The SpaceNOTE: THIS IS A 2 BEDROOM SUITE with privacy, not one bedroom as it says. That's a default setting in airbnb. PRIVACY AND COMFORT Your accommodations at Casa de Las Brisas (named for the breeze) are private, quiet, relaxed and casual, comprising one end of a waterfront retreat-like home. You are likely to encounter dolphins and ospreys, not noise or traffic. Bedroom #1 opens out towards the water, and features a Queen bed and TV with HBO. Across the hallway, Bedroom #2 has a Double bed plus desk, fridge, coffee maker, microwave and a safe for valuables. Both have WiFi and lots of closet space. They share the private bath…a big tub with jets for a total bubble experience. The suite is separated from the rest of the house by a hallway and a louvered door. YOU CAN RELAX. This is your place to, swim, read, go boating or just chill out. And it is your base for exploring the many attractions of the Tampa Bay area. MASSAGE Those serious about relaxing might want a massage out by the water or inside under a ceiling fan. A masseuse can deliver everything from a light relaxation experience to a therapeutic intra-muscular event. Typical price is $80 for an hour. Best to discuss at booking time. HAVE TO WORK? Do so in comfort and privacy. Have more effective meetings...order food and talk over lunch by the pool. WiFi. Printer and Fax available. Convenient location to all of the Bay Area. For maximum effect, combine work and massage! Guest AccessThe suite is private and we expect you to use the kitchen, living room, back yard, patio, pool and dock as much as you like. The hammock under the palms is ready any time! Come and go as you like at any hour. EATING. We start you off with basic breakfast materials in the kitchen. Please take it from there, being as simple or extravagant as you feel. Food prep is optional as downtown Gulfport is just a 12 minute walk (ok, a two-minute drive, and 15 minutes by kayak) and hosts great little restaurants and watering holes with live music. It’s a short drive to some excellent restaurants in St Pete and on the Beaches. A 30 minute drive to Tampa opens the spectrum even wider. POOL The pool feels great in hot weather. It is small but just about long enough to swim laps. Temperature: it is not currently heated. Temps in the summer are mid 80’s F, down to mid 60’s F in the winter, depending on the weather at the time. We use it from approx April to October but life in Florida has made us weak and soft. Some people swim in January. BEACHES. Important to almost everyone, our beaches are some of the best, and are just a 10+ minute drive. The Gulf of Mexico laps up on miles of fine clean white sand. And there is no risk of starvation as beach-style restaurants and bars are spaced along your route, many with music plus locals and visitors from around the world. BOATING/FISHING/SAILING. The location is just perfect for watersports. Launch a boat or jetski at the marina ¼ mile east and keep it at our dock. We are on miles of protected water and the Gulf is just minutes away by powerboat. Cruisers need a comfort break from the confines of shipboard life. Anchor your vessel (excellent holding) off the dock and come enjoy the pool and a soft bed. Boats, Jetski's, Kayaks and Paddleboards are available for rent at the marina, while our bay is the venue for national level sailing regattas ATTRACTIONS. Tampa Bay has entertainment and performing arts to rival any large city. Besides the world famous beaches, we have big attractions like Busch Gardens and Adventure Island, plus smaller, more intimate experiences like Sunken Gardens, the Tampa Aquarium or the Museum of Science and Industry. The Disney complex is just 90 minutes from our door. The commute makes for a much more relaxing end to the day than does the strip of hotels in Kissimmee. GOT ART? Gulfport creativity is on display at a variety of small galleries. St Pete’s Art District is minutes away as are the Dali Museum and the glass artworks of Chihuly. In fact St Pete and Tampa are regularly named #1 and #2 of Mid-Sized Cities for Art. It seems there is an art festival somewhere in the bay area every weekend….some of these are big. Art lovers will want to research this. SPORTS. Tampa Bay Bucs, Soccer, Hockey. The Indycars start their season racing on the streets of St Pete. And have you ever watched Major League Baseball in July in air conditioned comfort? You don’t have to be a hardcore fan to enjoy that. Offshore powerboats…and more…. SHOPPING. Galleries, antique and gift shops dot the Bay Area. High end apparel is close by and not much further, we have an excellent factory outlet mall for the power shopper. Something