Interaction with GuestsWe will provide guests with as much information as possible in terms of where to go, what to see, transportation, emergency contact info., etc., but will be mostly unavailable during weekdays due to our day jobs. That being said, we will do our best to accommodate our guests to the fullest. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is a great example of old Kaohsiung. The community is tight knit, with Mom and Pop shops, restaurants, tea stands and bakeries. There are plenty of convenience stores, a supermarket, and a traditional outdoor market where vendors sell fresh meat, eggs, fish, fruit, vegetables, etc. A public olympic sized swimming pool is also right around the corner from our home.
Located only a 5 minute bicycle ride away is the mountaineering entrance to Shoushan where there are hiking trails, plenty of indigenous macaque monkeys, deer, birds, and other wildlife to see. If you make it to the top there are views of the Taiwan strait. There are also a few rock climbing spots and caves off the beaten path if you're feeling adventurous. Getting AroundWe offer our guests access to three bicycles which can be used to cruise around the neighborhood, beaches, parks, etc. Taxis and buses are also available in the area. Kaohsiung also has a Public Bike program which has pick up and drop off points around town. They're cheap and accessible in most places. The closest station to our home is at the Art Museum, which is about a 10 minute walk.
