The SpaceWhen the early morning fog lifts we can see the water of Cockburn sound and Garden Island - from the front porch. The house is situated next to a gorgeous park in a quiet street with lots of trees, native bushes and an abundance of bird life. The pretty back garden allows you to seat with a drink or a meal. There is a BBQ for cooking and safe, free parking outside. The bedroom is a clean, comfortable room with wooden floor, double bed and appropriate furniture. A/C, etc.... The post office and food outlets are close by. By bus or by car, you are 5 min. away from the beach and 10min. from the lovely town of Fremantle with its markets, restaurants and fisherman's harbour. We are easy going with Marie, teaching French, Carl painting professionally oils and water colour. You are welcome to use his studio /Gallery, join his classes even if you wish. We like to ride our bikes along the beaches and like the life style and we love to meet foreign people. Because of our background (French, Dutch) we speak several languages and we would like to meet you.

May suit a couple short term or one parent/child - but that must be negotiated before booking is made. Older children (2) and cats (2). Shared bathroom. Wireless internet for email and social media etc only. 15 years hosting experience with international students. The house is 5 bedrooms with one living/TV area and dining area. The 511/513 bus stops are 100 metres away and both buses run between Fremantle train station and Murdoch train station, both of which trains take you into Perth City. We are only a few minutes drive from the beach and from Fremantle. I have worked in Jamaica and overseas as a chef, so can make any kind of food you like. We are healthy eaters as much as possible (except for the great local fish n chips!) If you have kids, or there is more than one of you, please make an inquiry as I take people on a case by case basis. There is a minimum booking of one night. A longer stay may be arranged once we have seen how we get along. Guest AccessFull use of laundry. Shared bathroom. Interaction with GuestsDepends on the amount of interaction that the guest requires. As little or as much as you like! There's also a full kitchen for you to access and a spacious, clean and fresh bathroom for you to use (we even supply you with luxurious towels!). The loungeroom also features a beautiful wood fireplace ~ 2 Rear decks to lounge about on ~ Room is equipped with ceiling fan for the warmer months and heater for the cooler months ~ The room is very spacious for all of your luggage and there is a robe with hangers and shelves available if you'd like to make your stay really comfortable We both work full-time and also run businesses outside of work hours. We love to interact with our guests though and whenever time (and you) permits, we love to hang out and listen to travel stories and even show you around! Hilton is a gorgeous suburb just 10 minutes on the bus from Fremantle and 40 minutes on the bus from Perth CBD. Hilton is really quiet and tranquil with a relaxed, bohemian vibe about it. Fremantle is where we love to spend our time so we're more than happy to recommend things for you to see, places for you to eat etc. There's a bus stop about a 2 minute walk from the house. One side of the road will take you into the CBD, the other side of the road will take you into Fremantle. We don't have very much space in our front yard but there is definitely room for you to park a car if you have one. We two puppies who we absolutely adore. We understand that there are people out there who don't like dogs but if you're one of those people, then unfortunately our home isn't for you. Tiger and Mabel sleep and eat outside but are generally wandering around the house if we are home. Guest AccessGuests will have access to all common areas of the house. Our master bedroom and studio is just for us though Interaction with GuestsWe are travellers too so if we are around then we love to share stories and get to know you! Sometimes we do lead very hectic lives so you might not see us that often but we are always available via telephone if you have any questions. And of course, if you wish for some privacy and don't feel up to interacting, we're okay with that too. :) The NeighborhoodAs per Wikipedia: The suburb has an eclectic mixture of weatherboard, fibro and brick dwellings. The suburb is undergoing extensive urban renewal and recently more 3 and 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom homes have been built. Its post-World War II design was under a state government initiative known as "garden suburbs" which meant wide verges and single homes on large blocks. The northern precinct of Hilton contains a number of laneways and the village centre (on the north side of South Street) comprising a greengrocer, a butcher, a hair salon, a cafe, a post office and a liquor merchant. South Street, Paget Street and Carrington Street contain most of the remaining retail activity in Hilton, including a public bar, a supermarket, an Indian restaurant, a pizzeria and a solar product retail shop. Hilton is approximately five minutes drive from central business district of Fremantle and from the Indian Ocean. ~ our home is about a 5 minute walk to one supermarket and a 10 minute walk to another. There are parks dotted around the suburb too. Getting AroundWe have space for you to park a car or there is very easy public transport access at the end of our street. The route 160 will go in one direction to Fremantle, and in the other direction to Perth city. Other Things to NoteWe have 2 puppies who we just adore. We understand that there are people out there who don't like dogs but if you're one of those people, then unfortunately our home isn't for you. Tiger and Mabel sleep and eat outside but are generally wandering around the house if we are home. Please also note that we will forward travel information on how to get here 1 week prior to your stay, and no sooner. This is for security reasons and to ensure that everyone is advised consistently and no one is missed.