for every taste. Interaction with GuestsWe are normally here to welcome you and show you around. Most days we are found working in the other side of the house (we publish a magazine) and occasionally we’re off on business. In this case, a trusted friend will show you around and we are ALWAYS available by phone. In any event, you have privacy….your own space. If we can help you enjoy your visit, we will happily do so, but if you just want peace and privacy, you'll have it. You are not 'invading our space'!! We like having guests here or would not do it. If you are new to an airbnb-style home like this, I assure you that you will be comfortable. Please read comments from other guests…it cost a bundle to bribe all those people to say nice things so I hope you’ll check them out. The NeighborhoodThe City of Gulfport is a little town adjacent to the City of St Petersburg. It is a bit artsy but, other than calling itself a City, it is without pretense. The atmosphere is casual, inviting, and gay friendly. It’s a unique little piece of Florida. An Artwalk event takes place twice a month and a Fresh Market in the street on Tuesdays. We are fortunate to have restaurants that draw locals from all over Tampa Bay. Getting AroundYou can walk or bike around Gulfport. There is some public transportation but for serious exploration of St. Petersburg, Tampa, Clearwater, Sarasota and the Beaches, a car is best. Parking on the premises. Other Things to NotePRICING FOR CHILDREN. No charge for little ones under age 3, and 1/2 price from 3 through 12. Please list those kids as guests when you book! We will make a correction to the price or modify the reservation. Parents/grandparents with young kids should consider what hazard the pool and dock might represent. We have a Pack and Play ready to go.

The SpaceThis family-friendly 2 bedroom historic home features a king bed in one BR and a double and twin in the second BR. There is a separate studio space behind the garage, and an independent 1BR space that you may rent in addition to the 2BR space if you have a larger group. The entire property can accommodate up to 10-11 guests (but all 3 spaces must be rented). It is adjacent to a large public park and pier in the quaint town of Gulfport. Perfect for walking to great restaurants, fishing from the beach or off the Pier, bird watching, sunning and relaxing! Truly feels like a retreat just steps from town. Ideal spot for a beach wedding or other family celebration (Additional fee applies). Please also check our discounted weekly and monthly rates. Guest AccessWasher and Dryer in garage and Private Beach is available for your use. Both are shared with guests in back 1 BR and Studio. Beach is ideal for children as there is ample shade and the water stays shallow for at least 100 feet. Also great for fishing, as is the public pier next door to the house. Please wear water shoes as there are sharp shells that wash up. There is a medium-sized, simple, portable charcoal grill for your use - it is guest maintained. Interaction with GuestsWe and our assistants are available if need be, and are sometimes on the grounds for maintenance. We are making home and grounds available for weddings this year up to 50 guests. Please contact us for group rates and details. The NeighborhoodGulfport is amazing - many great restaurants, Art Walks with vendors and live music in the evening each First Friday and Third Saturday, and Fresh Market on Tuesdays during the day. 10-12 minutes from St. Pete Beach or the now chic downtown St. Petersburg. 25 minutes from Tampa International airport. Getting AroundEverything is walking distance - Gulfport Trolley will take you around the town if you wish and connect to main bus system. Please see the Guidebook on upper right hand corner of listing or click Maps tab next to Photos - it has a great overview of our location and fun things to do nearby. Also, shows the grocery store Publix. Other Things to NoteThere is no direct water view from apt. - This space overlooks expansive park to West- see photos. There is another 1BR apt. in rear, as well as a studio annex that face the water - both are available on Airbnb. For larger parties, all of the spaces can be rented together to sleep a total of 11 in beds. Because the Boca Ciega Bay is vibrant with sea life, seaweed washes up on the beach. We rake and groom the beach to perfection every 1-2 weeks, but things do wash up with each tide, including, sadly, plastic bottle tops and bottles. Our cleaners do tidy up but it is often hours between the time they are at the beach and guests arrive, so mother nature does occasionally leave unexpected items there.

