The SpaceThis house has been featured on national television. It gets gorgeous light throughout the day via east and south-facing windows and windowed doors that wrap all the way around--if sunrises and sunsets over the desert with mountain silhouettes are something you appreciate you will love living here! The bedroom also has windows with views (see photos), The house is an easy 3 minute walk to Hesperia Lake, and a gorgeous drive from Lake Arrowhead (ski, snowboard, holiday and summer fun). The bedroom makes an excellent getaway for a couple or a single person looking to leave the metropolis (Los Angeles, San Francisco, wherever) and enjoy a desert retreat in a beautiful and peaceful home with easy access to many recreational activities. It also makes an excellent (this comes from a writer and filmmaker) place to focus on working on a project of a creative nature. Guest AccessFull kitchen with granite countertops marble flooring and breakfast nook with seating. Proper breakfast table and formal dining room, as well as side deck with two tables and BBQ for grilling. The house has an expansive paved driveway with plenty of room for your vehicle. Interaction with GuestsBeyond the private bedroom and amazing views,We are also friendly people, happy to offer advice about the area and the recreational and fun things it has to offer. The NeighborhoodWe are just off the end of Main Street (a mile or two down Main St you'll find all sorts of shops, restaurants, and the rest), and a 3-minute walk to Hesperia Lake, which is visible from the master bedroom and most of the house. I like going running there, or taking an afternoon or morning walk there. There's fishing, wildlife, boats, BBQs, and seasonal events at the lake (sometimes with fireworks and live music). I enjoy to go hiking in the desert mountains surrounding us too. Lake Arrowhead is about a 25 minute or so drive through gorgeous terrain. Up the mountains is a whole slew of fun recreational activities. Getting AroundLet me know if you'd like to be picked up from the local train station or bus station. There is some public transit, but having a car is optimal. Eventually we'll get some loaner bikes for folks and maybe some dirt bikes (ask). Dirt bikes and horseback riding are big around here as terrain is ideal. Nearby Apple Valley is also an excellent place for dirt bike and equestrian activity. We are up the 15 Freeway from Glen Helen Blockbuster Pavilion where big concerts are held. Other Things to NotePlease ask any questions you may have! Happy to answer them. Open to alternate pricing for long-term stays, additional guests, and happy to discuss accommodating children and (some) pets.
