive takes you to Trinity Village, the world famous Durrell Wildlife park and the Jersey Steam Museum. St Helier is approximately 4 miles.           The Bakehouse Cottage has been sensitively restored using traditional materials and fittings. The original bread oven has been retained in the kitchen, but is non functional. This is a unique opportunity to stay in a traditional 17th Century Jersey farm building that has been brought up to date for 21st century living and is a proposed Site of Special Interest. It is only a ten minute walk to the beautiful South East coast, a superb stretch of coast which is one of the world's protected RAMSAR sites. This beach is wonderful and safe for swimming at high tide, rock pooling and shrimping at low tide and a bird watcher's paradise, particularly in the Autumn when there is a wealth of marine life and migrating species.                 Close to St Catherine's woods, the impressive St Catherine's Breakwater and secluded beaches, Archirondel Tower provides a perfect coastal base while you explore the north-eastern corner of Jersey. Built on a rocky outcrop in St Catherine's Bay in 1792, Archirondel Tower was used as a garrison for artillery soldiers and has been a key defensive point throughout Jersey's history. Linked to the shore by the abandoned southern arm of St Catherine's Breakwater, the Tower has been converted into one of our basic coastal towers and accommodates up to 10 people at any time. Split over three levels with a large terrace overlooking the tranquil bay of Archirondel, the Tower provides a great base for those looking for adventure, with the sea on your doorstep. The ground floor comprises of a beautiful vaulted-celling dining area with a dining table for six people with a fridge and a kettle. Accessed via an exterior metal stairway a timber door followed by a low steel blast door, installed by occupying German Forces in 1941, takes you to a sleeping area with three basic wooden bunks with canvas mattresses. A further ladder takes you to the second floor with another four bunks. No linen is provided, so this is a back-to-basics camping type experience. If you enjoy water sports, such as kayaking, then we recommend bringing it with you. The eastern coast of Jersey has many secluded bays to explore and teeming with marine wildlife. There is also a café 100 yards away, which is perfect for those early morning bacon rolls before you go on your next excursion around the Island. There is no running water or toilet facilities at Archirondel Tower, however guests have 24 hour access to public toilets and showers. The tower has electricity and lighting.

                  This absolutely stunning 3 bedroom detached holiday home is majestically perched on the very edge of the island on the east coast of Jersey and has uninterrupted sea views across to France. The views are equally exceptional from both of the ground floor double bedrooms and the large open-plan living area, whilst the view from the terrace must be one of the very best in Jersey. Ideal for sea lovers, being built on the rocks above the south facing bay, it is literally a stones drop to the water at high tide. It is just a minutes' walk to a slipway to access the sea where you can enjoy a refreshing open-sea swim or launch kayaks or a small boat. L'Hôpital is a property well known in Jersey and was built in the mid 1800's to function as a small hospital to look after those injured building St Catherine's Breakwater (less than a mile away) rather than take them into the main town of St Helier on the south coast. The Breakwater was intended to be half of the protection for a port for the British Navy, but for strategic reasons it was never completed, but L'Hôpital remained at the centre of the large, protected bay. The property has been sympathetically modernised and is finished to a very high standard and is very well equipped. It is only a short walk along the coastal footpath to St Catherines' Breakwater where a stroll to the very end of the breakwater to spot dolphins is a lovely way to pass an hour or so. Day trips to the Ecrehous Reef and to France leave from here and it is a lively bay for kayaking and dingy sailing. There is a also popular beach cafe here which serves food all day long. Mont Orgueil Castle is just a walk or a short drive to the south and this castle overlooks the lovely harbour area of Gorey where there is a great choice of restaurants ranging from gastro pubs to fine dining establishments. This property would make a perfect honeymoon retreat but would be equally perfect for couples wishing to enjoy a relaxing holiday with fabulous sea views and it would also be an idyllic base for a family wishing to enjoy a traditional cottage/beach holiday.

                  We are close to St Helier and only 5 mins drive from Gorey with its beach, castle, golf course and many restaurants. Val Poucin is situated in a narrow valley surrounded by fields on a typical Jersey 'green lane'. Inside the cottage has a clean modern finish, but retains its character and homely feel. Outside you can enjoy use of the sunny courtyard at the back of our main house, a deck terrace outside the bedroom on the 1st floor and access to a private garden area from there.

