    The SpaceThree bedroom artist's home a five minute walk from the beach... three bedrooms each with a queen bed. Large living room with couch. Front and back yard and Buddha patio. This unique home is filled with art in every room. Sudan, the resident cat, will keep you company. One of the best things about the house is that it is only a five minute walk to the beach, and a half an hour drive from San Francisco. Less than a mile away from the quaint historic downtown of Half Moon Bay... There are many fantastic restaurants in the area, including fresh fish down at Princeton Harbor where you can also go kayaking or try stand up paddle boarding in the breakwater. Hiking is bountiful, Montara Mountain, only seven miles away, has views at the top from San Francisco, East Bay, and the south coast. For surfers or fisherman, this is the place to come, we have plenty of both. The coastal trail is great for bike riding... feel free to use the bikes in the garage. Bikes are in the garage. Other Things to NoteWiFi code is laslunas. It's ok to to put the cat out if she bothers you. (Mine is the pink and gray cat, the black and white ones live next door!) There are tenants living in the detached garage. Please be mindful of them when you use the laundry room or are in the driveway.

I handcrafted a full size bed from old growth redwood collected from local beaches. Flat screen tv with Roku (wide selection of movies), wifi, mini fridge in room and private bathroom. Guests have access to kitchen and bathroom. I meet with all guests and answer any questions regarding their stay and there surrounding area. Walking distance to many beaches along the coast. 10 minutes from coastal redwood forest. Walking distance to historic downtown Half Moon Bay, which includes a variety of boutiques, art galleries and mediocre (yes I meant to write that) dining. Can walk to most places, or there is public transportation... bus stops conveniently located near home. Room for bicycle storage if you bring them, and ample parking for your vehicles. Oh yes -- and we often have fresh eggs from our beautiful hens! Interaction with GuestsI am usually here to greet guests, and since I live in the house when it's not rented, it is equipped with many additional "homey" condiments, amenities, etc. Depending on my work schedule, I leave town once guests have arrived, or I sometimes stay in a studio on the property. If I am not here, there is a caretaker on site who can answer any questions. There two other tenants, but you will most likely not see them at all. Your privacy is important and will not be compromised. The NeighborhoodI live 5 minutes from the beach and town but it feels like miles away. We have 1/2 acre and neighbors have 40-100 acres, mostly eucalyptus trees and hills for hiking. Getting AroundYou will need a car to stay here. Public transport is not convenient and the closest is comes to the house is 2 miles. Other Things to NotePlease do not approach Chico-our rescue dog from Mexico. He is afraid of strangers. I'll introduce you if you want! Cell service is sketchy depending on your provider. I do have a land line for you -- and let me know if you have ATT. I can add your number to my booster. There is always coffee and tea! One of my tenants is a wonderful massage therapist (who works at the Ritz Carlton). She offers massages to guests if she is available.       The SpaceOur house is perfect for kids since we have toys, books, climbing structure, trampoline, etc in a gated safe backyard. We have a piano if you like to play. This is our home. We have room for multiple cars in the driveway. Guest AccessOur home is your home. You may use our bikes, scooters, and other toys. We have a guest room that is not connected to the house which is a nice fourth bedroom and has a bunk bed in it if you would like more places to sleep. The only thing we ask you do not use are our surfboards. (If I am home I will likely let you borrow some good beginner boards if you want to have a go. We actually have a surf camp part of the summer and teach surfing) Interaction with GuestsThis depends when you are here. We are offering our house while my wife and kids are in Germany. I will be here much of the time. We have an Airstream Trailer next to the house where I will stay. When I am not here, my Mother will be around - she lives a block away. She will come over to feed the animals (unless you would prefer to do it yourself) I look forward to telling you our favorite places to eat, escape down the coast, etc. We also have a surf camp in the summer for our students. If you would like and I am around I could provide surf instruction for you and your family (for an extra fee). Please note the following: There are no phones or televisions in our rooms. All our rooms are outfitted queen sized mattresses and 400 thread count sheets. Our rooms have been around for 105 years, and the bar is loud. Our beds and bedding are not 105 years old. In fact our beds are quite comfortable and might even make you a little jealous when you get back home. Again: our Inn is 100+ years old and not for light sleepers (noise travels).
