Discounts available for multiple room rentals. The Inn , an impressive modified Elizabethan style house, located in downtown Holland Michigan, was built in 1889 for Dr. and Mrs. Kremer. Thirty years later, it was sold to the City of Holland and became Holland's first hospital, then home to Hope College's Knickerbocker Fraternity, and finally the Netherlands Museum. In 1995, the house was purchased by Rein & Kay Wolfert who renovated and restored it back to its former glory. This lovely home contains 6 guest rooms each with its own private bathroom, TV, air conditioning/heating control and access to free Wi-Fi. Each room accommodates up to 2 guests. The SpaceThe cottage has a very open, circular layout and is perfect for large groups of friends or family. The home was completely remodeled 2 years ago – won the "People's Choice" award here in Holland and is featured on Houzz. Guest AccessGuests will have access to a fully stocked kitchen for great home cooked meals, beach towels to use at the local beaches (10-15 minutes away) and all towels/linens. There is also a washer and dryer in the basement. We have high-speed internet, DVD player, record player, speakers and Apple TV available for your entertainment. Interaction with GuestsWe have a digital keypad that is easy for guests to get into the cottage and our entire home is set up on the Nest system which automatically sets the heat and AC to comfortable temps. The NeighborhoodThe cottage is located in a cute community that is great for taking walks down to the piers, riding bikes on the path across the street, using the boat launch, renting jet skis and bikes at the marina and enjoying a waterfront dinner at the Piper down the road. Getting AroundThe bike path is directly across the street from the cottage and goes into both Holland and Saugatuck. The SpaceOur ranch style Mid Century Modern house is easy access to Eldean's Marina, Big Red Light house downtown Holland,Hope College and the Saugatuck area. There is plenty of parking for additional guests. There are a few rickety bikes old adult bikes you may use in the garage and lots of bike paths in the area. The house has so many areas to sit in and relax. The deck off of the back has great afternoon sun with plenty of seating and lounge chairs. The Front of the house gets the morning sun but is awesome on the hot summer nights. There is a wooden table for dining on the front side of the house as well as a patio with outdoor chairs. There is a net for badminton and also there is a croquet set in the garage. There are a few board games in the front closet. There is an old portable record player and a few records but if you have kids please don't let them play with it you can close it and lock it. Guest AccessThe Park Ave house has a land line telephone # (as the cell phones can be spotty) and we have wifi and a limited cable TV package. See OVERVIEW section below for beach access locations. Interaction with GuestsMy husband and I are at a cottage nearby in the summer months and are available by phone. We have both land lines and cell phones. I Can meet you to give you keys and welcome you or I can leave the key in a specified place for pick up. The NeighborhoodBEACHES: 1st is the Macatawa Beach which is where the Big Red lighthouse is, but the public can only access that on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You can ride bikes or walk there because beyond the gate house there is extremely limited parking for cars. I looked on Internet maps and it says its 1 mile from our house. 2nd Is the Laketown Township Park/ Beach. This is between Macatawa and Saugatuck. It is on Lake Michigan just south of our cottage. You need to drive there and it is 3.8 miles or 8 minutes by car and there is parking there. 3rd you can drive around Lake Macatawa to the Holland State Park Beach which is on the north side of the channel. There is parking and it takes 24 minutes by car and its 12 miles by car. Internet maps and you can put in Park Ave Macatawa,Michigan as your starting point and check out all 3 options that I have given you by dropping and dragging the point B destination. Our House is actually in Macatawa Michigan. Sanctuary Woods is just down the street on 66th Street at 32nd St. Take a hike through the forest to the dune stairway and up around the trail until you find a breathtaking view of Lake Macatawa and Lake Michigan. The Macatawa Bay Yacht Club just down the street and they might take weekly memberships especially if you have a kid in sailing camp. Contact them at 2157 S Shore Dr, Macatawa, MI (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) . There are so many walking paths and bike paths that go either into Holland or into Saugatuck. A great place to start is by checking out the Holland Farmers Market on Satuday and Wednesday mornings in the summer. (live jazz music) Best spot to pick up good h'ordeurves is Pereddies. dont miss their pesto torte, great Olive selection, and charcuterie choices. If you want an all organic store go to Natures Market on 1013 Washington Ave. If you want a big box grocery store I reccomend Family Fare, on Washington Ave, D&W on Douglas Ave, or Meijers on 16th at Rt 31. The SpaceStaying on a peninsula allows for enjoying in-land lake fun(water