RESTAURANTS AND PUBS
We are surrounded by a remarkable collection of restaurants .
Beaconsfield - extremely well endowed with restaurants both in the Old Town, Brasserie Blanc, Crazy Bear, Spice Merchant (Indian) and the New Town.
Bourne End - Darlings small friendly and good.
Bray - The Fat Duck*****, The Waterside ****** very expensive but lunch slightly more reasonable, and more modest ,the Crown Pub that we enjoy in particular.
Cookham - a good selection of English pubs and restaurants including Indian, Maliks, andRiver Chinese, the Chef Peking. The Ferry is on the river and Stanley Spencer art gallery not far away.
Marlow-large selection and well worth walking down the high street and over 19c suspension bridge to visiting the Complete Angler with two restaurants alongside Thames Weir.
Windsor-do visit rather crowded Windsor and the Castle if you wish. Close by is Eton College and Brasserie Gilbeys. Best to go to Eton and park (if all goes well) and walk in.
Wooburn Common - the Blackwood Arms , charming pub and adjoins Burnham Beeches with numerous walks. Close to Dorneywood where the Government of the day's Chancellor resides.
