The SpaceEnjoy a unique stay in a private bedroom on our micro-farm.
Originally built in 1886 as a gentleman's farm for a prominent physician, now fully restored and modernized while keeping the original character, Larken Springs Farm is a quiet oasis in the heart of the Lehigh Valley.
Two bedrooms are available year-round. Each has a queen size bed and comfortable furnishings. Both rooms share a modern bath with separate shower and spa tub. One of the rooms also has a sitting room that contains a desk and daybed with twin mattress.
In the warmer months we can accommodate additional guests in the unheated summer kitchen at the rear of the house. Upstairs is bedroom with queen bed. Downstairs we can set up a queen size air mattress if needed.
The rooms are not quite as well appointed as the rest of the house, but they do allow for groups of up to 9.
Other rooms accessible to our guests include a full gourmet kitchen and dining room that seats (email hidden) room with cable television and a quiet parlor for relaxing after a hectic day.
Outside are many seating areas and gardens to wander through. The pool area has dining tables and lounge chairs for your further relaxation. We grow most of our own fruits and vegetables here on the property and have approximately 60 chickens that free range on the grounds and provide the best eggs you've ever tasted, available each morning for your breakfast. In July 2012, we added two Nigerian Dwarf Goat doelings, followed by 3 more in the fall of 2013. Spring 2015 saw the arrival of 4 kids born on the property. These beautiful girls will one day provide milk and cheese.
When was the last time you awoke to a rooster crowing?
To clarify, this is a bed and breakfast. We live here with our 3 dogs, one shy cat, 8 goats and many chickens. We rent 3 bedrooms that share a large private bathroom. The kitchen/dining room, living rooms and outside spaces are all available for guests' use.
