The SpaceBuilt in the 60's its quintessential wood paneled walls, acorn fireplace, formica counters, open shelving and faded linoleum floors give this home a well loved and lived in charm. The large screened in porch is great for dining, reading and napping in the hammock. The front deck is a lovely spot for morning coffee, bird watching and listening to the morning news and the back patio has a gas and charcoal grill for cooking up all the fish you'll catch in the lake! The kitchen and living room have an open floor plan with a huge window overlooking the woods and lake. This is a great area for entertaining, cooking, relaxing on the couch, or sitting by the fire. The master bedroom features a picture window that overlooks the woods and the lake. This is a wonderful room to wake up in as sun filters through the trees for a cheerful and inspiring morning. This room has a queen sized bed with a firm new mattress, an antique dresser and closet. The 2nd bedroom has a set of darling, antique single beds. Plenty of windows to enjoy a cool breeze and the sound of a babbling brook just down the hill. There is a large dresser, side table and a closet full of puzzles, games, extra blankets, etc. with enough room to hang some clothes. Our 3rd and 4th bedrooms are the most unique and fun part of the home's design. A set of bunk beds has been split into 2 narrow rooms with a small set of shelves and curtains for privacy. These small rooms are the coziest sleeping nooks and a children's haven. Many adults have been know to secretly covet the lower bunk room but be forewarned that you must be small and agile to climb into the top bunk. There is a safety railing for kids and grownups alike. The pullout couch in the living room sleeps 2 and actually has the best view of the lake in the house. We've devised a way to make the pull out far more comfy than most with the use of a stiff panels. There's a wonderful place to pitch a large tent, right off the front porch on the top of the driveway. This spot is great if you want some more privacy or are in need of additional accommodations for a couple or kids. Guest AccessThe beach is right across a private, quiet, deadend road and is very kid friendly. The sandy beach and large grassy area are great for fun activities. Our section of the boat house is loaded with beach toys, life jackets, fishing gear, floating things, croquet and other equipment. This is a rustic, adirondack experience! While this house has been packed to the gills with people and kids, please remember that it is quite small and there is only one bathroom. This is a summer cottage so amenities are limited. There is no dishwasher, no washer and dryer, no AC. This spot is about getting back to the basics and enjoying the outdoors. It's a fantastic place for hiking, swimming, boating, fishing, biking, enjoying the breathtaking scenery all around you, having fun with friends and family or retreating for a truly romantic getaway. Interaction with GuestsGuests will have total independence as this is our vacation home and family members live a few hours away. There will be phone and email contacts in the cottage to contact us for information or problems. The NeighborhoodThe cottage is less than a mile from Silver Bay Assoc. a YMCA conference center with wonderful programs and events for children and adults. You can get a short term membership or a weekend pass to be able to enjoy their many activities such as archery, boating and hiking. Please check their website for more details. There are many hiking and walking trails nearby. Other Things to NoteThe long boathouse down by the beach has equipment, boats etc. in sections designated by each owner. Our section is labeled SMITH and is the second door from the (URL HIDDEN) has paddles, life jackets, toys, and some fishing gear. All can be used...our green canoe and two person green kayak are on the beach.

Two homes one price! Enjoy 2+ acres on 325' of beautiful waterfront property. Our property is located on the northern end of Lake George with a beautiful view looking south. You'll be situated on 2 acres of prime waterfront property with 325' ft of shoreline to enjoy. There are 2 homes on this unique property which is like none other. The Big House (1st home) The main house has been used by the family for the past 60 years. Originally built and finished in 1947, it was one of the first “modern architectural designs” on the northern end of Lake George. This sprawling ranch home is sitting on a terrace about 30 feet above the water with spectacular views due South. The clear blue waters of Lake George, Heart Bay, Rogers Rock and Anthony’s Nose are all visible and many hours have been spent enjoying the views. At night the clear uncluttered skies provide exceptional views of the stars, the moon and constellations. The house was originally built as a large two bedroom summer home with one and a half baths . A recent addition adds another 2 bedrooms and full bath and partially finished basement for overflow guests. The large kitchen, dining room and living room make for great entertaining or a family gathering place. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and the second bedroom has a full and a twin bed. The addition wing consists of 2 bedrooms, a full bath, family room and kitchenette and partial finished walkout basement. One bedroom has a queen sized bed and the second has two twins. This allows for a wonderful set up for very large family gatherings or multi generation use (sleeps up to 10-13 including unfinished walkout basement with a king, double and single bed - this has always been overflow sleeping for the family). The outside is where the families spend most of the daylight hours. A huge (16x 30) flagstone patio has been added on to the original porch. There is ample room for dinner parties, cocktail parties or just sunning and lounging. The Boat House (2nd home) Located directly over the water, this is a truly one of a kind experience. This is a 100 year old, former butler’s quarter that has been turned into another home for our family's. It's quaint and rustic with the old charm associated with life in a different era. Staying here is like living in a camp from your childhood. Upstairs consists of one bedroom (queen size bed), a kitchen and a living room with futon and daybed and a bathroom with shower. Downstairs are two bedrooms and a small bathroom and shower. The bathroom is located in the first bedroom which has a queen size bed. The second bedroom is the kids room with two bunk beds featuring a full size mattress on the bottom and a twin on the top. We do limit the number of occupants to ten as not to overtax the septic. Downstairs has direct access to the dock. But no matter where you sleep you will be lulled to sleep by the sound of the water. The dock has two sides and extends out for over 100 feet from the shoreline. One side is about 20 feet wide and the other about 8 feet. This allows for plenty of room for your family and friends. There is lots of room for mooring boats and for sunbathing. The water is clear and pure and some of the best swimming in Lake George is right off the dock with a lovely sandy bottom. It’s ideal for children with a gradual increase in depth from about 3 feet deep to about 6 feet at the deep end of the dock. The SpaceEnjoy Adirondack charm without compromising on comfort. This home, built in the 90s, is very clean and well maintained. The furniture is all new, including well appointed beds for a restful night's sleep. The southern exposure, rare for Lake George homes, means you don't have to choose between inspiring sunrises in the east and dramatic sunsets in the west. The combination of the house's unique 10 foot setback from the lake and the panoramic windows in the living room, with picture perfect views of Rogers Rock, give the feeling of floating on top the of the lake without yet stepping outside. Four kayaks and life vests allow you to explore Heart Bay, Rogers Rock, and beyond. Over twenty feet of shallow, sandy swimming along the private dock is perfect for kids before it deepens for more advanced swimmers. We love this quiet northern end of Lake George and have put care and affection into this home so you'll fall in love with it, too.

You'll be sure to have a memorable vacation when you stay at our beautiful home on the northern peaceful and residential end of Lake George.
