Center Pond Retreat is located on Center Pond, and is accessed via a well maintained gravel road. There is also plenty of room to park your vehicles. There are other camps located on this portion of the pond, but it's a quiet. There are camps located on either side of ours, but like the area, it is quiet. The camp is located about 8 miles from Dover-Foxcroft, which contains plenty of stores to purchase food and any other items you may need during your stay. One can stay at camp and enjoy the views, and use the pond for kayaking, swimming, or fishing. Or, you can travel short distances to take advantage of Maine's parks, public lands, and of course, the Appalachian Trail.
We have created a "camp book" which contains a lot of information about the area and its amenities, places to shop and eat. And, our recommendations to buy Maine lobster. We are always available to answer questions prior to your visit or while you are at camp. We also have a local caretaker that can address any unexpected issue that may arise during your stay.
