Perfect for sharing with two families or with grandparents(URL HIDDEN)This log home is located on the West shore of Newfound Lake in the town of Hebron, NH. It is situated down a private dirt road in a protected cove. The view from the beach is looking at the widest part of the lake in a very peaceful and quiet part of the lake. This glacial lake is a beauty in the middle of New Hampshire and is 2.5 miles wide and 7 miles long, reaching depths of up to 180 feet, with 22 miles of shoreline. The water, fed by eight springs, is considered the most pristine in the state. The Lakes Region of New Hampshire is such a wonderful vacation spot for so many people year after year. Newfound Lake had many camps. The greatest impact on Hebron from the establishment of these camps, especially the ones that survive to this day, was unintentional. Large areas of shoreline and many acres of surrounding land have been kept in natural condition because of these camps. Further, in several cases, the land is now locked away in perpetual trusts that insures that these many acres remain forever wild. Between 1925 and 1945 tourism was a full blown industry at Hebron. The great camps that owned so much of the lakeshore on the north end kept the tourism activities and population density in Hebron much lower than that on the south end. This is still true today. Whereas, cottages and bungalows dotted the southern half, the northern half of the lake was limited to campgrounds, inns and private camp complexes. We are blessed to be in this special part of Newfound Lake! Newfound Lake has been referred to as New Hampshire's best kept secret and is known for excellent trout and bass fishing. Guest AccessThere are two Wilderness System sea kayaks, one Old Town canoe, paddles, adult life vests and various child life vests plus tubes and floats and Inflatable boat with paddles. There is a basketball hoop on paved driveway. There is wireless internet and cable television and many board games for indoor entertainment for those bad weather days. Interaction with GuestsI will provide a very detailed home "manual" with directions before arrival including a link to things in the area. I might be there to greet on your arrival or I might give you the code to get the key from a lock box. We are always a quick email or phone call away for any questions or problems. The NeighborhoodI have two rental homes on Newfound Lake that are separated by trees but are adjacent properties. This log home is adjacent to my other rental - " Vintage Cottage on Newfound Lake". The cottage is a 1920s seasonal cottage but the log home is ten years old and is a year round vacation rental. Getting Around•The log home is in the quaint town of Hebron. NH with town common and general store. •Great all season vacation rental. Boating, Swimming, hiking, snowmobiling, downhill and cross country skiing. •Downhill ski at Ragged Mountain in Danbury, NH which is 17 miles away and is a Great Family Ski Area! The SpaceThis is a vintage cottage but it has everything for a great family vacation and like visiting "Grandma's Beach House". It is rustic and campy in a private setting with 100' of frontage on Newfound Lake. Private beach and sitting area with a deck and an excellent location for fishing, canoeing, kayaking. There are two quality sea kayaks, life jackets, paddles, a canoe, sand chairs, beach chaise lounges, inflatable tubes/toys and inflatable boat all available. The crystal clear water provides a excellent swimming with a waterfront deck that overlooks a private sandy beach and swim area. An excellent place for small children with a gradual slope on the beach and a much protected cove. There is large picnic table and gas grill overlooking deck and beach for outdoor dining. There is both a screened in porch as well as a lakeside deck that both offer great views of the lake while sipping your morning coffee or evening cocktail. There is wireless internet and cable TV. In the evening, light the tiki torches and sit deck side with cocktails, enjoy a bonfire lakeside, make smores and listen to the loons. The calling of the loons is a beautiful sound in the evenings. A private lakeside on Newfound Lake is a vintage vacation few get to experience. The Lake views, the mountain views, the private sandy beach, the evening campfires, moon beams across the lake and the ducks and loons swimming by, the outdoor living just does not get any better than this. This is not a typical rental but a private owned vintage cottage that I grew up in and a very special lakeside experience with your own private beach, your own private waterfront deck, your own lakeside fire pit, your own lakeside picnic table and NO association or condo sharing and NO road between the cottage