The SpaceRecently awarded a 4 Star Gold rating by Visit England, The Old Coach House is a lovely detached cottage, originally built over 200 years ago. It still retains some of the original beams within the present design of the cottage. There is a beautiful secluded and peaceful garden with a patio and outside dining area, providing lots of space for relaxing and entertaining with your family and friends. The holiday cottage has a modern kitchen, newly refurbished bathrooms and a spacious dining room with original fireplace. Overlooking the garden is a pretty and cosy living room with doors and windows providing easy access to the patio and lawn.
On the first floor the main double bedroom is garden facing with en-suite bathroom. A further double bedroom is situated at the front of the cottage and there is a third bedroom with twin beds at the side of the cottage. The principal bedroom has a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom, the second bedroom has a double bed and the third bedroom has two single beds.
All the bedroom furniture is new and there is also new bedroom storage and carpets. A further bathroom is available with an over bath shower and all bathrooms are newly refurbished including the downstairs cloakroom which has ample space for storing outside coats and footwear.
The beds and pillows are all protected with hyper-allergenic materials and the duvets are luxurious feather and down in the double bedrooms, and hyper-allergenic duvets are provided in the twin bedroom. For your comfort, alternative hyper-allergenic duvets are available on request in the double bedrooms. The beds are made up with high quality 250 thread count bed linen and have lightweight throws to maintain a comfortable bedroom temperature.
The bedrooms all have black-out roman blinds and comfortable soft furnishings and we have endeavored to maintain the cottage's period features where possible. We hope that you will enjoy the peaceful colours of the bedrooms and enjoy a pleasant and restful nights sleep whilst staying at the cottage. A newly refurbished family bathroom is also on the first floor. There is a further WC on the ground floor. Free off-street parking is situated next the property.
All of the bedrooms have black out blinds, towels, hairdryers and hand soap. Room fans are available as required.
A welcome of groceries awaits your visit, comprising of bread, jam, eggs, butter, tea, coffee and milk (food intolerances are catered for!) There are various books and games to enjoy, and also a regularly updated display board of local restaurants and activities. The cottage is accessed by its own front door, located in a pretty courtyard. A side door gives further access to the kitchen and a patio door gives easy access to a substantial garden at the rear of the cottage. There is also private parking in the small attached drive.
For your comfort and convenience, an additional ground floor double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and disabled access is planned for early 2017. The NeighborhoodThe cottage is excellently located and is within walking distance (1 mile) of a local Waitrose, railway station and Hampton Court Palace. Hampton Village offers a number of interesting local shops and cafes, only moments (250 yards) from the cottage. The historic town of Richmond Upon Thames (20 minute drive) offers excellent shopping, wonderful restaurants and enjoyable walks in Richmond Park. The deer and wild birds are particularly magnificient and can be seen in the nearby Royal Parks throughout the year. Bushy Park is just steps from the cottage and boasts beautiful plantations and enclosures, historic water gardens and boating ponds in fantastic natural surroundings. There are also excellent opportunities to browse in the many antique and curiosity shops situated adjacent to Hampton Court Palace, followed by a coffee break or lunch in the eclectic mix of fashionable cafes, restaurants and pubs. Getting AroundHampton can be easily accessed by road, via the M25 and A3, Heathrow Airport 20 minutes and Gatwick Airport 45 minutes or rail via Clapham Junction. Hampton Court railway station is just 35 minutes from London Waterloo - calling at Vauxhall, Clapham Junction, Earlsfield, Wimbledon, Raynes Park, New Malden, Berrylands, Surbiton and Thames Ditton before arriving at Hampton Court. Parking is available at the station or you can walk there in 15 minutes (or 5 minute bus ride). Alternatively Hampton Station is just 10 minutes walk and is 40 minutes from London Waterloo. If during your holiday you wish to venture further afield, the coast is just one hour away by car. There are also many National Trust properties, RHS Gardens, historic houses and homes, churches and villages that willl provide a wide variety of interest and activities for you to enjoy during your stay in the cottage with easy access by car. There is a local nine hole golf club, David Lloyd Gym and Spa, Virgin Gym and bicycle hire and local public tennis courts are available in Hampton Village too. Other Things to Note"The cottage is just minutes to Hampton Court, the River Thames & easy access to London. A welcome pack of bread butter jam eggs milk tea coffee sugar & juice will be ready to welcome you when you arrive. Many seasonal events take place locally including the Hampton Court Music Festival, Palace Ghost Tours and Ice Skating at Christmas, Summer and Spring Fayres and Cultural Exhibitions. Although of course you can always simply just switch off from the world and enjoy walking in the Royal Parks and relaxing in the peaceful cottage environment with your friends and family if you prefer.
