The SpaceGreat location. Entirely modern. Fully lived-in home. You will have all the conveniences the hotels lack without compromise on location. 10% of profits will be donated to charity. Airbnb helps us meet our social obligations and helps us with our own holiday fund. Walking distance to all major Sydney destinations - 3 min to Chinatown, 5 min to Darling hbr, 10 to Central Station, 10 to the CBD, 15 to Star Casino, 20 to Pitt street Westfield and 30 to the Opera house. Our house is a renovated terrace, kid friendly (cot available), small but cosy and unbeatable location. We have beds for 6 but it would be a tight fit with only 1 full bathroom plus a toilet downstairs. I'd say better suited to 5 but it will/and has fit 6 no problems. This is our home so it will have everything you need, including fast WiFi and a complete kitchen. We have a 2 year old, so we have everything you need for an infant, so you can travel light - contact us if you need more info on prams etc. While we hope people use our kitchen, it's Sydney, so there are tons of awesome food options - some nearby favourites are, Chat Thai in Thai town, Mamak's on Goulburn st, Made in Italy in Pyrmont, Lush Bucket and Quarry St cafe for awesome coffee, and Zumbo at the Star Casino for desserts - all these and many more are just around the corner. Anyway, if you book with us we'll leave you a list of good places to see, eat and do! We love hiking - and Central station and trains to a number of great destinations are nearby. If you're from Australia and a member of Goget - there are two cars directly outside our house. Parking is hard. We get an annual allocation of passes so let us know before you complete your booking if you need some so we can either set some aside or let you know they aren't available. **because we will donate 10% proceeds to charity we do not ordinarily offer discounts. Guest AccessWe have everything relatively normal people use in the course of a day (as we do actually live here). You have access to all of it during your stay. No need to bring sheets/towels, hairdryer etc its all here. Please check if you need parking as we have limited access to passes and will allocate on request depending on how many we have from our annual allotment. Interaction with GuestsI usually answer emails within a few hours (depending on whether we are still in the country or have gone OS). Im happy to offer any advice or answer any questions. There is always someone to call in a pinch as my sister and mum both live within a few blocks. I usually don't meet the guests unless they would like to. I'm happy to grab a coffee with you if I'm around but just as happy for you to pretend I don't exist. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is close to so many things. It is an affordable cab ride to anywhere but you hardly need a cab when public transport is right on your door step. Its a surprisingly family friendly place with access to awesome facilities in Darling Harbour, Ian Thorpe Aquatic Center, The Powerhouse Museum and a park every few blocks. Getting AroundWe don't drive ourselves but we have a visitors parking pass for guests who do. We get by on a combination of public transport, bicycles and goget car share. Its very well connected with its proximity to George street and Central station.

The SpaceOur one bedroom apartment is located in one of the best locations around Darling Harbour and Chinatown. You can walk to anywhere around central Sydney City from here! The apartment is located inside a serviced hotel but independently operated and not serviced daily for those enjoy a home like experience in the city. There is a ensuite bathroom with a shower, toilet and bathtub. In the living room, there is a new leather double sofa bed for those extra guests. The fully equipped kitchen and dining is separate from the living area and has a new washer/dryer included so there are no additional laundry fees. Free wireless Internet is included for your convenience. There are buses, light rail and trains all very close if you do not wish to walk too far. Parking can be arranged within the complex at an additional cost. Strictly a non-smoking apartment. Please note that check out time is 11am and penalties may apply for late check out. Whilst the apartment borders Darling Harbour and Chinatown you will have the touch choices of many varieties of Restaurants. Walk 150 metres to the left takes you to the main street of Sydney (George Street) and World Square. To the left of the building, the rooftop overlooks the whole of Darling Harbour and Chinatown Gardens and the newly constructed Exhibition Centres to the beautiful waterways of Darling Harbour into Sydney Harbour. Diagonally located to the apartment is the demolished site of the Sydney Entertainment Centre. It's virtually central to everywhere in the city of Sydney. Getting AroundGetting around in the area has all types of transportation facilities at your fingertips. Outside the building is the Taxi Cab Rank. Walk 150 metres to George Street gives you access to all the Sydney bus routes. Trams are also a short walk outside Market City. Most travellers don't mind a short stroll around the city. Other Things to NoteMost of Sydney's Tourist Attractions in Darling Harbour such as Sydney Sea Life Aquarium and Wildlife as well as Madam Tausade's as well as IMAX, The Star Casino are all less than 10 minutes walk from the apartment.