and the lake. Back in Time lodging with wireless technology: This is a vintage 'cottage' and certainly could use a lot work, but it has everything for a great family vacation. It is a rustic summer camp in a private setting with 100’ of frontage on Newfound Lake much the same as it was 65 years ago except for the technology. It is a beautiful place to be on a warm summer day but also a great getaway in the off season with very quiet kayak paddles and warm evening campfires by the lake. This is a seasonal cottage and there is no central heating but there is a small Vermont casting woodstove to warm up on fall and spring nights. You should come prepared with warm clothes any time of year but especially in the off season as the house is not heated. If interested, please message the following information: amount of overnight AND day guests, description of any pets, dates interested and how flexible you are on dates. There is no cleaning fee but there is a security deposit fully refundable if the cottage is left as you found it. Pets are welcome with prior approval and a pet fee per pet per stay. Rates vary by season, mid week, weekend and number of guests. Base rate is for up to four people with additional guest charge of $25 per person per night •One Bedroom with full size bed (second floor) •One Bunk room with bunk beds to sleep 6 (second floor) 4 single twin buns and one full size double - one middle bunk only suitable for child •1/2 Bath on second floor. No inside shower - Outside hot shower •Sleeper sofa on first floor Guest AccessYou are welcome to use items as if you are a family member but you are responsible for any damage or loss of items. There are two quality sea kayaks, adult life jackets, paddles, one canoe, sand chairs, beach chaise lounges, inflatable tubes/toys and inflatable row boat. You are welcome to use board games and any staple food items such as spices and condiments in refrigerator. Interaction with GuestsI will provide as much information as you need about the cottage before arrival including a link to the web site with links to things in the area and more photos. I might be there to greet on your arrival or I might give you the code to get the key from a lock box. The NeighborhoodI have two rental homes on Newfound Lake that are separated by trees but are adjacent properties. This cottage is adjacent to my other rental - " Log Home on Newfound Lake". The cottage is seasonal but the log home is a year round rental. Two properties side by side and each with a very different lakeside experience. Inquire about renting them both at the same time.

This is a vintage cottage but it has everything for a great family vacation and like visiting "Grandma's Beach House". It is rustic and campy in a private setting with 100' of frontage on Newfound Lake. Private beach and sitting area with a deck and an excellent location for fishing, canoeing, kayaking. THE SURROUNDING AREA This log home is located on the west shore of Newfound Lake in the town of Hebron, NH. Newfound Lake has been referred to as New Hampshire's best kept secret and is known for excellent trout and bass fishing.I have two rental homes on Newfound Lake that are separated by trees but are adjacent properties. This log home is adjacent to my other rental - “Vintage Cottage on Newfound Lake". The cottage is a 1920s seasonal cottage but the log home is ten years old and is a year round vacation rental. •The log home is in the quaint town of Hebron. NH with town common and general store.•Great all season vacation rental with fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, snowmobiling, downhill and cross country skiing.•Downhill ski at Ragged Mountain in Danbury, NH which is 17 miles away and is a Great Family Ski Area! Ragged Mountain has 53 trails (30% Novice, 40% Intermediate, 30% Expert), 4 terrain parks, a wonder carpet for kiddies and the only high speed 6 pack chairlift in New Hampshire. Other Ski Mountains include Loon (36 miles), Waterville Valley (32 miles), Sunapee, Gunstock (32 miles) and Cannon (44 miles) all within an easy day trip.