The SpaceThis place is close to everything you would want that St Pete has to offer yet far enough that you don't feel like you are stuck in the middle. Four can comfortably stay here and six can make it happen with a little effort. The house has a spacious two car garage with plenty of parking on the side and in front of the house. The house is keyless so one less thing for you to worry about. There is a garage door opener available for you if you care to use it. Rays game with friends? sounds great, 5 minutes away. Beaches? 15 minutes Walmart? Take your pick, there are two, one of them 5 minutes away. Plenty of grocery stores within 5-10 minutes. Got family in the neighborhood? Like I said, close enough yet far enough. Guest AccessMy guests have access to the entire house. The the internet is free and wi-fi abounds, I do not believe in Cable television but I do have a Roku box installed with Netflix and Amazon Prime. If you can't find it there it is not worth watching. Interaction with GuestsI generally work during the day but I can be available during the evening for questions or a quick stop over, I live only 5 minutes up the road so it is no problem. I ordinarily don't like to impose or be around during your stay unless you request. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is up and coming with many quaint houses. I've walked and jogged with my wife down all the nearby streets and constantly gotten ides for exotic plants from the neighbors. Getting AroundSt Pete is not a place for public transportation. However it can be done and this house is one of the best locations in the city to make it work. There is a bus line that runs from the house to the beaches one direction and to the city the other direction and both buses have stops within 100 steps from the front door. To really get around the way you'd need to in this city you'd need a car whether it is your own or a rental and when it is raining cats and dogs it is particularly nice to pull into the garage at the back of the house. Other Things to NoteI am very savvy with computers. If you have a broken one I'd be happy to have a look at it or if you need any instruction in the technology in the house I'd love to chat.

I'm very friendly with extensive overseas travel experiences, so I will assist as much as possible to make guests feel comfortable and give them a quality vacation. I was a European tour guide based in Germany for two years. Having been born in southern Slovakia, I still speak Hungarian and Slovakian pretty well in addition to English. Places I've visited include most of Europe, parts of Russia, East Africa, most of the Caribbean, and parts of Central and South Africa. More adventures are planned for the future! My hobbies include reading, writing, cycling, walking on the beach, learning new things, fitness and healthy living, my pets, spending time with friends, and traveling. The NeighborhoodThe Wave is just minutes from the warm, turquoise waters and white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, Fort DeSoto Park, and St. Pete Beach which was chosen by "Dr. Beach" as one of America's top beaches. This tastefully furnished, highly affordable, shared condo will suit your budget! Hop on board the Suncoast Beach Trolley at the Don Cesar, the famous "Pink Palace" on St. Pete Beach recently named "American's Best Historic Hotel," and spend the day exploring and touring Florida's Gulf beaches. Enjoy the "catch of the day" at one of the many beachfront restaurants or take a break from the sun and sand and meander through the unique shops and many tourist attractions up and down our beautiful coastline such as St. John's Pass. If you desire theme park adventures, Busch Gardens is a 45 minute drive east while Walt Disney World, Sea World, and Universal Studios are less than 2 hours away. Shop, dine, and explore downtown St. Petersburg during your stay. Sundial, the city’s newest architectural wonder in the heart of downtown, will mesmerize you with its unique collection of shops, restaurants, spas, nightlife, and entertainment. The place “to be” in downtown St. Pete is Beach Drive. Overflowing culture and arts, the unrivaled Chihuly Collection is just one of many diverse galleries along Beach Drive. The excellent dining at one of the many upscale restaurants is a must. St. Pete’s picturesque waterfront is also home to the world-class Dali Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, Mahaffey Theater, Florida Orchestra, and over 1,000 special events and festivals each year. For visiting sports fans, the choices abound--Tropicana Field, the home of the Tampa Bay Rays, is a 15 minute drive. Just north on Interstate 275 is Raymond James Stadium and Amalie Arena, home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Lightning. The Tampa Bay area is also home to the Rowdies of the North American Soccer League, minor