The SpaceIt is a fully equipped self contained home away from home. I have considered all the places I have stayed ( which are lots and varied ) and done my best to provide all the amenities a traveller needs, including privacy, but with someone available with local knowledge. Guest AccessGuests have access to wifi , Local buses , galleries, coffee shops eateries, and I am very close to the city , southbank, and the convention centre and the Universities. Interaction with GuestsThe apartment is built into my house, and so I am generally available for help or information about this location, places to see, general local travel and advice. The NeighborhoodI like the proximity to the most exciting aspects of Brisbane, the cultural precinct, south bank, and west end with its multicultural flavor, great food, and night life. Getting AroundThere is a bus stop 2 minutes away, which accesses the city through to the valley, and new farm. The cultural precinct and west end are a modest walk away, around 20 minutes. Similarly the universities. Other Things to NoteI wish my guests a happy and enjoyable stay, and that if they require anything to let me know.

The SpaceHouse is about 100 years old. That's old for Australia! It's made from locally felled trees. Shared bathroom and kitchen. Limited Wifi provided. You're welcome to use the laundry too. I'd be very interested to meet you and show you around if we both have time and it suits you. West End is one of the more interesting suburbs of Brisbane. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés and bars with live music to keep you entertained. There are some good record stores, a recycled bicycle store, etc. There's a public swimming pool, nice parks by the river and in the tip if the hill near my house. Public transport in Brisbane sucks arse. Use the City Bikes (nearest station is 500m from the house) or be prepared to wait. I can lend you a pushbike if you are prepared to leave a deposit. Ask me. I have a very large and very friendly dog called Bill Murray. He's allowed in the house but not in your bedroom. He won't eat you. Shared bathroom and kitchen. Limited Wifi provided. The SpaceThe bedroom is very large and airy, with a TV, fan and heater, double bed, low table, clothes hangers, credenza and also a couch. Guest AccessHigh speed internet, washing machine, all kitchen and bathroom amenities. Toilet/Bathroom is shared. There is a small back yard. Interaction with GuestsI'm very easy going, social and broadminded but also very respectful of the privacy of my guests. I always like to greet my guests on arrival and I want them to feel right at home. The NeighborhoodMy neighbourhood is generally quiet and peaceful, but it's close enough to West End, Queensland Uni, Southbank and Brisbane City that you can be out and about in minutes, enjoying the Queensland sunshine. My apartment is on the ground floor of a house that has been split into 4 apartments and is situated in a quiet little cul-de-sac. Getting AroundBus stops are a 2 minute walk away for buses into Qld Uni, Southbank, Brisbane city and New Farm. You can walk to QLD Uni in about 20 minutes and Southbank/City in about 40 mins. Off street parking is available. Taxi from the airport is probably the best way to get here, or hire a car, although there is a train service from the airport to Brisbane city. Other Things to NoteI am home most weekends and on week nights as I work 8.30 am - 5.00 pm Mon to Fri. Because I am usually at work during the week days there is nobody who can let you into the apartment, so please keep this in mind when booking your travel.
