Comfy cushions are provided - it is a pleasant place to sit while having that morning coffee or afternoon tea.
There is also a clothesline to the back left of the unit which you are welcome to use for your swimsuits and beach towels. Interaction with GuestsWe expect to meet you on the day of your arrival to show you around and answer any questions you may have.
We live in the downstairs unit so we are available if you ever need any assistance, guidance or just want to share your Island experience. The NeighborhoodWe live in an urban neighbourhood where you can glimpse the daily lives of the average Bermudian - some of the characters are colorful but we are a friendly people, typically respectful of others' privacy. We are easily engaged, will readily offer guidance and are quite proud of our heritage and our Island Home. Getting AroundWhile nowhere is far in Bermuda, we are about 20 minutes away from the beaches by taxi and 40 minutes by bus (including the walk to the bus depot).
We are a 10-15 minute walk to Hamilton where the main bus depot is, which dispatches buses to the entire Island. You can also reach the ferry terminal in about 10-15 minutes, which dispatches ferries to points around the Hamilton Harbour as well as to the Royal Navy Dockyard.
If you know where you want to go, we are a 5 minute walk to the bus stop which will take you to the east of the Island and a 7 minute walk to the bus stop which will take you to the west.
Mopeds are available for rent but we would only recommend them to those with long experience riding motorized bicycles.
Taxis can be hired for the odd trip or a driver can be secured to be available for you whenever needed during your stay.
We can arrange for you to be collected from the airport upon arrival as well as returning you there for your flight back home. Other Things to NoteThe Bermuda courts mete out severe penalties for drug possession (even for personal use & in small quantities) and firearms & ammunition are strictly prohibited as well. Medical marijuana use is considered a criminal offense, prosecutable by Law.
While most people you encounter in Bermuda will genuinely be friendly and caring, as with most places, there are a few folks who will look for trouble. Always be aware of your surroundings and if your instincts tell you "no", listen!