league baseball, and MLB Spring Training. So, pack your bags because it's vacation time which around here means fun in the sun! Antique theatre chairs from the original Metropolitan Opera House in New York City, provide unique seating for two. A peaceful view from the bed of the exterior oak canopy, completes the scene. A custom built island with dining, flows to your kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, convection/toaster oven, professional double burner, electric tea kettle, French press and a George Foreman grill. There is also a full set of pots and pans, utensils, cutlery, glassware, condiments and spices as well as an outdoor grill. Entrance to the apartment runs along the right-hand side of the property. "Cracker Shack" is situated behind the main house. The SpaceYou have your own private entrance to this stunning oasis. Every where you turn there is something that draws your attention--- the sparkling blue pool, the blooming Jasmine, the dazzling and hypnotic stone waterfall, the cabana, the gazebo---something is always in bloom. Dozens of places to get some sun, read a book or snooze. The Master itself has a full bathroom with tub and shower, a deluxe king size bed that is outrageously comfortable, 600+ thread count sheets, a spectacular 50 in HD tv with HBO, a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. I've got beach chairs, towels, coolers, toys--everything you need for the ocean. The location is super convenient. I'm minutes from the white sand of St. Pete Beach---only 2 miles away. Downtown Gulfport with it's funky shops, great restaurants, ARTwalk and farmer's market is a mile away. Gorgeous downtown St. Petersburg is only 7 miles away. Don't even get me started about how great downtown St. Pete is! Guest AccessThe entire outside area is yours to enjoy while you stay here. If you want to grill some burgers, hot dogs or fresh caught fish, feel free! Although you don't have access to a full kitchen, I'll have everything you need for a cookout ready for you including plates and utensils, cups, napkins and condiments. There's plenty of room in the fridge for anything for the cookout and of course left-overs from all the great restaurants here in town. The pool area is wired for sound so you can tap into your iTunes collection while you soak up the rays. Wifi inside and out. Interaction with GuestsI'm a Realtor and I renovate and flip properties for a living so my schedule is flexible and I will be here to greet you on your arrival. You set the course for interaction. I'm a St. Pete enthusiast, know a lot about the city, it's history, and have AWESOME recommendations for restaurants, boat charters, bars, and neighborhoods to explore if you're interested. That being said--- I have a great respect for peace of mind and privacy so that is exactly what you will find when you stay here. Like I said-- you set the interaction. Although this is a new listing on AirBnB-- I am not new to vacation rentals. I had over 43 five star reviews when this property was listed on another Vacation Rental site. In fact, I've helped many people who have stayed here purchase a house because they loved St. Pete so much after their visit. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is quiet, safe and super convenient to just about anything you want to do. You're SO close to St. Pete Beach but you're not living in beach traffic. A straight shot on a one way street with timed lights will get you to our gorgeous waterfront downtown in a flash. Technically I'm in Gulfport ( a municipality of St. Petersburg) but the houses across the street are in Pasadena ( another municipality!) and 2 blocks away the houses are in St. Pete proper. 1 mile from Publix, Winn Dixie, CVS, Starbucks, bike rentals and a great organic supermaket! Shopping? The Tyrone Square Mall is only a few minutes away. The houses in my neighborhood are older-- most built in the 50's--but there are some incredible old Mediterraneans and Mid-Century modern houses sprinkled through out the streets. The beautiful campus of Stetson Law School is just a few blocks away. I love living here! Getting AroundYou can park in the front driveway or you can park in your own parking space accessed through the alley--- you're choice. There are local buses as well as a trolley that goes to downtown St. Pete, Gulfport, and the gulf beaches however a car really is a necessity. Other Things to NoteI have a dog and a cat. My dog Kava is the sweetest thing ever but how much you interact with her is entirely up to you. She rarely barks. Seriously. The last time I heard her bark was over 2 months ago. I wouldn't say it if it wasn't true. Neither will have access to your room. From the sounds of it you probably wouldn't know I even had a dog or a cat unless I told you. But there--- I just did. :) The cat's name is Emmett, BTW, and he's nothing short of awesome.