skiing, stand-up boarding, etc.) and big lake boating, fishing and miles of beach. The house was built by Melgert Van Regenmorter in 1904. The house has undergone modern transformations, but certain antiques and traditions Dr. Beith has maintained to keep the flavor of the Victorian Era. Macatawa has been a place where friends and family gathered to enjoy the cool breeze off the lake and the simple pleasures of life. Therefore, to promote old fashion family time, cable TV is not offered. There are two TV's and DVD players for use. Birds have always been a past-time at Mac The Life. A glass family room is a recent addition to enjoy bird watching from inside while sipping coffee. Bird feeders to draw multiple mid-west birds to the house are maintained for the guests viewing pleasure. Caramels were always in a candy dish at the door. They will be waiting for you. Guest AccessWireless interactive Roku TV with access to; Netflix, amazon prime, HBO GO, Showtime Anywhere, Hulu, Vudu, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Play, most major channels on demand. (There is an extra HDMI cable for laptop or Apple TV .) Boat and Bike Rentals across the street (until Labor Day); stand-up boards, kayaks and canoes. (we have 4 different bikes in the garage) We provide wagon to carry beach supplies, fire pit in the back yard, grill, private beach access. When walking with children and the wagon allow for 15 minute walk to the center section of the beach. A posting of water temp. and assistance is available at the guard house. Macatawa Tennis Club and Macatawa Yaght Club offers sailing and tennis options. The NeighborhoodThe peninsula is maintained in the Victorian state of board walks and a center parking lot. Absolutely beautiful. Macatawa is nestled between the towns; Saugatuck and Holland, which hosts many restaurants, stores, art galleries, and breweries. Macatawa Beach is home to the beloved light house, Big Red. Getting AroundBicycle riding is fantastic and driving to the local towns for entertainment. Other Things to NoteThere is a 1 car garage and a driveway to allow 1 car. Only 2 cars are allowed per renter. There is limited space on the peninsula. A wagon is provided for the beach.

    The prime location of this new, first class, unique lakeside home in the resort community of Macatawa makes it easy to relax and enjoy your vacation. The Bungalow vaction rental is set on a spacious, well groomed lot overlooking the active Lake Macatawa Harbor. The sandy beaches of Lake Michigan are a lazy walk away. A 2nd floor deck allows the luxury of enjoying the pleasant summer evenings, the waterfront, and the harbor activity. For the Boater, slips are available to rent next door at the Eldean Shipyard marina. The Bungalow is a modern cottage condo, attached to a private residence. It has all the comforts of home including a cozy kitchen fully equipped with granite counters and stainless steel appliances. The living room features a 20-foot ceiling and windows and deck overlooking the water. The 3 bedrooms, one with a king bed, one with a queen bed, and one bedroom with bunk beds, provide sleeping up to 7. Other features include 2 baths, 3 cable TV's, a washer and dryer, central air conditioning, a gas grill on the deck, and a 2 stall garage. A Ping Pong Table is located in the garage. All linens and bath towels are provided. This is a non-smoking unit and pets are not allowed. Internet Access is Available. In addition to the Bungalow facilities, guests will have access to the exclusive Macatawa beach. The long, private, sandy beach is located on the western shore of Lake Michigan and stretches as far as you can see. The "Big Red" lighthouse that marks the Holland Harbor Channel stands proud at the North end of Macatawa Beach.           The SpaceHolland is a town full of activity- year round. Whether it's heading to the beach, enjoying the many bike trails, taking in a performance or athletic event at Hope College, or enjoying the variety of breweries and restaurants downtown. Everyone finds something they enjoy about Holland that keeps them coming back. Guest AccessGuests have access to the first floor of our home as well as our hot tub and spacious backyard. Parking is included. You can come and go as you like. Interaction with GuestsI'll be available by phone, text or email if you find you need anything during your stay, but we will not be on the premises. Please make yourself at home! The NeighborhoodWe are located in a residential area. It is a short bike ride to Lake Macatawa and Holland State Park. Kayaks and Paddle Boards are available for rent across from the Holland State Park Camping area. Experience the climb at Mt. Pisgah - 230+ steps to the top of the dune but well worth a glimpse of the Lake and Big Red. Be sure to take your camera. Other hiking trails are accessible. Don't miss the Ottawa Beach General Store's 24 Flavors of soft serve when you come back down! Or another local treat is the Tommy Turtle at Captain Sundae, located towards town on Ottawa Beach Road. Other Things to NoteDuring the summer months we have a vegetable garden out back. Please help yourself to any ripe vegetables you find you'd enjoy. We have a beach umbrella and beach chairs you can take to the beach.