There is a supermarket 7mins walk away. It is light, clean, and is comfortable. We are looking for guests who will respect and care for our apartment to the high standard that we do.                   The SpaceA beautiful large, light and spacious room with vanity unit and lots of storage space on the first floor of the house. It has large windows overlooking the garden and the moon shines brightly through when full (there are of course thick curtains to block the light when not wanted!). Families with children are welcome, we have a cot available as well as a fold-out single bed for young children, and the main bed can also split into two singles if required. Please feel free to contact us before a booking is made with any specifications you may have regarding sleeping arrangements. We have a lot of bedding available for you, and if you have more children we can find extra mattresses! There are tea and (instant) coffee making facilities in the room and an electric cool-box to keep your Jersey dairy products fresh and cool! High speed wifi is available at no charge. There is a new power-shower in the bathroom, and hot water is available 24/7. Guest AccessYou will have shared access to the house with us, and the room is on the first floor of the house, via a staircase. You will have your own key and are free to come and go as you like, (with consideration to other house members). The garden is available to you for spending a lazy day in the sun, and it is relatively private with one empty neighbouring room overlooking. It is currently having much Spring-planting happening, and we hope to have it green and lush soon! It is an old garden and home to lots of wildlife (toads/newts/hedgehogs), and we are restoring it carefully after a few years of neglect. We love green spaces, and are very excited at our project! Interaction with GuestsWe run a small business and have a young daughter, however we are often around the house and happy to offer support and advice where needed. We will provide tourist maps, bus times and general info in the room but feel free to come and speak with us about anything you're unsure of. We respect the privacy of our guests, and please be rest assured that we are here if you need us, but you will have a restful uninterrupted stay in our home. The NeighborhoodThe area surrounding us is quiet but convenient. We are located near a Co-Op Supermarket, Iceland and petrol station. We are on one of the best bus routes in Jersey too, and about a half-hour cycle into town. 10 minutes walk East takes you to the beautiful beach or Gorey (and Stuart, owner of the best ice cream van in Jersey!). A walk west into the farm lands, green lanes and Queens Reservoir, which is lovely to take a stroll around. A wander South takes you to the local pub, The Pembroke, and Grouville Golf Course (with breathtaking views of the beach from every hole!). Exploring North takes you over the wildflower common to Gorey Village and 5 minutes onwards to the pier with a fantastic selection of restaurants, bars and Gorey Castle overlooking the picturesque Gorey Pier and Bay. Getting AroundWe have parking for one car and there is other parking available nearby. Bus times are found on the Jersey bus website, and the relevant bus numbers are 1-1a-1g-2-2a Cycling is a lovely way to see the island, it has its hills, its ups and downs. The island is made up of a gorgeous network of 'green lanes' where the speed limit is a mere 15mph; so cycling is a perfect way to explore! Other Things to NoteIf we are available we can offer an airport collection for £20 and bring you via the scenic route (North or South coast at your choosing!). We do have a daughter (2yo in May) and she is unbelievably cute.

