The SpaceThis is my primary residence and my home has 3 guest bedrooms, two on the first floor (Joy and Wish Rooms) and a third (Lighthouse Room), up a steep staircase on the second floor. Both the Joy and Wish Room have wall-to-wall carpeting and the Lighthouse Room has refinished hardwood floors. Wireless connectivity throughout, with cable TV in the Joy Room. I also rent my carriage house under "Sara's Carriage House" and my nephew's landscaping business is also run out of the outbuildings. Guest AccessGuests have exclusive use of the 1st floor bathroom and can also use the seasonal, spacious outside shower that has both HOT and cold water. Guests also may use the living room, dining room, seasonal sun-room and brick patio area. I rent to only 1 party at a time from 1-5 people and I reside mainly on second floor. Interaction with GuestsI like to meet with my guests at check in, get them situated and answer any questions they may have. Then may see them in the morning or when they return at the end of the day. The NeighborhoodMy home is situated on the south side of Route 28 (aka Main Street), which is the original road running parallel to Nantucket Sound. This is a busy road. There are several other interesting antique homes in the area and we are mid-way between 2 roads (Julien and Deep Hole), that travel south to Red River Beach. Getting AroundThe Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority's H2O route travels past our home and will connect you to Hyannis and Orleans. This method of transport is very slow, so please check schedule online. The seasonal Freedom Ferry to Natucket is only 1/2 mile away. Other Things to NoteThere are 2 homes on my property and this listing is for the main house in the front, which has a porch numbered 825 on white column by steps. Park in front of white fence in back and enter through the gate. Carriage house is set back and has a plaque that indicates address as 825 Rear. I have a separate Airbnb listing for this house as well. Also, 2 motels in the area for extra guests are The Coachman and Handkerchief Shoals. I may be able to refer you to other airbnb hosts in the area with availability, so please ask.

The NeighborhoodReally lovely area of fine homes, very quaint. The Beach is one block from the stores and restaurants and two blocks from the cottage. There is a bike trail that goes from Dennis to Chatham to Wellfleet! Centrally located to upper and lower cape destinations such as Woods hole and Provincetown. Getting AroundPublic transfer. Also buses to Boston, Logan airport. Other Things to NoteThe cottage is an extension of our home, please treat it kindly and leave the cottage as you found it.

The SpaceOur pretty summer cottage is located in a historic area of summer homes that date back to the turn of the century. Called the "Campgrounds" and "Oak Grove", generations families have vacationed here in a neighborhood known its sandy beaches on Nantucket Sound and for the warm ocean water and low-key seaside living. Harwich Port is a charming village, just a 5 minute walk to good food and shops. The cottage has 3 bedrooms with twin beds in each, and sleeps 6. There is one bathroom which has a bathtub, THERE IS NO INDOOR SHOWER. THE ONLY SHOWER IS AN ENCLOSED HOT WATER OUTSIDE SHOWER - Cape Cod style! See photo of outdoor shower in the photo gallery. There is no air conditioning or central heating. The cool ocean breezes keep the cottage comfortable in summer and a gas floor heater and bedroom electric heaters take any chill off the house on cooler days in spring and fall. We have FOUR adult sized bikes and helmets so you can explore the neighborhood and the Cape Cod Rail Trial nearby. A bike rack is included if you want to travel to another area of the Cape to bike. For example, you could drive to Provincetown and bike around the gorgeous Cape Cod National Seashore trails of the outer Cape. Or, join the locals, and just bike around charming, historic Provincetown. We have both a gas grill and charcoal grill - you decide how you prefer to do your outside cooking! Guest AccessThe whole house and yard is yours! Interaction with GuestsI probably won't be there to meet you in person, but I am available by email and cell phone on a moment's notice and would be happy to offer any tips or advice about visiting the Cape. There is a guest cottage on the corner of the property, with occasionally a separate tenant. The yard is yours to use exclusively and there is a nice patio, with table and chairs, and your choice of gas or charcoal grills. The NeighborhoodIt's historic, friendly, safe, and family-oriented, but also perfect for couples! NOT appropriate for loud parties. Getting AroundA car is the easiest way to explore Cape Cod beyond the immediate are of Harwich Port. However, it is still possible to see the sights without a car. There is a bus shuttle that runs up and down the Cape - all the way to Provincetown - and the fare is only a couple of dollars! We have four good bikes available for you to use, helmets, and a bike rack and a network of beautiful bike trails is nearby. Consider combining your visit to Cape Cod with a stay in the Cambridge-Boston area. Check out my other listing for a lovely 2 bedroom in Cambridge, Massachusetts on my profile page. Other Things to NoteThere are detailed instructions in the house (regarding cable TV, internet, etc.) and also several guidebooks to the area for your use. You can park your cars along the tall fence on the back of the property on Central Ave. and also in the parking space right in front of the converted garage on the corner of the property, accessible from Central Ave. Linens and towels are provided, as well as beach chairs and beach umbrellas. You can make up the beds you are going to use with the clean sheets located in the bathroom closet. The cottage rents for $2000 - $ 2100 per week from Saturday to Saturday in the summer season, which is from end of June through Labor Day. There is a reduced rated for early and mid- June and for September and October. Rentals can be made for minimum of 2 nights in spring and fall.

