We are 4 blocks from Historic Hannibal's donwtown and The River. We are surrounded by other lovely Bed & Breakfasts as well as many other historic homes. Getting AroundThere is plenty of parking on-street either in front of the Inn or to the side. Other Things to NoteThe Belvedere Inn is occupied by two very large dogs. There is Gracie – our 6 year old rescued Newfoundland weighing in at 120 and George, our Golden Retriever, weighing in at 106. They will nag you for petting, but you will not have to sleep with either of them! If you do not like dogs or are allergic to them, we are more than happy to guide you to a lovely hotel or B & B that will make your stay in Hannibal an enjoyable one.
There is no smoking in the house. But, from time to time my pesky husband Bob will sneak a cigar on the porches which is where you may smoke as well.
Red Wine! I love it but sheets, towels and duvet covers do not. I thought we should have a policy that if you spill on the linens you will be charged for their replacement. Several friends thought that red wine should be ok in all the rooms of the house except bedrooms. Either way – help me out here and be careful with that stuff. Feedback and experience from you will eventually determine where we land on this issue.
Each bed is furnished with two down pillows & a down comforter. If you are allergic to down, please let me know in advance so that your comfort can be assured.
Non ADA accessible: The Belvedere Inn has several flights of stairs, and no elevator, so lighter luggage is recommended. The Inn was built circa 1859 and therefore is not handicapped accessible. There are twenty steep stairs between each floor of the house so get your walking shoes ready.
Refrigerator: There is a guest fridge on the 2nd floor. Use it for water, pop, wine, etc. If it gets too full, see me for storage in the kitchen. We will provide stickers for each room so you will be able to keep track of your own items.
