The SpaceExperience peaceful county living in a beautifully relaxing cottage with everything you'll need. Located 15 minutes form Tamworth CBD and 3 minutes from the Airport. Please note that if there are also rooms available in the main house on the same property for $60 - $75/person/night during the Country Music Festival or Agquip. Interaction with GuestsI love to welcome guests and show them around the cottage. It's lively meeting people and having a chat when they first arrive but after that I mostly leave them to get in with things. The NeighborhoodThe wide open spaces are beautifully serene. A view from every angle! Getting AroundThere's no public transport to our place, but being so close to the airport, Taxi's will happily transport you. The fare from the town centre would be somewhere around $30. I'm happy to pick up/drop guests at the airport if I can. And if I'm running to and from town you're welcome to grab a ride! Other Things to NotePlease note that there are only 2 bedrooms in the cottage. The master bedroom only has a queen sized bed and the other larger room has a queen size bed, a double/single bunk and a single bed in it. This set up is only suitable for people who are comfortable sharing. There is a spare queen mattress that can be placed in the living room for those groups who really don't mind piling in. There is s charge of $50/person/night for numbers over 7. There are 2 portacots available as well. No need to consider additional costs per night for children under 2 years old. Unfortunately, the cottage is not available to bucks/hens nights/weekends.

Ducted, reverse cycle air conditioning to stay cool in summer and warm in winter. A wood fire heater to keep warm and cozy on those chilly days. Your own bathroom (not en-suite) Free wi-fi. Bottomless coffee, milo and an assortment of tea included. Provisions for a delicious full breakfast available so you can prepare your own breakfast at your leisure. Children of any age are most welcome, but please note that I do NOT have a cot or highchair. Plenty of room for your pets to run free in the secure backyard. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the comfortable lounge area, kitchen, dining, guests only bathroom, laundry, verandahs and the garden and pool. The only places off limits are bedrooms other than your own, the store room and my art studio, unless invited of course :) Ample street parking in a quiet neighbourhood with very little traffic. Please do not park behind my car in the driveway. Nearby shopping village with Chemist, Doctor, Supermarket, Butcher, Bottle shop and Café. Interaction with GuestsI would like my guests to interact with me as often or as little as they feel comfortable doing. I am a people person so am always up for a chat :) I am more than happy to show my guests around Tamworth if it fits into my schedule, or just sit and chat with a cool drink or a cuppa on the verandah. I teach art lessons some days and evenings, so although I am not able to be out of the studio at this time, my guests are more than welcome to come in and watch for a while or to simply poke their heads in the door with any questions. My guests are also very welcome to join in our fun lessons at a special "guests rate" :) Guests are very welcome to join our family at meal times, provided I have notice so there is plenty to go around or alternatively may use the kitchen whenever they like to prepare meals using their own main ingredients. I am often asked by guests to provide an evening meal. As mentioned above, I am very happy to do this in most cases, but please be aware that it is an extra service and not a given. I am busy with my daughters commitments or my art classes on some evenings, so I may not always be available to cook you a meal. If I do cook your meal, a small $13 fee will be charged per person over 12yrs. Children under 12yrs will be $7 to cover my additional expenses. Become part of our family during your stay or if you prefer your privacy, that's okay too :) The NeighborhoodPeaceful bushland setting. Great neighbours and very private no through road. Just a short 2km (15-20 minute walk) to a nearby shopping village and walking distance to parks. Please note that Tamworth CBD (Peel St) is 8 km from my home. Getting AroundBusses are available from nearby bus stop. For a small cost, I am happy to drop off and pick up in my own car. Of course, if I am going out anyway you would be very welcome to catch a lift with no charge. Taxis are readily available and also car rental. Other Things to NoteI moved to Tamworth almost two years ago. My quiet, well behaved 16-year-old daughter lives with me and would be delighted to babysit if required. I have four more daughters who live away, who visit from time to time. If your booking coincides with their visit, I will be sure to let you know before you book if possible, and if it's a surprise visit, as soon as I know. We have an above ground salt water pool in the back yard, which you are free to use at anytime you like. Please note that it has not long been repaired, so at this stage does not have a deck around it and so is not quite as picturesque as I would like. Hopefully, it won't be too long before this is done :) We have two outside dogs. Rufus who is a very friendly Labrador/Kelpie cross and Josie who is a Poolkie (Silky/Poodle cross). Both dogs are extremely friendly and need not be feared in any way. Your dog is most welcome but must be cleaned up after and on a chain outside at night. If your four-legged friend is normally an inside dog, please discuss this with us BEFORE booking. I feel sure we could work something out to keep everyone happy. PLEASE NOTE - If the extra bed is required (even if there are only two guests) the $10 third person fee will be charged to cover laundering costs. Due to my often busy mornings, getting my daughter off to school, I will not have time to cook your breakfast for you. Please help yourself to the assortment of breakfast goodies in the fridge and pantry. You'll find eggs, bacon, mushrooms, fruit, yoghurt, cereals, bread etc....