• There is a seasonal market 3 miles south of cabin and Hebron general store 3 miles north. The town of Bristol is 7 miles south with year round restaurants and full grocery store. The larger town of Plymouth is a college town and is 13 miles North with more shopping and grocery stores and discount chain stores. Tilton is 20 miles south and has many outlets, restaurants and big box store shopping. • This is a private family cabin. There is no housekeeping and no cleaning fee BUT you must leave the house as you found it. • The Check in and out can be flexible but general check in is after 4 Pm and check out time is 10 AM • There may be food items in kitchen and refrigerator. You are welcome to use items such as spices, flour, sugar, condiments. •You must have a cell phone for emergency purposes as there is no phone. • BEACH – The log home has beach rights to 110 feet of shoreline. There is a swim raft anchored out deep water that you are welcome to use. The boat dock on shore is not to be used. There are tubes, sand chairs, toys, and life vests for adults and children. This beach area is used with one other home so please be very respectful of the neighbors. There are racks of boats and a small and large utility shed on beach that are NOT for your use. Do not take things from these sheds. You have beach rights to this semi-private beach area, please be respectful and do not dominate, pick a spot leaving room for the other home. Please NO glass and only use plastic cups outside as many are barefoot. No fishing off the shoreline. • BOATS There is one Old Town canoe and two good quality Wilderness System sea kayaks with gear in the log home garage or basement. You are welcome to use but you are responsible for any damage or loss. IMPORTANT: Do not use any boats or chairs stored at beach as they do not belong to log home! • Personal Boats of any size and off road vehicles, snowmobiles, ATVs and motorcycles are only allowed with prior approval and a signed addendum listing every boat or vehicle. This is for the purpose of explaining Newfound Lake Association rules, rights of way, storage options, protection of landscaping, property lines and driveways of neighbors and the beach. You are NOT allowed to bring without approval. There is no mooring or docking available for large boats. There is small beach you can pull up a boat. • LINENS: You must bring your own beach towels. Limited bath towels and bedding will be available. If you use a lot of towels and pillows, you should bring your own. • HOUSEKEEPING: There is NO housekeeping service and I am not charging cleaning fees. Please leave the log home as you found it. Pets are NOT allowed upstairs and there is a $50 fee per pet per stay. • WINTER USE: This is a country setting with road and driveway conditions totally dependent on weather and it is not possible to predict or provide snow and ice free access. Four wheel drive is highly recommended if snow is predicted or there has been recent storms. There is at least a quarter mile of private dirt road access to the driveway. Although they are plowed by the town AFTER all town roads are done it is a dirt road without continual cleanup and four wheel drive vehicles are almost necessary. You can control the heat but temperature cannot be set any higher than 72 degrees. If you need thermostat setting to be higher than 72 degrees, we can negotiate a maximum for a fee. Please turn the heat down at night and when you are away • GUESTS: We expect you to be honest on the amount of people that are overnight or day guests. Security deposits will not be returned if more people or pets are on property then stated without prior approval. NO large gatherings or parties will be allowed. Only guests listed on reservation are allowed on property without prior approval.

This is our family cottage and in our family for 62 years on the water's edge and private sandy beach on crystal clear Newfound Lake in Hebron NH. It is a vintage 'cottage' and certainly could use some work but it has everything for a great family vacation. It is rustic in a private setting with 100’ of frontage on Newfound Lake. There is a private beach and sitting area with a deck and an excellent location for swimming, sand castle building, fishing, canoeing, and kayaking. There are two sea kayaks, life jackets, paddles, canoe, sand chairs, chaise lounge, inflatable tubes/toys and inflatable boat. There is a waterfront deck that overlooks a private sandy swim area which is an excellent place for small children with a gradual slope on the beach and a very protected cove. Imagine the lake views, mountain views, private sandy beach, evening campfires, tiki torches, moon beams across the lake and ducks and loons swimming by, the outdoor living just does not get any better than this. Back in Time lodging with wireless technology: This is a vintage 'cottage' and certainly could use a lot work, but it has everything for a great family vacation. It is a rustic summer camp in a private setting with 100’ of frontage on Newfound Lake much the same as it was 60 years ago except for the technology. It is a beautiful place to be on a warm summer day but also a great getaway in the off season with very quiet kayak paddles and warm evening campfires by the lake. This is a seasonal cottage and there is no central heating but there is a Vermont casting woodstove to warm up on Fall and Spring nights.