The NeighborhoodDarling Harbour is a modern leisure area on the waterfront to the west of the city. It was developed in the 1980's from a previous dockland region. There are plenty of shops within the wonderful Harbourside shopping complex,with restaurants lining the beautiful waters edge. An ideal place to laze the day away.The Australian Maritime Museum, Chinese Garden of Friendship, Panasonic IMAX Theatre, Powerhouse Museum, an Outback Centre, Star City, the Sydney Aquarium and the Sydney Art Gallery are all located within Darling Harbour. The Australia National Maritime Museum tells the maritime history, and has boats you can explore. Between 10.00am - 3.00pm you can even join a free guided tour, or if you are feeling adventurous join a cruise or take sailing lessons. The Powerhouse Museum present informative displays about history, science and technology of Australia. It is open from 10.00am - 5.00pm and is situated behind the Sydney Exhibition Centre. Darling HarbourDarling Harbour also features the new Sydney Art Gallery housing a magnificent display of Australian artwork, and is open daily between 9.00am - 5.00pm. Sydney Aquarium has wonderful exhibitions as well as underwater tunnels where you can view various fish from all different parts of Australia. If you'd prefer to relax the Chinese Garden of Friendship is a tranquil and beautiful setting with traditional Chinese gardens. Alternatively choose the amazing Panasonic IMAX Theatre which presents various 2D and 3D films. Of an evening head to Star City which is home to the large Sydney Casino. It also features 2 theatres, a nightclub, a hotel, a fitness centre and plenty of shopping outlets and restaurants. It is in Pyrmont to the Northwest of Darling Harbour. Opposite the harbourside is a new eating and drinking area called Cockle Bay Wharf which also offers great nightlife. There is a full range of stylish restaurants, al fresco cafes, bars and clubs. Cockle Bay Wharf has life and atmosphere during the day and the evening, and is a great place to simply relax amongst friends. Darling Harbour also hosts some fabulous Water Screen displays during the evening, which are a magnificent blend of music and laser images projected onto water fountains. These are held from Wednesday to Sunday on the half hour (depending on the season and weather). The wonderful and colourful Paddy's Markets are also held near Darling Harbour on the corner of Hay and Thomas Streets, every Thursday - Sunday. Nearby is also the Sydney Fish Market where there is definitely plenty to choose from. St Andrews CathedralJust east of Darling Harbour, along Druitt Street, you will also find the Sydney Town Hall, and St Andrew's Cathedral. The 1888 Sydney Town Hall is a spectacular Victorian building which often holds free lunchtime concrets. St Andrews Cathedral hosts a number of interesting artifacts. A great way to get to Darling Harbour and see the sights along the way is on the Monorail, which runs from various points across the city. Or you can walk to Town Hall Station, Chinatown, Haymarket, Hyde Park, Pitt Street Mall, Capitol Theatre and Queen Victoria Building (QVB). Almost everything the city centre has to offer, your Home is just few minutes away from Central Station, Darling Harbour, China Town, Paddy's Market, World Square Shopping Centre, Town Hall station, QVB, Westfield Shopping Centre, and a wide range of restaurants, cafes, pubs, etc. Ticking all the right boxes! Being situated in a very central location saves you valuable time and money. Getting AroundNeedless to say, surrounded by trains, cabs and buses, getting around is not going to be a problem at all. (TIP: Sydneysiders commute mostly by train, bus or light rail. Alternatively you may look online for other suitable parking options. If you just need to park your car temporarily for an hour or so, then you may observe the paid street parking signs around us. If you need to rent a car, the nearest care rental depot is "AVIS" located at World Square which is about a 2min walk away from where we are. Alternatively you may look online for other suitable rental car options such as Park Hound. (TIP: Parking in Sydney is super expensive! You'll be lucky to get away with AU$69 a day for parking. Try not to drive if you can cos you're located near them train stations and public transportation in the city is just amazingly convenient. Uber's my preferred option.) Other Things to NoteThis is a private unit ALL TO YOURSELF and you WON'T be sharing this with any strangers during your stay. Please be sure to notify us of your arrival times so that we can hand the keys to you personally. If you want to leave your luggage before checking-in or after you check-out, there are affordable luggage services and paid lockers at World Square. The luggage storage facility is known as CBD STORAGE located on level P6 at the corner of Pitt & Goulburn St. You may walk or drive in with 30 mins worth of free parking to drop off your luggages. They charge anywhere from AU$11 per piece for 24 hours worth of storage. This pad accommodates 3-4 adults comfortably but a max of 6 overnight. Any more than 3 adult guests overnight will attract an extra AU$25 per night, per additional guest. The sleeping arrangement for the 4th and 5th adult would be on a 2-seater sofa bed which folds out to a double with extra quilts, pillows, sheets & covers.