We are close to a recreation centre which includes a 9 hole golf course, tennis courts, squash courts and a restaurant. There is a gastro pub within 10 minutes walk, Green Island Restaurant within 2 minutes walk and supermarkets are also within walking distance. Getting AroundWe are just a few minutes walk to the main south coast road where you can pick up the No 1 bus route which runs along the coast road from St Helier every 20 minutes to the beautiful village of Gorey where you will find speciality shops, restaurants and tea rooms all overlooked by the magnificent castle of Mont Orgueil. If you enjoy walking we are in an ideal location to explore both the coast and the country, both of which are a few minutes walk from the house. Other Things to NoteWe provide a continental breakfast which includes croissants, cereals, fruit, bread, homemade jams and marmalade, home made fat free Jersey tea bread and yogurts.                     This lovely holiday home is a pretty 2 bedroom semi-detached cottage in the rural parish of St Martin. The property has an open-plan living space over the entire first floor and Juliet balconies add to the feeling of space and light in this delightful room. Located in the north of the island there is easy access to the village of St Martin where there is a small convenience store, a tea room and a pub which serves food. It is just a short drive to the pretty harbour of Rozel Bay where there is a small sandy beach and a choice of restaurants, a tea room, a popular beach kiosk with outdoor seating and a pub with a beer garden. Archirondel beach is within walking distance (but a hill to come back up!) and the attractions of Durrell Wildlife Conservation Park and The Orchid Foundation are also nearby. Gorey Harbour and Mont Orgueil Castle on the east coast are well worth a visit and there is a very good choice of restaurants around the harbour. There are lovely walking areas nearby including the north coast and also in the pretty St Catherine's Woods area. The accommodation sleeps a maximum of 4 adults and 1 child. Children aged 5 and over are most welcome. The zip and link double can be made up as 2 singles. Sorry, no smoking in this accommodation.

                      This fabulous barn conversion is the perfect holiday home. Away from the hustle and bustle, this rural location above Rozel valley has direct access to the cliff path network. The pretty bay and picturesque harbour are a few minutes stroll and is a delight for holiday makers and locals. The dining opportunities in the bay are varied and include one of the oldest surviving food kiosks, a bar serving meals, a continental style restaurant and a AA 4 star 3 rosette hotel restaurant steeped in history. Arrivals are Saturday to Saturday in blocks of 7 days from end of March to October Outside this period any day arrival is possible on a minimum 7 day charge period basis. Pets are not accepted. Nowhere is far in Jersey and a short drive takes you to Trinity Village, the world famous Durrell Wildlife park and the Jersey Steam Museum. St Helier is approximately 4 miles.                         Rose Lea Cottage is located in the charming Village of St Martin. In days long gone this was an apple store and through a long and diverse history now offers spacious holiday accommodation. The entrance way has true country ambience as it houses a 'Le Pressoir' (traditional cider press). The pretty garden plus a separate terrace helps to make this an ideal holiday home.                         Close to St Catherine's woods, the impressive St Catherine's Breakwater and secluded beaches, Archirondel Tower provides a perfect coastal base while you explore the north-eastern corner of Jersey. Built on a rocky outcrop in St Catherine's Bay in 1792, Archirondel Tower was used as a garrison for artillery soldiers and has been a key defensive point throughout Jersey's history. Linked to the shore by the abandoned southern arm of St Catherine's Breakwater, the Tower has been converted into one of our basic coastal towers and accommodates up to 10 people at any time. Split over three levels with a large terrace overlooking the tranquil bay of Archirondel, the Tower provides a great base for those looking for adventure, with the sea on your doorstep. The ground floor comprises of a beautiful vaulted-celling dining area with a dining table for six people with a fridge and a kettle. Accessed via an exterior metal stairway a timber door followed by a low steel blast door, installed by occupying German Forces in 1941, takes you to a sleeping area with three basic wooden bunks with canvas mattresses. A further ladder takes you to the second floor with another four bunks. No linen is provided, so this is a back-to-basics camping type experience. If you enjoy water sports, such as kayaking, then we recommend bringing it with you. The eastern coast of Jersey has many secluded bays to explore and teeming with marine wildlife. There is also a cafĂŠ 100 yards away, which is perfect for those early morning bacon rolls before you go on your next excursion around the Island. There is no running water or toilet facilities at Archirondel Tower, however guests have 24 hour access to public toilets and showers. The tower has electricity and lighting. Please not that this property has no heating. We recommend our Coastal towers for short stays for most of our customers as facilities are basic to non-existent. Close to St Marin is Gorey with a wealth of places to eat and drink. Local attractions include Mont Orgueil Castle and St Catherine's Breakwater. In St Marin you will find a welcoming local pub and a tea room. Archirondel beach is a popular spot for bathers and a beach cafe offers fresh sandwiches and hot food during the day (summer time only). Archirondel Tower is a perfect short stay property for those wishing to explore Jersey's eastern tip, it is close to St Catherine's woods, St Catherine's breakwater and the impressive Mont Orgueil castle.
