The SpaceThe cabin sleeps 4 people. A fold-out futon bed for two people and a double bunk bed for another 2 people. The log house features an open concept with table and chairs and the couch in the living area and a closet and cabinets to provide space for your gear. Windows along two sides of the building provide for a fantastic view of the back country and “King’s Throne” summit can be viewed from the kitchen area window. The kitchen area is separated by a counter. It comes with complete kitchen equipment like pots and pans, cutlery, water containers and dishes as well as a 2 burner propane stove. There are propane lights, which you won’t need in the summer and a wood stove to heat up the cabin if need be. An outhouse serves as your bathroom facilities An earth cooler keeps your perishables and drinks in top shape. Behind the cabin a campfire setup with seats and benches and lots of firewood allows for memorable evenings outside. Guest AccessGuest have access to their own personal log cabin with deck and BBQ place behind - then all the world beyond. Interaction with GuestsThis wilderness cabin will allow the traveler to retreat into nature and solitude. We would leave our guests to explore just that. A 2 hour drive to and from the cabin can be booked by our drivers or a vehicle can be rented in Whitehorse, Yukon, which will give the guests more flexibility. We are here to help guests prepare for their stay and offer a multitude of activities around the cabin. The NeighborhoodThis is a wilderness cabin located 180km west of Whitehorse, the capital of Yukon, Canada. Your closet village with gas stations, bank, post office and restaurants as well as a liquor store is 25 km from the cabin location. Otherwise you will find yourselves surrounded by the +22.000 square km of the world-famous Kluane National Park, featuring grizzly and black bears, wolves, moose, beavers and eagles in their untamed and untouched natural habitat. Kluane National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site, holds Canada's biggest mountain and the earth's largest non-polar ice field within one of the greatest protected area in North America. A short walk from the Alaska-bound Haines Highway you will find ample space around the cabin and endless wilderness right behind it. Forested trails and grassy meadows, not only invite moose, coyotes, bears and other native inhabitants, but will lead you into some amazing, untouched northern back country. Deep blue Kathleen Lake, the high country of St. Elias Mountain Range, and the remote valleys of the Cottonwood Pass are only minutes away. The cabin comfortably sleeps 4 people. A fold-out futon bed and a bunk bed with three bunks however may accommodate 5 people. We will supply you with water canisters and bed linen as well as towels for the kitchen and liners for the sleeping bags that are in inside the cabin. Right behind the cabin a campfire setup with log seats and benches and firewood allows for memorable evenings outside. A wilderness retreat with comforts. Located 160 km west of Whitehorse (Yukon's Capital) at the foothills of most famous Kluane National Park. A UNESCO world heritage site this +22.000 square kilometer large National Park hosts not only Canada's tallest mountain, Mount Logan with nearly 6.0000 meters, but also the largest non-polar ice field on this planet. Completely protected and very much isolated this wildlife refuge is home to the healthiest grizzly population of North America and offers habitat to many other species such as wolf, lynx, black bear, dall sheep, and uncountable feathered friends. Your cabin lies only minutes away from one of the trail heads into this amazing back country. Within few kilometers you reach many of the other trail heads into this famous national park. Your are on your own, the cabin is self supported and has no neighbors closer than 8 km, the next village, Haines Junction being 25 km away.     The SpaceYakutat is great for outdoor lovers. Fishing is some of the best! Hiking, from beaches to mountain and glaciers. Boats, skiffs, kayaks and other boats are available to rent or charter in town. Wonderful little cabin is close to everything. It looks rough on the outside but is nice, clean and cozy inside. Cabin is on the upper floor and has a deck to sit and enjoy. Walking distance to the stores. Local hiking trails and beaches. Rental cars available in town. There are 2 beautiful gray outdoor cats that live on the property, they are very friendly and enjoy visiting. Interaction with GuestsWe will be there to greet you and meet at check-in. We will also be there at checkout time but other then that you will have the house and property to yourselves. The NeighborhoodThe cabin is located in a quiet residential area within walking distance to the stores. Getting AroundLocal hiking trails and beaches. Rental cars available in town.         The SpaceWe operate a cozy 5 bedroom Bed and Breakfast. When booking this property understand you are purchasing a single room or multiple rooms. Our Lodge hosts are always on site and will be cooking you breakfast in the mornings of your stay. This is not an entirely private propety, there may or may not be other guests at the lodge during your stay. We have one bedroom that offers direct access to our back patio, two queen size beds, a private bathroom, and a gorgeous view of Monti Bay, this is called our "Bear Den Suite". We also have our 'Moose Tracks' room on our main floor that has a single queen size bed and shared access to the bathroom on the main floor. Our Eagles nest is our loft style room over looking the living room with two twin beds, this room shares a bathroom with the Moose Tracks room on the main floor. Down stairs we have the Steelhead and Wolfe Den rooms that both feature Two full size beds and share the same downstairs bathroom. Guest AccessWe allow guests to use our full kitchen which features a farm style deep sink, five burner gas range, an indoor gas grill, a gas operated oven, and a full refrigerator to store food if you have brought some for your stay. We also offer to store your fresh caught fish as well as fillet, vacuum seal, freeze, and store your fish until you depart. We have a shared living room with a TV that is shared amongst guests.         Right at the feet of famous Kluane National Park, this cozy log cabin is nestled between spruce trees and cotton woods. A short walk from the Alaska-bound Haines Highway you will find ample space around the cabin and endless wilderness right behind it. Forested trails and grassy meadows, not only invite moose, coyotes, bears and other native inhabitants, but will lead you into some amazing, untouched northern back country. Deep blue Kathleen Lake, the high country of St. Elias Mountain Range, and the remote valleys of the Cottonwood Pass are only minutes away. The cabin comfortably sleeps 4 people. A fold-out futon bed and a bunk bed with three bunks however may accommodate 5 people. The log cabin sports an open concept with table and chairs, shelves and cabinets to provide lots of space for your gear. Windows along two sides provide for a fantastic view of the back country and "King's Throne" summit. The kitchen area is partly separated by a counter from the living area. It comes with all the necessary kitchen equipment such as pots and pans, cutlery, water containers and dishes as well as a 2 burner propane stove. There are propane lights, which you won't need in the summer and a wood stove to heat up the cabin if need be. A cozy outhouse serves as your bathroom facility. An earth cooler keeps your perishables and drinks in top shape, as there is no hydro and no running water at the cabin. We will supply you with water canisters and bed linen as well as towels for the kitchen and liners for the sleeping bags that are in inside the cabin. Right behind the cabin a campfire setup with log seats and benches and firewood allows for memorable evenings outside.