The SpaceThis spacious cottage is within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, and shopping, yet has a secluded feel -- surrounded by trees and with a huge lawn. This is an ideal rental for two families. Each wing of the house has two bedrooms connected by a bathroom. In each wing there is one bedroom with a king bed while the other has two twins. The spacious kitchen and living/dining area are in the middle, affording each wing privacy and quiet. An enclosed brick porch runs the entire length of the cottage. Outside shower. Patio with BBQ. TV room off living room. Weekly rentals are Saturday-Saturday. Can be flexible off-season. I live next door and enjoy meeting tenants and helping them to feel at home. The SpaceOur Harwich Port cottage is centrally located and steps away from it all. Bank St. Beach is a 2/10 mile walk away and an array of restaurants & shops are at your fingertips. Our cottage will be home base for your great summer on the Cape. There are 5 cottages in our complex and we share a very spacious common yard. Please note that we are a SATURDAY- SATURDAY rental. Even though the cottage is on a main road (Route 28) it is very private. Plenty of parking is available in our lot. Harwich Port is a great place to vacation. Featured in Coastal Living as one of America's happiest seaside towns. Plenty of great restaurants, ice cream shops and adorable shops. Something for everyone. Centrally located on the Cape, one is able to visit other sought out areas such as the National Seashore or Nauset Beach. The surrounding Cape is known for its beautiful bay and ocean beaches, nature and bike trails, and summer Cape Cod league baseball games known all over the US. Whale watching and deep sea fishing are very popular on the Cape. Also, just a short ferry ride away are Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. You will need a car to get around the Cape. However, our location allows you just to park your car in our lot and walk to town and Bank Street beach. Rentals are Saturday -Saturday. A refundable security deposit of $200, cleaning fee of $100 are required. Check in is at 3PM and check out is 10AM. NO SMOKING. The SpaceIt is extremely private and idyllic with access to a large private beach on Nantucket Sound. The water is warm for swimming and the tides are never dangerous. There are 8 bedrooms in total, 4 bedrooms have queen size beds, 3 have 2 twin beds and one has 1 twin bed. - 4 queen beds - 7 single beds The kitchen is fully equipped. There is both an eat in kitchen area with limited seating and a more expansive dining-room area with a butlers pantry connecting the two. There are separate living room areas within the house for quiet space and entertaining. Guest AccessThe whole house, large grounds (3 acres) and a private beach. Guests are not able to access the garage nor a storage room. Both are kept locked. Interaction with Guestsn/a The NeighborhoodExtremely quiet, private road and within walking distance to the best ice-cream shop on The Cape. Getting AroundCar advisable, however close to the bike trail. Other Things to NoteThis is a traditional cape house, built in the 1930's. It has been kept in the tradition in which it was built as a summer retreat with a few modern amenities.

          Our cottage is located on Ocean Avenue at the corner of Ocean Ave. and Park St.. Ocean Ave. is off of Lower County Rd. on the ocean side of Lower County Rd.. Central Ave. runs along the back of the property. Walk to the beach in just a couple of minutes!This is our pretty family- owned cottage, called the "Cape Codder", with original features and charm is located on a fenced in lot with lovely flowers and shrubs. You are just a few steps from a wide Nantucket Sound beach (700 feet down a quiet road - less than a two minute walk), where the beach is sandy and the water warm - a safe beach for young children to play and swim. Harwichport Village , with its shops and restaurants, is just a short walk away. House has charming sun porch, dining room, living room, eat-in kitchen, 3 bedrooms, one bathroom with bathtub (OUTDOOR SHOWER ONLY), washer and dryer in basement, dishwasher, cable TV, wireless internet, enclosed outdoor shower. Originally a Methodist summer retreat of tents and small cottages in the 1800s, the Campgrounds is a unique community of quaint cottages (and some new) located right on beautiful Nantucket Sound. Our cottage is on the ocean side of Lower County Road, which means that the two minute walk to the beach is on a quiet road and does not require crossing any busy streets. Children freely play in this neighborhood and ride their bikes up and down the small streets. Harwich Port Village is just a pleasant five minute walk, and it features several excellent restaurants and small shops. Our favorites include the Mason Jar (for fabulous sandwiches and clam chowder that is the best in New England), Bonatts (or huge breakfasts and the famous "Meltaway" pastry), and the Sea Grill (for a special dinner in a charming setting). Don't miss Sativa, a beautiful shop with unique jewelry and gifts! Plan a day trip to Nantucket and catch the ferry in Harwich Port! Pick up the beautiful Cape Cod Rail Trail in Harwich center and ride to Chatham Village and beyond to the upper Cape towns, including Provincetown. Use the two adult size bikes we have for guests. Cloudy day with kids? There is plenty to do - miniature golfing, the bumper boats, the trampolines, the go-carts - all nearby. Catch a whale watch, or day fishing trip, or a boat tour around Monomoy Island. And if you talk to the neighbors, you will discover that this is a neighborhood in which generations of families have returned every summer, to enjoy the family -friendly environment and easy summer living!
